- We drove passed this house recently and noticed how overgrown it was so we thought we would clean it up. Now we are out in the country so sometimes it’s hard to get a neighbor to give us the story but we looked all around and could not find a single person home. So we decided we would just go ahead and do it anyway. Now we were about half way through the yard when to our surprise the owners of the property pull up in the driveway to see what’s going on. It’s always a little scary because you never know how they are going to react so make sure you stay tuned for that part of the video. Will they let us finish the yard? We will see.

I don't know if it's because I live in another country, with another culture, but I find the cold reaction of some owners strange when the property is clean, beautiful and habitable. If it were here, a meal would be served and the thanks would be endless. Nice work you do! Hugs from Brazil.

Be cautious going on properties without permission. It is trespassing. People are not the same any longer. They have QUICK temper issues. Just recently a 79 year old man shot and killed his 59 year old neighbor in the head over the man using a leaf blower in his own yard and didn’t like the noise. People are CRAZY these days.
Yes, maybe leave a note on the door with a contact and wait while searching other communities. It’s not worth being shot with your kiddos there. 😢 Don’t ever stop doing things for others but so be cautious of evil running rampant

The owners lived next door, they came home and seen them mowing ! Kinda hard to judge someone when you don't know them, Maybe they both have medicinal reasons that they can't do a lot of outside work. Try being kind when you comment , they could read the comments !

Aside from the hole in the foundation in the back (the missing bricks), this looks like a great house. Seems like the owners are in a mobile home so there may be bigger issues inside. Hope that they can make it liveable again. Beautiful transformation! Praying no one got poison ivy.

I’m starting to wonder if their comments are being edited out (not on purpose) but it just makes me wonder how these people can just be so blasé .. they’re like, “okay thanks great, bye” is annoying. They act as if he just pulled two weeds and that’s all. The very LEAST they can say is “thank you so much, I would have never got it done if it weren’t for you, I appreciate it so much”

I think sometimes the people are embarrassed, so their reaction is not what you expect.
@@HappyLife-wv5ms right, or a guilty reaction because they know they have plenty of money in the bank to have had the work done themselves but just didn’t want to spend it and are worried that someone was going to eat them out.. 😂. I know, I can’t help but think these things when these people are so under appreciative! Ugh it kills me. It just makes it so much more satisfying when people are appreciative and/or seem to really need the help for whatever reason.. that I’d wish they would say or let us in on the reason it’s such a mess. I would be embarrassed but I would be telling all my excuses of why it’s such a mess.

The other house may have been willed to them and may not be livable (the reason it’s abandoned). It probably needs all new plumbing, wiring, and just about everything else. The mobile home is probably less expensive to maintain and live in.

Probably a family member that went into nursing home and they supposed to be taking care of and are not concerned just waiting till it is actually there's ain't no body checking up nice house and newer model car. There's a story about this one letting nice place and vehicle go to crap and live in ratty trailer that they ain't concerned with either .
Blessings given are a greater blessing to the givers than receiving the blessing is to the receiver. I’ve seen it time and time again. You Blessing Boys are amazing! This property is a winner! GREAT GOOD JOB! Your teamwork is second to none! 👍👍. ❤️

You are saving the house from such severe damage that only takes a few years of neglect to destroy the structure beyond repair. It is so sad that so many properties are left empty...that looks as though it was a lovely home to someone in the not too distant past. Looks like it isn’t in too bad shape (although hard to really tell). Sad it isn’t improved a little and sold to someone looking for a fixer upper. Sad to see just left to ruin when folks need homes.
You guys are playing with fire doing jobs like this, at some stage you may be sued and a less than understanding judge will rule against you, I hope you have insurance though I'd bet they'd bail on you in such a case...
By all means, ask for permission from deserving clients in need.... but don't risk a lawsuit... 😕

I hope You didn't break out with poison ivy. My son is so allergic to it. He can go into the hospital. I've told him to take his clothes off when he gets in the house. Put him in the washer. Then tell him to go take a shower. And use Done. soap. Start at the head and work your way down. Don't use hot water. Just warm water. When he's done with his Showe I will wash his clothes by themselves. With dawn soap. It's a terrible allergy. Almost killed him twice. Be careful.

Excellent video. I live near an old military housing base that has been abandoned for over 40 plus years. The military had the families leave the base (neighborhood) exactly as it was left. The neighborhood had all sizes of houses and culdesac areas, along with a basketball goal, tennis court, swimming pool, etc) and the whole areas was neat and trimmed as you can imagine. Going there now you would be amazed on how much the foliage has taken over the area, with some areas so thick you can hardly make out the houses being swallowed up by them. The streets are almost swallowed up now and it truly is a testament to time. You and your sons(s) are doing great work.
I hope the owners know that they have windows open. Also I hope they see the potential moisture issues.

I'm highly allergic to poison ivy. I still do my yard to keep it looking good. I've learned to take a shower with "Dawn" with a wash cloth to scrub off all the poison ivy's oil. I haven't had poison ivy in over 35 years and I'm 65! I saw you dealing with all that poison ivy on the porch. You did a fantastic job!!!

Ugh it kills me not knowing the excuse. Obviously, he just respects their privacy and doesn’t want to pry. I get it that’s how he is of course.. but it kills me when there’s no explanation and to top it off the owners don’t even seem appreciative. I just kinda wish they had to at least give a few answers in order to get all that work done for free. But the worst is the people w/ not only no explanation or excuse but to seem totally ungrateful. “Okay.. we’re all finished”, “okay thank you, bye” 🤯… I just always think many of these people have the money in their bank to pay for this work to be done but just don’t want to spend it. That’s what bothers me. But I know the work is more for the neighbors and neighborhood most the time, so that’s the good part. Lol it still kills me though.

Not only do you need to carry bug spray, a snake bit kit, bandages, add now some Alcohol to clean you tools after handling that Poison ivy😊

Amazing, so strange to me people let so much go/engorged for so long. That overgrowth did not happen overnight. Hope owners have caught their breath and keep up w/things themselves or hire help, even if a few times to once a month during the growing seasons. 👍 Great Job Boys!!!

I like the planting bed made with plowing discs, a creative thought. Nice team mowing. Raising the tree gave a nice view of the home. Sweetgum saplings sure seem to be able to get prolific. The porch was a poor place to get a poison ivy infestation. This is a really good Restoration you and the boys did. It was saved from foundation damage, the loss of its form and regaining being an asset to the area. Thank you. I'm glad it was a clean yard and fairly doable to work on.

Behind all that overgrowth, you can't tell if it's a luxurious home or a farm house. Have you ever thought to get a small chipper/shredder for disposal of the tree and bush trimmings?
