Wait... so the gearbox will be straight-cut? That‘ll compete with the engine/exhaust for _loudest thing about the car_! Not a bad thing, the M3 GTR for example sounds awesome!
your a genius rob! I hope to see this car in person when it's done. and that rx8 is beautiful, cant wait for mine to be finished I've had it off the road for 2 years 😥
Nice, Rob this is getting so exciting this is so 'Badass' already and it's not done yet, I am visioning the Car already....Wow ! I am excited for you Rob.
I really enjoy the project. I've been fabricating for over twenty years myself. I'm sure ppl tell you what you should be doing enough but I think there is a better way to fabricate your sub frame and save on labor cost and to have a lighter stronger and most importantly square true straight then what I saw being welded in this video
The sight of the Fusion 360 program that you’re using for the AWD RX-7 made me nostalgic, I haven’t used that programming since school (I used it for CNC machining)
The videos are nice, seeing these frequent updates. Hope the ad revenue is stacking up for you so you can finish this. Seems like youtube rewards consistency.
Intro 91 west by corona and yorba Linda still can’t believe the rob dahm lives so close to me in the IE, well his shop is in the IE I don’t know if he lives here
dont make the wheel to close to the absorber,we dont know if u make it to close it may touch the absorber.if u want to make the wheel look nice it better follow the body so it will not look weird.Cant wait to see this car running .Good job👍
You are an inspiration. Now I want to design something with a tube chassis. Maybe an Audi Ur Quattro, but not an Ur Quattro because I wouldn't cut it up. Maybe I'll design something for an Audi 80 coupe. Same car but a lot less rare. Also I really want to buy the 1983 Quattro that's been off the road since the year I was born that's for sale an hour or so from me. Gotta convince my dad because I don't have my G2 yet. Or I wait until November.
I'm in the camp of just take your time. It's already been years. Might as well make this car the best it can be instead of rushing for a show and your viewers . .js
Cannot wait for this monster to be done mate absolutely love this channel keep it up and thank God there is no click bait unlike tj hunts channel haha 🤣🤣
What's up Rob. On the front suspension/subframe/crossmember that connects your control arms, do you know why square tube steel wasn't used? I can't see what's going on inside there, but my assumption is that its just hollow. I'm curious to know why those were welded lengthwise because that would take so long. And I'm not a pro welder, but just for good measure with that much to weld, and only 1/8" thick, wouldn't you want to have them clamped down? Anyway, this build is super neat. I'm a big fan. Cheers Tab
I love that it’s round tube in the front. It looks beautiful. I can’t speak from experience on its effect va square. But we will find out together. All of Abel’s drag cars are round tube. And I feel it looks like more effort was put into the form and function. The rear subframe core is square but then everything else is tube again
Rob Dahm sorry, I was referring to the crossmember that was being welded at 4:15 in the video. It’s the rear subframe now that I rewatched it. I was just wondering why it was 4 plates welded into a square rather than using an extruded bar of square tube.
These last couple of vids have been the best ever
Little did that rx8 know, the rotary king was right behind him.
The quality of work that is been invested into the chassis is truly mindblowing
Liked the video before I even watched it, love these updates.
This is genuinely very interesting Rob.
Vehicle chassis/drivetrain design has always fascinated me.
I'm so proud of u daddy dahm ♥ 😘
Wait... so the gearbox will be straight-cut?
That‘ll compete with the engine/exhaust for _loudest thing about the car_!
Not a bad thing, the M3 GTR for example sounds awesome!
Hahaha i promise you straight cut wont be louder than the exhaust xD rotarys are fucking loaud
As an Aussie, proud to see you rocking a holinger gearbox!
Rob, I always love these early uploads, I watch them before my finance class
I aint going to lie your on another level with your knowledge on car compared to other youtubers ha👍
No way the guys from throttle are great. Bolt on scientists
This video with the elaborate detail has to be favorite video you've ever made. Enough for me to comment!
NO HOMO - but ROB, I love you. Thanks for trying to keep the rotary alive.... You deserve way more recognition ----
Hey Rob, really appreciate the work you're putting in to get these videos out. Thanks, and good luck with the build.
wonder if it's going to sound like the 787b that would be so dope
"So much torque... the chassis twisted coming off the line."
😁 Smh
Rob get that things done and bring it to Pine Peak .
Dont go for high time just go and have fun and safe .
The cars deserve a challenge .
your a genius rob! I hope to see this car in person when it's done. and that rx8 is beautiful, cant wait for mine to be finished I've had it off the road for 2 years 😥
Yes !!!! Getting Closer .
All the Time spend Waiting has been well worth it !!!
Damn I have never nerded out so much over wheel spacing and suspension components before
Ever since I saw this concept the first time around I’ve been hooked, I strive to be like you one day
Thanks for sharing the build updates. Hoping it comes together nicely. Cant wait to see it actually running and moving :)
Hey Rob. You're back to being my hero.
The intro is how I feel everyday when I drive my F150. Silly tow rig makes me look like a crazy when I wave at other car people.
Love these frequent uploads! Keep it up!
so two fish are swimming around a tank and one says to the other, "so how do you drive this thing?"
Nice, Rob this is getting so exciting this is so 'Badass' already and it's not done yet, I am visioning the Car already....Wow ! I am excited for you Rob.
Dahm this is one of the nicest builds ever !
Hey rob where's the 3 rotor!
ClutchkickPJ he’s renting it out to the black widows last I heard
Renting it out? Damn black widows are squaters! lol
Absolutely nailing it Rob. Legend

