First time player and I'm addicted. A few hours into the second campaign and it's a lot tougher with little space in the UK map. Now I understand how personal work it should help a bit. Thanks for the series
For personel, the numbers I've been using is: 10 hours 200% training 100% wages 200% welfare 50% recruitment. Seems to have the least cost for maximum efficiency.
Yes I like the idea of them spacing out as we don't need as many trains in this version. I noticed if you rename a line, it gives you less letter/number spaces than what the game gives itself! lol But you can use any symbol which is great [unlike a lot of games]. Edit: The auctions are really expensive! I notice in the saves, it even keeps tabs on how long you are playing the mission! I left it on and had my dinner and it chalked up an unecessary hour! lol
I’ve notice your can build a station in the middle of nowhere to build a hotel or warehouse transfer hub Also you can cross four tracks to get to the other two tracks as connects or even cross as parallel tracks
I wish there were an option to select if a line should auto-space or not. If set to full load at a resource site then it sorts itself out. Actually if it could be disabled for each stop on a line it would be even better as you could tell it to do the waiting at a less busy station...
Regarding the issue of the train waiting to get on the wrong platform at the station, I've wondered why you've been putting gridirons at every station when you already have dedicated directional tracks. Seems like a pretty marginal case where you'll have two trains coming in on the same track that need to get into the station at the same time.
I think this issue can be solved when you remember the fact that trains will always try to take the shortest route to its destination, so maybe the solution to train arriving at a platform that goes against the direction of travel is to specify the platform you want it to arrive on at its destination when you are setting up the line. Hope this explanation makes sense?
@@colindouglas7769 Yeah, that makes sense. Designating a platform is along the same lines as what I was getting at, which is whether it's necessary to have gridirons at every single entrance of every single station, especially if - as was demonstrated in this video - the AI can't be trusted to find an empty platform on its own. In the case of a simple two-track line, with no switching or joining tracks nearby, what's being accomplished when both tracks are locked directionally anyway? So, that's what I was questioning in my comment, and your response seems to work on the same reasoning. Either way, you're not getting a situation where an incoming train can make use of an adjacent platform if it comes up behind a waiting train going in the same direction. Thanks for your response. I don't have the game, so I only pick up things as they come up in videos and comments. Cheers!
Wow there are a lot of people playing this game GranT, I just finished the 1st campaign, and after seeing my score "664" (clerk) and I thought I was doing good. I could restart, but I think I'm headed to the next campaign.

For some reason, a bunch of comments were hidden. This is not my usual reply time. Lol
I like the gentle swaying of the cab camera, as it is authentic, especially over old track!
Edit: My, the grass is tall! lol

lol wait till he connect Toronto>Buffalo>london the sheer passenger outpout on just 3 cities are just broken xD
Will be fun watching you play through this campaign; I was a bIt more aggressive with the lines and 3 stations to a city!

Ive found that if i use four tracks between cities two for express and two for freight trains i dont need any more most of the time 😄
That's pretty much what I do these days!

Anyone got any idea why my train won't perform an action at the end is the line?
Which video covers the Buffalo to Albany line
One of the next couple, maybe the next episode?
Thanks. I'm not seeing them in order . Plus it's first time I've played a game like this 👍
@alandurham1495 there's a Playlist on the channel main page. If that helps.
