Spearfishing NY: sheepshead, fluke, dolphins. Summer's bad visibility

The dolphins were so close I could hear the sound of their breathing.
A pod was swimming against the incoming tide.
I never got so close to a dolphin while in the ocean. I tried to get closer, I only had teh GoPro, with the ultra wide angle lens that makes everything look far away.
The current was pushing me away from the tip. The long jetty creates a bottleneck for the tides, which makes the current at that tip very strong when the incoming and outgoing tide are ripping.
A couple of dolphins seemed to be hovering in one spot where the current was strongest, swimming but still in one place.
The last 3 times I went spearfishing in the past couple of weeks I got fish only once.
The water is much warmer than in July and August. Now 25/25 C / 78F.
The visibility is close to none. All the storms from the south, the heavy downpours, the warm temperatures that make the algae bloom.
It is not great for spearfishing nor for filming/taking pictures underwater.
I went at the bottom of a huge pile of rocks and sneaked slowly on the way up. Stopping to see if any fish swims by. If not i move up a little.
I saw the black and white stripes and the tall dorsal spines clearly. A sheepshead, I took an easy shot. Usually they are spooked easily and dart fast. They seem less aware for what comes from below.
The fish always looks smaller than i think in the water. The same day I got a fluke (summer flounder). I thought it might have been around 22in/55cm or so. But it was 75cm / 30 inches. Really a large size. Heavy too. But i did not have a scale.
The sheepshead swam around my floaatline. I had to untangle. That is why I do not use a reel on my speargun. Too much thin line, too many tangles. Keep it simple. Monofilament on the speargun, and clip it to my floatline.
