Hey! Now counseling is over I am a SM student here , since I was not getting anything good or cse in VIT bhopal , is the placement in branch so worst (someone said) that more than 50% students not getting placed? Or is there any CPI criteria with which one can sit in IT companies for placement? Even private college gives a bit placement

@@Enthusiast-sk1yp Well yes the placements for SM branch are bad compared to the other branches. However if you have a good cpi you can sit for placements, it needn't be the placements meant for SM students, you can sit for the placements meant for other branches too.
Its because SM is a new branch compared to the other branches. However, with time the placements for SM too shall improve.
Didi how are the placements going this year in IIITDM JABALPUR , and even what is the highest package till now this year ? Even when did the technical fest last held ?
Moreover how is the Robotics club in college going on ?
Technical clubs conduct events every year.
Robotics club is doing great. We had an events Roborush in which students had to create robots and cash awards and certificates were given.

As the college announced that they won't arrange any accommodations for those who are coming for physical reporting... So can you suggest any hotels which are closer to the college.
@@Ancy-k6u Well, for my reporting i stayed at the visitors hostel. I haven't stayed outside campus so dunno any. You may check the ratings of nearby hotels thru Agoda or any other app. There aren't many hotels in a nearby distance to the institute.

Physical reporting kb h ???
hi sis I have just a few doubts:
1. Since the campus is very huge, can we use bicycles?
2. Do we need to bring pillows and bedsheets or they are provided in the college itself?
3. Suggest few things to be brought at the time of reporting. Also as they are saying that we need to report in the college by 14th itself , but just after that day we have independence day so do you have any idea about the things which may happen in this span of time?
4. Hey sis since it is been shown that the placements of mechanical and smart manufacturing branches are a bit low compared to other branches, can you give the student's snap/mail of those students who are now pursuing mechanical there so that we can get a idea about the current scenario.

2. The institute dosent provide mattress. You need to get everything from pillow, mattress to bedsheet on ur own.
3. The things to brought to campus, I have done a video on hostel supplies. Kindly refer that video. Reporting date is 16th. Kindly check the website for updates regulary. Aug 15th programs will be happenning at the institute. You can be a part of those.
4. You can connect with seniors from your branch on linkedin and ask them your doubts.

@@HiteshKumarofficial01 SM placemwnts are low compared to other branches. For clear cut statistics kindly visit the website as I don't have much idea about SM branch.

And I'll probably get ece so for reference what should be my gpa so i can get upgraded to cse and also please tell what's 'cpi' I've seen you mentioning in some of the comment below.

For branch change cpi should be above 9. CPI stands for Cumulative Performance Index. Its a measure of a students overall performance in all the subjects according to the credits in each course. It is what you get at the end of each semester and it includes the grades obtained during the calculation.

@@TECHN0HACKER Yes you need to buy 1 for yourself. The institute does not provide the mattress.

1. How's the ECE department , is there provision of taking CS related minors?
2. Is collaboration with Japanese universities still in place? do students still go for industry visit/internships to Japan , if yes then how are they selected?
3. Your thoughts on why has the college been falling in NIRF rankings for the past few years.....
Bro what is your rank?
1. The ECE department is really good. I asked few of my seniors and they said it's worth joining. The faculty and the courses are great and yes, while selecting options they were offered minor subjects by the CSE discipline.
I'm not from ECE so I've answered based on what my seniors and friends from the ECE department told me.
2. Yes, it's still there( in 2023 it was there) but I'm not sure if they'll continue it or not as we'll get to know that only once the next semester begins. Students from our institute go to Japan and from Japan students visit our institute. This happened last year. This year's is yet to come. The selection is based on the CPI you receive at the end of the semester. You need a CPI above 9. On the day of your physical reporting you'll be provided with a sheet having all the details and in that about this collaboration it's written. You can find in it or just visit the website to get further details as I don't clearly remember.
3. While NIRF rankings are one measure, they don't always capture the full picture of an institute's strength. IIIT Jabalpur provides a supportive academic environment, robust research opportunities and strong industry ties that collectively enhance the learning experience making it a valuable institution beyond its ranking.

Yes, jain food is available. Yes ECE is worth in our institute. The courses and faculty are really good.

@@Svayamshah Above 90% placement but it's not ECE core. I'm not quite sure bout the avg package for ECE branch as I'm from CSE but I think it's somewhat around 22 LPA when i joined.

Yes if you have really good cgpa you can change to CSE. Branch change is possible.

We have a cricket pitch, basketball court, volleyball court, table tennis area, tennis court, kabaddi field, athletics ground, with the badminton court and gym located inside the Student Activity Center (SAC).
