🐶🐶 WOOF WOOF! Some of you are gonna hate this one... Last one before I'm 29, hoping this breaks the bad performance curse on the channel. But I wanted to love Robert Kirkman's Outcast... But did it pan out to be his biggest disappointment? 🤔 Don't miss my full review! 🤯

Not sure what the next video is, need to go back to the drawing board, but until then, stay Mad, Doggs! WOOF WOOF! 🐶

I honestly loved this series. Read it all in one afternoon. The scale was just a lot smaller so the usual Kirk-isms weren’t really options for this series

I just finished Outcast and felt totally let down. The first half of the run is very good. Just like you said. Then, it's a slow downward drift all the way to the completely predictable ending. I'm a huge Kirkman fan. He said in the notes that he sold the TV show before he even wrote a single page. Maybe that's why it's lacking in comic form. IDK, but the Kirkman magic is missing during the entire second half of the run. Anyway, great review!

I really enjoyed this one! Not as much as Walking Dead, but I still thought it was really solid throughout. I liked not really knowing about what was actually going on for the most part, it left it all open to interpretation. I enjoyed the ending as well!

If you're an artist, then you know Paul's style is beast! Deceivingly simple. He's a blend between Alex Toth and abit of JP Leon.

Great review. Best way to pick it up. The compendium or the hardcovers?

I have the Complete Compendium. I keep it in the crapper. It's been months now, and I'm fine just reading a couple pages at a time. I'm more than half way through it, but I don't care if I ever read finish it

i feel like the outcast was written just to pitch a tv show. because both the comic and the show have the same problem, they started great with good scares, unique premise, interesting characters, and cool ideas but then they just went no where for so long, with so much wasted time. I really liked this 'reluctant winchester' vibe the show had, and I hope someone else does something similar, but does something far better with it.

I love Kirkman's work overall but I also didn't care for outcast either. But oblivion song is really good.

Great review. I enjoy hearing all opinions. I enjoyed Outcast as a light read. Not light in tone but light in the sense that it was entertaining. Far from a masterpiece but enjoyable. I give it a 60%. Meow Meow. ;)
Edit: Oh, and I do agree that it could have been so much more.

I get the feeling they really didn’t know how they were going to end it. Some of it is okay, but all the characters talk with the same voice, and some of the art is shonky af. Oh, and let’s make three of the main characters have dark hair and a beard🙈

I really liked this series - I think it took some mis-steps and couldve been alot more, but i think its still a pretty well rounded story.
After reading invincible I do think that it is the weaker of the two, admittedly I havent read Oblivion Song or TWD yet - still debating which format to collect TWD in.

The hardcovers are really nice. Currently have a mismatched collection of trades hardcovers and a compendium. The harcovers are the nicest out of the three. Reasonable price and includes sketches and covers in the back. I might even upgrade and get the rest in that format.🤔

@@stephentheshywarrior2759 which hardcovers are we talking about here?
I know there's a library style set that seems really nice, those the ones you mean?

Can’t say I’ve ever been interested in this one I will give Kirkman he tried to make a smaller scale series but sounds like he half baked it
I remember seeing there was a show for this? I think it got cancelled
