Tracing My Aunt Anna

In the summer of 1948, just as apartheid was introduced in South Africa, my aunt Anna left Norway on a ship bound for what was to be her life challenge: to preach Christianity to the Zulu people. She worked for nearly 30 years as a missionary, nurse, and a midwife until she retired. In September 2023, nearly 50 years later, I travelled to KwaZuluNatal to look for traces of the work of the Norwegian missionaries. Here is my story.
