When I purchased my S21 Ultra, it used to get too hot in first couple of days and battery life wasn't good either. However, it learned the usage patterns and stopped heating and improved the battery life as well after 2-3 weeks of usage.

Two things to remember, the S24 Ultra will get better as it learns the user’s usage. On the flip side, the 15 Pro Max’s battery is still about 550mAh smaller, So kind of equals out. Both phones are beasts.
Alright quit mentioning the resolution, it’s been proven by phonebuff that it’s irrelevant especially with the size difference of the batteries.
The Galaxy has way more pixels to display as well.

The fact that Samsung's battery optimization being so close to Apple, but still massively improved within the last couple of years means that Samsung has been doing their homework. Apple has always been good at optimization and battery life, so no surprises. However, the fact that all of them reached well over eight hours makes any of them good depending on what you are looking for. Good job and great video!
Let's no forget that Apple only beat Samsung in the battery department from the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Seems like different youtubers get different results with the 24 Ultra and 15Pro Max, but the thing is the Ultra optimizes itself after a while learning how to save battery based on usage
Edit: I just wanna say a lot of ppl are missing my point on why I mentioned the S24 learns how to save battery based on the phone usage. The other phones here also do that, I KNOW😂, but they have been out already for a few months I'm guessing. The S24 wasn't given time to learn and optimize the battery usage yet. The battery life will increase. The inconsistencies with the test will become more consistent and I predict the S24 will come out on 1st place much more frequently

Very happy to know that the battery backup difference between the S24 ultra and the S23 ultra is very little; 😊😊 their backup is almost same, even though there is a more powerful and more power efficient processor in the new S24 ultra. That would be great test - but why only Samsungs have active cell networks? That is very important detail.
i would say this whole test is inaccurate. some phone had bluetooth actived some not(?). some cell service some not (cuz prob some had sim cards in, but pls for god sake turn on airplone mode). seen a different test where the pixel 8 managed to get 10hours. also by the looks its seems some phones have different brightness level as others like the s24 looks a bit darker as everyone else. weird so i wouldnt count this test as valid. also having a multiple phones running games & daily apps is already on the edge, some prob fps capped so they dont draw as much power as others since they are just more powerful & dont run at max capacity / being in a different area of the game (like pubg all phones swimming except the oneplus open area which has a way higher gpu hit.)

What happing to the 15 ProMax at 4:38?. In another video the S24U won by like an hour out the box without the S24U learning battery usage yet. This test needs to done again once the Samsung S24 Ultra really learns your battery usage, not including once it starts receiving optimizing updates.

The S24 Ultra here has mobile network drawing power in the background, so does the S23 Ultra. It's not a fair comparison plus the Xiaomi has Bluetooth on. These tests should really be run in airplane mode if you really want to be accurate and control for as many variables as possible as mobile standby drain absolutely affects these results.
No they should be compared with mobile network usage, because thats how everyone uses their phones

@@Nissehult23 You can clearly see it at even 1 second in. There are signal bars on both phones and you can also see the Bluetooth icon on the Xiaomi. Then it starts to zoom in at 19 seconds in and you can examine each phone from there yourself.

I've only seen two other battery tests and only one had the S24U winning so I'm not sure where all these hundreds of tests are that prove their S24 ultra is better? Clearly it isn't based on this test. Hopefully an update before release as the temperatures were quite concerning on the S24U. Which is more of a worry to me as battery life should get better with updates.

Silly question, was the screen brightness left at default levels or was it adjusted the same across all phones? The reason I ask is the S24 Ultra has the brightest screen settings to date. I'm thinking screen brightness could negatively impact battery life if turned up to maximum, might also add to the phone getting hotter.
maximum screen brightness cannot be achieved just by switching to max brightness setting. It needs a specific situation like HDR content or direct sun light. All manufacturers generally have very similar default brightness level
Those 2000 nits 2600 nits display specs are just to attract customers and sell their phones.
The reality is no phones runs on its max brightness. Samsung 2600 Nits and apple 2000 nits but in day to day usage they may go max upto 1000 nits and moving further can consume high amount of battry,burn the display if used for a long time nd can cause permanent battery damage with heating issue.
However it runs on highest brightness only while watching HDR videos and only for some time.

