the bodacious blade has a lot more belly and thinner blade stock vs. shaman. Also thinner scales. Once you hold one in your hand and cut with it you realize it’s definitely different than the shaman
Spyderco was my favorite company for folders. Had the Tenacious, PM2, Shaman, Spydiechef, and I've been edc'ing the Native 5. Their prices are stupid now, and they don't listen to their customers. Fack em.
really liking the look of the bodacious but I really don't need another knive right now. Once it gets released with some other handle and steel options tho idk if I'll be able to resist
I’m torn because base model materials is hard to justify, how ever put some aftermarket scales on it or wait for a alt steel version and this thing can be made into an absolute classic
Spyderco is Dirty , for the most part they've switched steel to S45VN But when they come out with a Brand New Knife they put S30V on it , they did the Same thing with the Military 2 , I was on Pre-Order for like 6 months and I was Pissed when I found out it had S30V on it 🤬 and then 2 months later you can buy a Military 2 in your choice of like 5 different steels .... New Knife should have a New Steel .... I was looking forward to this Blade but Spyderco has Lost their Freakin Minds , I Love the Blade but $260.00 for Those Materials is Nuts , I can Still But a Cold Steel Recon 1 and about 6 other blades with S35VN for Under $90.00 , that's Freakin Crazy , I know , I know , their not the same and their Not made in America but they are made in Taiwan and Taiwan makes some Dam Good Shit especially when it's $170.00 cheaper , I can buy almost 3 blades in S35VN for the price of that .... Just Sayin ....🤷♂️
Cool but yea no, Yellow!? No thanks man 😂 i am very very EXTREMELY picky. Bodacious i won’t get only cause it just looks weird. if it were rounded instead of being flat would like it more. Edit: lemme rephrase, rounded not in the ergos, but where a hilt would be. It looks like they took the Shaman, and made adjustments here and there. Still awesome seeing Spyderco making new knives, and bringing back old favorites as production models. Now if they would release Shaman CruCarta.
@@ninemimesleft i agree that the bodacious is overpriced, probably should be 190 range. I bought one because it seems to correct the things i dislike in a shaman. I confess that the compression lock is my favorite also. Everyone has different likes and dislikes, i didn't care for my Mannix because of the locking system.
At this point the only Spiderco I would invest in would be the Military 2 and I would have to save up for it!
$260+ is bonkers for s30v & g10 😅. Spyderco isn't as good value as they used to be.
They will have them in other steels around the same price, USA made and great heat treat and they still kick the crap outta benchmade.
INFLATION… still better prices than Benchmade
Get used to it. Just gonna get worse.
good video, box cutter people always gripe about prices, knife addicts buy the USA made Spyderco Bodacious
Anybody else feel like they fired the finishing guy for the Shamans and just said "fuck it. Call it something different and they'll still buy it"

I'm saving up for one.
Great video man, I'm absolutely chopping at the bit for a Bodacious.
It’s “chomping”’or “champing at the bit” dummy.

They do that all the time. Its simply how the game is played or why would you want to buy a 2nd knife?
Got one for $196. It’s solid. Perfect for edc for me.

I can't understand why this thing is so expensive.
Because people will pay it
@@markharmon6942 Not this person. I'll stick with my manix.
