    This would be perfect for a Dark Souls character. Imagine running into some sage who unloads all this info on you, then says "Now do want to buy some spells and swords or are you just gonna run home and suckle on that teet?"

    This is exactly what I've been doing for a while now. This just clarifies exactly how to target and identify what it is that I'm trying to rid of the distortions and lies that have been taught to me as a child. Also when you speak of Nihilism you speak of what is partial of true pure awareness since the Western philosophy is dual and the eastern is nondual. While it is important to surgically expound it to the ego in the language it is familiar with I find it far more beneficial to explain the unknown that is beyond just the comfortable truth understood by the ego. It would be wise to talk more on the eastern mind which is nondual than solely the way that the Western mind perceives reality when seeking "enlightenment" other wise known as pure awareness or pure potential in this case. Merely being is all we need to know but to clear the mist or illusion we must first understand through the means of which is soft to the ears. There are "stages" to shifts in form from the truth, from what we see in front of us, to what is within us, to what we realize truly is since all there is is what there is and nothing more. Everything is nothing and nothing is everything. We aren't the mind nor the body but the ultimate reality sensing through the human experience.

    The seed analogy in this video really resonated with me. Right now i'm trying to figure out how to destroy the seed or might i say tree which has instilled into me the fear of the unknown, it was exactly as you said, it has gone unnoticed for so long and now i need to destroy it.

    The problem with psychedelics is that it is actually a crutch to experience samadhi and inflates the ego rather than kills it

    • @Tarnishd
      @Tarnishd 4 роки тому +2

      In so far that the use of psychs would rather turns into something more akin to 'abuse' or hedonistic, recreational use, then absolutely. However, it greatly depends on a person's type of use (e.g. frequecy / dose / esp. purpose of use). What I mean to say is that in the end they're really just tools.. Tools that can be used for other reasons than just to experience samadhi.

    • @nathanieldamarelos
      @nathanieldamarelos 4 роки тому +1

      Tarnishd quite true but the point I am trying to make is that you can only use a tool to fix something for so long before you end up stripping the bolts all together. In other words, yes they’re fantastic for seeing problems the user has but they don’t resolve any issue. They just kinda set them aside for a while hence being able to experience samadhi, but after the experience has left the users issues all come rushing back. They allow you to see the root of the issue but they don’t resolve it. But since The user has seen the root of the issue from that vantage point they can then go and actually make the effort to resolve it for themselves after the psychedelic experience. But eventually one has to be able to figure out their problems without any external things. If one uses psychs like this for so long then they lose the ability to solve their problems all on their own because they’ve relied on psychs for too long to show them the root of the issue. Hence why I said that you can only use a tool for so long before it starts to strip the bolts.

      Oh absolutely exploring different states of mind is terrible thing to inflate the ego with... it absolutely depends on set, setting, intention, and the person. If you come back from your trip thinking you know something then you missed the point.

      Stand still and just be. Exist inside yourself without form, thoughts or concepts. Eventually your true mental condition will be exposed. And when that happens, stand still.

      Developing mental endurance to maintain the lucidity of a clear calm mind, a process that entails disciplining the mind to resist being seduced into a delusion; that is, breaking the mind’s compulsive addiction to indulging itself in intellectual masturbation. In other words, letting go of your desperate clinging attachment to beliefs and values.

    One bad seed is the propaganda that addiction is binary.
    It's probably not hyperbole to phrase; life = addiction.
    Addictions come in a minimum of 3 flavors; beneficial, benign and malignant.
    Variants to this usually come in the form of questioning beneficial/benign/malignant to whom/what?
    The first addiction of anything alive is, to continuity.
    if there were no disagreements as to whom/what has a priority of continuity, there would be no dissent.
    The second addiction of anything alive is, to dissent.
    Those who promote the ideas of ghosts, want to believe that dissent has post mortem continuity.
    Since language became sophisticated enough to convey oral histories/tall tales, and the cultures built upon them, post mortem continuity of dissent, has gained a contextual niche in reality.
    Those who promote the ideas of post mortem continuity, might also want to believe in a post mortem continuity, with an absence of all dissent.
    But those who buy into the heaven (and hell) constructs, have construed death's absence of dissent, with eternal peace for the individual.
    Or eternal strife, as the case of an imagined post mortem cognitive state may be described.
    The point is, that reaching stages of maturity can be described as surviving a seemingly endless string of addictions, and determining
    which addictions are beneficial and to be nurtured,
    which addictions are benign and to be ignored,
    and which addictions are malignant and to be avoided.
    My interpretation of what Sage has said here, is that the failure rate of these maturation processes is extremely high.
    People may get older, but their physical maturity is not being reflected by their cognitive states.
    And that the Darwin Awards have not been passed out, with even a fractional approximation in regards to how well they're deserved.
    IMO, anthropogenic global climate system change and the 6th global extinction coming along with it, will probably whiplash the score, far beyond what we might think of as "fair".
    If only there were a Spartan solution, hmm. But that's another egg to crack.

    "Techniques, tasks, -isms, concepts etc". That's alot of "something". I do listen to your videos but always end up feeling like I just listened to Deepak or somebody. I mean, at least UG Krishnamurti didn't do shit. He didn't HELP. Aren't you helping? (In reference to your helping video)

    • @MetaSage
      @MetaSage  4 роки тому

      "Help" is junk when it isn't being used to facilitate the truth, and is, instead, being used for other questionable purposes. "Help" is only useful when it is employed as guidance towards the truth, and that's the aim of this channel.
      Not sure what you are expecting to find when un-covering the truth. I can't tell you that freeing your mind will mean that you don't have to concern yourself with "things" anymore, or that you will be absolved from having to take any more actions.
      What are you expecting to find?

    • @christopherjordan9707
      @christopherjordan9707 4 роки тому

      @@MetaSage I'm not expecting much. The more reality I come upon, the less hope and more suffering I find. So be it. But videos like these, seem to fill me with the thought that I should be doing more...more concepts, techniques etc. It adds to my mind, gives me more things that I should do to find this realization or enlightenment. I'm not sure I believe in enlightenment (or whatever) at all. I do like my mind to be rattled and paradigms shifted, which is why I listen to you...i like anything that may "negate" myself. But some of your videos seem to prompt me to more mental action, which leaves me anxious, and edifies my petty mind. But I DO watch your videos so I'm not being completely dismissive.

    • @MetaSage
      @MetaSage  4 роки тому +6

      Yes, you are being prompted to fulfill a mental task; but it's a mental task of letting go of your attachments to ideology. The "letting go", facilitates relaxation via the release of a previous burden. Then it can be seen that, all along, the real mental strain was in constantly holding on to our attachments to abstractions so tightly. Letting go is easy, despite seeming so counter intuitive to our conditioning, while holding on is difficult, despite seeming to come so naturally to our being. So the task is an emptying process, not an exercise of adding anything additional. I am asking you to empty out your mind, and leave it empty; and not give in to the desperate tendency to seek to fill that emptiness with a substitution.