@DRIVER-SEBVET well the snapdragon 3 has caught them in performance but trust me bro I started with ios years ago and it's too many limitations for me . I can't live without multi tasking, and freedom and things like advanced android emulation playing Mario 3d world on my s23 ultra . For me I'll never go back to ios . Also thing about it apple is charging you 800 for 60 hz w lower level battery when Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung are giving flagship battery, 120 hz and multi tasking for 500 or less. Android offers more value objectively

The 24U has throttling issues and stability issues. The Exynos 2400 equipped S24 and S24 Plus have the more stable chipsets. As 3D Mark have just tested.

Well in one channel S24U won by more than half an hour while here it lost in the similar way against iPhone 15 Pro Max but still it's too early to conclude when the device is still not availbale in the market and is running with initial software.

You never base it on one test as it is not scientific. I have seen three, and the iPhone beat S24U in two. The other one, by Xeethcare looked wrong as the S23U performed abysmal.

Bigger screen higher resolution s24 very impressive.
The resolution among all these phones are almost exactly the same so no difference there. The size matters more but again in terms of size they are all relatively equal as well
This test was undoubtedly done in order to give it an advantage that I could see why from time 8:11 to time 8:26 on the iPhone 15 Pro Max the image remained static, which makes it spend less energy since the pixels pass to rest state at 1Hz so to speak and therefore consumes less battery the time it took to reactivate the screen to continue playing gave 15 minutes of battery saving that is an unfair advantage for the other devices in the test that they continued working uninterruptedly, for me the test was done in order to give an advantage to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, it is not valid
I noticed this as well. Whether this was a deliberate attempt to improve the Iphone result I cannot say.
@@larrynicholson5913If the test was definitely a way with clear evidence that was carried out to make the iPhone 15 Pro Max win, those 15 minutes of rest that the iPhone was given are practically the difference in the percentage of remaining battery and I am sure that it would have worked out The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra would be the winner if it weren't for that apparent oversight in its test, which for me was neither an oversight nor a mistake, it was premeditated so that the iPhone would take a break and save valuable battery
there are even more facors. some bluetooth activated, some had cell network in the background (why not activating airplane mode on all) some had different brightness levels through the whole test. some had a game running in different areas (hope he had at least same graphics settings) but some prob capped out the fps on some like the s24 & ihpone running only at 75-80% utilization while others hit 100% capping out the soc performance (thats 1 way not to meassure). i would say a grey area for raw gaming runtime but why are all phones had a swimming scene in pubg while the oneplus had open area which is needs way more gpu power to render, a 3dmark stress test would be better to get at least the same runtime & scenes. 2 many inaccurate things happened here. sry he tried & failed very hard.
@@Fercho240990 i can tell you right now that 15 minutes of insta would have been the difference of maybe 1% so you can factor that in. that would not make up for 49 minutes of video recording which is literally easily 3x more battery draining. so even if you factored in that 6 minutes or gave the samsung an extra 1-3% it would have lost.

Like, just less than 10 days ago my friend got iPhone 15 pro max with 20% off from MSRP while the price of used iPhone 14 pro max drop to 50-60% of it's original MSRP.
The different of brand new and second hand one is too close so people just buy a new one as they also got cashback and installment plan from credit card.
For my iPhone 14, I listed for 50% of the MSRP but rarely got inquiry. One thing I notice is that most buyer will first asking for my battery health and when they find out that it's 91%, they will ask for more discount or just gone.

Why he need to do it, is that change the facts? That is the only 2024 gen phone all of the others are 1 gen older 2023 models.. yes even the iPhone 15 is just the S23U competitor, not the S24U.. if Samsung still has his balls and this phone release on his original name (Note 24), that had a dedicated release date, about 2 weeks before the iPhone.. so if this is still called to Note 24 and releasing with iPhone 16 about 8 months later, do you still say it's only the already one year old iPhone 15 competitor?
@TamasKiss-yk4st Yes he needs to do it again because it's not accurate. When these phones first come out especially Samsung it needs about a week or a week and a half to learn your battery usage and then the battery gets way better. At least that's what all my Samsung Galaxy phones have done. Most phones they send out to reviewers are demo phones or phones without all features.
Comparison is note fare because you didn't measured brightness with a metre. So that Samsung has 2700 nits. And apple 2k. Make sure it's equal then Samsung is gonna win easily.
