Because as Men of a Certain Age, its easy for us to lose touch with friends and community. Fortunately, returning to gaming has helped garner some community and shared interests/passions over the last several years.
All good stuff Paul. Good advice about taking breaks. It's needed. In the past I would always push myself when I was sick or exhausted. The other Evil GM Trick: Torches are on a real time. If you want to burn up some of that torch time, you distract the the talkative player in the group with a sidetrack topic. With Joe in the group, it's too easy.
