Fix Error 5B00 on Canon Pixma Printers MG5320 Clear Code

- 5B00 error code on Canon printers is very common after a few thousand pages of use. It refers to ink absorber pads being full. In my printer, some pads were actually white and I know it isn't full. I hope this video can help you reset your printer.

finally one that works, super helpful thank you. i've watched dozens of these videos, none of them worked, this is the only one that had the process right for my machine.

I would love to see a video on how to replace the ink absorber pad on this. I love my CANON PIXMA MG5220. It’s so heavy duty and well built.
Hi. The ink waste tank is bery hard to get to. If you have the error on screen, replacing the actual waste Ink pads will not clear the message. You still need to reset the error. On my printer o just went ahead and bought a reset code online for $10 and had my "absorber pad full" error cleared quick.

UPDATE: I couldn’t find any printer repair shops in my area. And before I got your above response, as a last ditch effort, I actually tried to take the printer apart myself. I saw videos of people swapping out ink absorber pads. I figured I’d give it a try. That didn’t go well as I’m not electrically inclined. The printer is now inoperable. I plugged it in and it won’t turn on. I’m wondering if it’s worth it to sell parts online like:
- the manual
- power cord
- & the Printhead
The magenta was not printing. I tried to do a printhead cleaning weeks ago. Magenta was still clogged. Not sure if the Printhead it fixable or operable for another person to use… what are your thoughts?

Hello, sorry but I don't the interest of your video, except showing how to go to service mode. That's not clear at all on how to reset the counter to clean the 5B00 error... and at 3:20, it looks like you still have the error message...

Hi there! Do you know where the ink absorber is or how to get to it? My MG6120 looks pretty close to your printer, except for mine has touch screen buttons. Trying to see if I can maybe clean the absorber myself.

Hi. I do not know that, but if you can get sublimation ink cartridges for your printer model, then yes, you can have sublimation printer converted that way. If you do find ink, make sure to flush your printhead to get rid of standard ink. See video link how I flush it.

Watched UA-cam clip on manually cleaning print heads but can I flush them? I am still get streaky line through the black only. Have a Canon Pixma iP4950 Tx Robyn
Hi. Yes, you can flush the but do not hard force water down the nozzles. I recommend rinsing the bottom of the printhead with warm water for a few minutes.
I pulled out the print head then reinstalled it and it feels all loose, ink crats still pop in but nothing prints? am i suppose to hear a click noise when installing the print head?
I pressed power button 5 times instead of cancel and my printer is off and failed to turn on again what can i do?

It is in English language, but you can follow the action and it may show you where to look. You can also set subtitles on youtube to translate to Turkish language, but I think you will be able to understand what to do just by looking.