“If problems are gonna happen they’re gonna happen in the rear... but the way they’re doing it, it ain’t gonna happen” Famous last words
The sight of the Fusion 360 program that you’re using for the AWD RX-7 made me nostalgic, I haven’t used that programming since school (I used it for CNC machining)
Love waking up with dahm
Keeping the critics happy with all these 4 rotor videos keep it up... Can't wait for the next one...
The videos are nice, seeing these frequent updates. Hope the ad revenue is stacking up for you so you can finish this. Seems like youtube rewards consistency.
I'm proud and happy for you Rob! Awesome !
Loving these latest uploads! Can't wait to see the 4 rotor on the road!
Ahh so sick! I can't wait to see it rolling.
Im loving the constant uploads, makes me more interested in your channel.
Props for using Fusion 360! More people should be using that software
Super nice build...good shop always working on ur car. Hard to find good help.
Nothing but bangers lately Rob
Another great video! I'm hoping to hear more about the transmission. Tease!
hard work pays off
Loving seeing the 4 rotor content
This is still so inspiring and it's payinnnnng offffff!
Love it Rob! This is way cooler then Monster Garage (early 2000s name drop)
When this has a golfball gun I'll be impressed
Intro 91 west by corona and yorba Linda still can’t believe the rob dahm lives so close to me in the IE, well his shop is in the IE I don’t know if he lives here
Same. I drive the 91 every day, it's trippy to see it in the mainstream
love these recent videos
Dahm you are almost at 500,000 Subscribers!!
Damn Dahm, i wish these videos lasted longer ! Keep up with these awesome uploads !
I shouldn’t be but I’m surprised to see the amount of progress going into the 4wd rotor
Everyday until it’s done. No turning back. Been waiting for this for a long time.
Where's the 4Rotor Rob. 😍 There it is!
Cant wait for this project to drive, keep it up dude 👍👍👍
Loving the content flow recently. Keep it up Rob :)
You are a genius man
Mr.Wob! When can we get our hands on some more of those red Dahm t-shirts?!
I wish you commited to an RX8 build. Would be cool to see a properly built renesis by you or abel, hell an REW RX8 build would be cool too.

2000hp!?!??! That more Hp than the Chiron!!!!
Are you planning on painting or powder coating the tube frame?
How are you dealing with different wheel sizes front and back with AWD? Are they still the same diameter?
you are a legend
Cannot wait for this monster to be done mate absolutely love this channel keep it up and thank God there is no click bait unlike tj hunts channel haha 🤣🤣
Looks just like an R/C touring car suspension.
Dammit Rob, im trying to sleep and you upload a video at 10:30pm!
Keep these videos coming😫😫😫❤️
Dreams do come true
Awesome to see you progressing rob! Keeping the internet happy 😂😂
These videos are the shit, please keep them coming! #team4rotor
so is this basically a pro 4 racing truck build like those lucas oil series? it is sick
Better content. Better videos. Papa Dahm’s.
Really nerdy really cool
I think that spline thing he was talking about is kinda like those ball end Allen wrenches. I could be completely wrong.
I totally thought you were from the Midwest. I'll recognize the 91 in any video. 91 between Green River and CA241.
I’m Midwest but the car is being built in LA
hopefully you push more than 1600 hp
ooooh
i am getting goosebumps just thinking about it
2020 SEMA bound?
Every weld I see, and machined piece... I just see money signs.
Curious for a total so far...
Rob are you guys going to Powder Coat is when you're done?
The people who dislike are angry ls swapping rx7 drivers
You should’ve talked to that RX8 owner. He’ll probably see this on UA-cam
Up and at it early lol. Great work on the 4 rotor
Does anyone know what website he was using for the wheel fitment
DA MAK DADDIOUS not the same site but willtheyfit.com is similar
Fitting background music
Straight 👏 cut 👏 gears 👏
love you rob dahm
Good content on for the 4rotor but bro what type of camera are u using that thing is amazing
Gh5 I love it too
What kind of diffs are you using for this
Black hole money pit. Congrats!
How much power does the 3 rotor make?
Rob, can you publish the Cad files for the 4 rotor? Since you’re not finishing it....

Your RX-7s need to go to Hoonigan for a build breakdown
Mhmm Tig pulse feature being used @ 4:12 talk about heat control
I love u rob
Can't wait to see the end product of this!
I'll be eating Doritos as I wait.
Hey Rob what would you do to that guy with the rx8 if he said he had ls swap it?
