What kind of dog was Montey mated with?
Just a heads up that eucalyptus leaves and oil are poisonous to dogs and cats (and horses apparently). You and Joey probably already know this as you mentioned keeping the branches away from the structure, but just in case... I would leave a link to the ASPCA info on this, but I don't think YT allows links in comments anymore. Also left this info in a general comment below. The puppies are huge and so gorgeous! 💜

One of my cats got a leaf out of the trash thank God for 24hr emergency veterinarian hospital very scary night he survived but way pretty sick
Thats definitely something to research which plants are toxic, as things we use like essential oils in our humidifiers and around the house can be harmful to pets. Baby's breath is harmful to both human and animals. emergency vet visit can cost up to 3 grand so I recommend pawp subscription. They will pay one emergency vet visit a year and you can add up to 6 animals on the policy.
@@kathleenoneill5470 Oh no! I'm glad your kitty is okay 💜🙏 It's crazy how toxic some of the most seemingly harmless plants can be for animals! Also, I guess most essential oils are super toxic for cats, even more than for dogs.
@@JayofallTrades Yes, for sure! When I started using essential oils, I stumbled upon the fact that cats lack the ability to metabolize essential oils, even if it's the oil of a plant they could ingest in plant form (because the oil is so highly concentrated). I think they can suffocate from the inside or something like that, yikes. I'd known about lilies being lethal, but hadn't know about eucalyptus and essential oils until I started researching further. Didn't know that about baby's breath, thanks for the tip! Will look into pawp, the costs of ER visits are wild...

@Mister Preda my Astrid loves her lamby as well. She got a new one for her gotcha day yesterday.
Putting a semi-permanent puppy pen in that side yard would be the perfect solution since there is so many pups going through the house. Speaking from experience, astroturf is the way to go...it is so much easier to just take the hose and break down what can't be picked up rather than trying to determine if you "got it all" Way cheaper to diy it than to purchase something.
It is so wonderful to see a positive post-break up relationship! You both set a really great example of how to be friends, still care for each other and be healthy.
I feel you with Christmas. It was so magical as a child and some of that magic has faded now as an adult. But I try and think of why it was so magical as a kid, and bring some of those things back. Like driving around and looking at lights, decorating, going to a Christmas show, making Christmas cookies. That in the last few years has helped me find more magic and joy in Christmas. As a kid the magic was just there, but as an adult I’ve learned you have to make it yourself. Here’s to everyone finding some magic this holiday season!
My mother just passed away last month after a terrible 3 year battle with ALS. Christmas was her favorite holiday. My husband and I don’t have kids yet so I’m just not into it this year. I’m also a NICU nurse so I’ll be working Christmas. Thank you for the videos. Watching you, Joey, and a few other channels have really helped so much when I’ve needed to just try and forget the world even for a few minutes at a time. ❤❤
I'm so sorry for your loss, Laura 💙 Losing a beloved parent is awful, and it can be so rough around the holidays. Daniel's and Joey's videos are so healing and positive to watch when grieving. Jenna Marbles' silly videos (especially her dogs) made me laugh and were a welcome distraction from the pain of losing my sweet, amazing mom. It's hard to process it all without some relief, comic or otherwise. Sending much love and light your way 💜🌟

Omg the fact that monty brings you toys must be a golden thing. My golden retriever mix always brought us a toy when we got home. He had a lamb chop too! We miss him so much 😭
I'm 34 and I agree as an adult Christmas just feels different until you have kids We had 15 years just us before our son we had our son in June of 2021 he was 6 months last Christmas and 18 months this Christmas it makes everything magical again and so much fun seeing it through his eyes for the first time ❤️

Daniel, you're such a great Dog Dad. You take such good care of Monty, and the puppies. As for Christmas, I can't do anything this year.
I think Daniel's theory about fur colors are correct. My golden retriever was a light creme one when she was a puppy, only her ears were darker coloured. She darkened every year until she reached her current darkest colour after 3 years. She's 9 years old now! She's the light of my life.❤️
When you squeezed the pickle dog toy my dog was TRIGGERED. He wanted it haha.
The Holidays are still magical, as a grandparent, but they are also a hell of a lot of work for those of us who like to keep the old family foods traditions alive.

Hope your mom is feeling better, Daniel! My mom and I have stopped decorating, because we are focusing more on just spending time being together and enjoying each other's (and our parakeet's) company. My wish for the rest of the Dog Dad series is that all the puppies will continue to be happy and healthy, and find their way into their forever families. As always, keep up the amazing work!

My eleven year old daughter and I have been watching Monty's journey with her new puppies on UA-cam. They are so cute and we feel so connected with them thru your videos. Have all the puppies found homes yet? If not, where can I go to fill out the information to potentially get on a waiting list? I think Monty's story of being of foster dog first and then joining your family is awesome. We love your Huskies too. We watched all of Lark's videos of her mommy journey as well. After all the animal cuteness I found out you did home decor videos. I started watching those to try and get ideas and inspiration. You have a great channel and I appreciate your message of being kind and positive. We need a little more of that in our world.
Monty is the hekin best! 🥰 She’s such a sweetheart. I always say it’s not the breed it’s the owner and I can tell you’re an amazing doggo owner.
8:48 was the cutest omg the minute you showed her that lambchop she was like yep that's mine haha💕and what a good girl monty is taking a bath awww. And the pupperoniums are getting so big and twig has to be my fav i can relate I'm tiny as well 4'11 130 pounds used to be 75 pounds and i ate alot too not so much anymore. When people say it will catch up to you when you get older i thought it was a lie turns out it wasn't. And your cornbread looks delicious daniel yum. These videos bring me so much joy and my depression is in overdrive right now so this really helps.
Daniel I have grown to love you channel and LOVE your personality. I can see your compassion and kindness. I have watched Joey's channels for a while now, since I am also an animal lover, and your quips back and forth makes me laugh. I'm not sure why anyone would say you were mean because you are anything but. Keep it going you had me at Dog Dad.
You and Joey have a great and fun relationship. You can joke and banter but work well together. I truly love you both. I enjoy you being yourself more! Your amazing!

I've skipped the holidays tge last 4 years because my grandson won't be coming so more of the same. I agree with you partly - the side is great use of space but the plants would need to be suuuuupersecure because of risk of poison, but the puppies would be mer tucked away and easier to get stolen without surveillance

I absolutely love your style. From flowers to clothing to designing kitchens. You are my new favorite person. You really are the whole package. I'm feeling sad for Joey that he lost you. I'm thrilled you are still friends. I'm a little sad that it takes so much time and effort to deck the halls and then in the blink of an eye it's over. The magic of the holiday season definitely seemed to last longer when I was a child. It's just alot of work to take down in 5 weeks. But...I'm doing it anyway. I have a big gorgeous heavily flocked faux tree. White and red ornaments with beautiful red birds. It's so pretty.

I’m glad Joey’s oven is fine after his friend who was baking had a fire in there. She’s apart of the Can’t Cook Tribe. I’m sure they inspected the inside to make sure nothing was damaged, but oven fires are scary… expensive oven fires are even scarier. 🥴🤭

Your idea for the puppy pen is really good. It would probably cost less money and definitely last longer. I’ve seen the pen that Joey is talking about and I think it’s just a bit too small because the puppies are going to get really big and there’s 11 of them.

I just had a baby. so with 9 yr and a newborn and 2 dogs oh i love the holidays and my husky body learned how to open presents hes 1 and his dog brother is 4 yrs old and he too loves lamb chop!
