Did you EVER have to teach a child to be selfish, or did the child know how to be selfish NATURALLY? Did you EVER have to teach a child to misbehave or did the child know how to misbehave NATURALLY? Evil is who we all are NATURALLY, and why we need to be born again with the spirit of Christ. Once we are born again, we have a new nature and we are a new creation, and now the bible says now we need to start RENEWING our minds to be influenced by Christ. We have spent many years with our minds being influenced by the devil, and we proved that just by looking at how children act naturally. This could not happen unless Jesus came to earth as a man. When God told Adam and Eve to take dominion over the earth, and subdue it and be fruitful and multiply, God gave ALL AUTHORITY over the earth to man, but man gave it to satan in the garden when they disobeyed God and sinned. God could not go back on His Word and just take authority back over the earth, so He had to send Jesus to earth as a man, and as a man, Jesus now had AUTHORITY to take back what the devil had stolen, and to become the PERECT sacrifice for sin, once and for all. That means ALL sin is now forgiven, past, present and future sin and sins you have not even committed yet, are all forgiven. God also could not just send Jesus to earth, since God works with spoken words. When God creates, He speaks, and the bible says....God SAID, let there be light, and there was light. Everything created has to be spoken, and this is where prophets come in. They had to SPEAK of things to come, meaning Jesus. Since no one prophet could possibly speak the entire message, it took over 4,000 years before everything was spoken for Jesus to come. Then Mary, she had to SPEAK and be in agreement to receive the Spirit of God and conceive Jesus. God has to work through people here on earth, and what we speak. This is why the bible says the power of death and life is in our tongue. What we speak, is generally how our lives tend to go. All anyone has to do, is RECEIVE this free gift, it's a full pardon. People do not go to hell for sinning, they go because they have not received Christ as their pardon. Your sins are forgiven, now just receive the pardon. Our country was founded by God fearing men, and they did the same thing with pardons. They figured that if God cannot force you to receive a pardon, then neither can the President. The President can NOT force you to receive a pardon. You have to accept or receive the pardon and if you refuse the pardon, then the sentence MUST be carried out. God is the same way, He is offering you a pardon, and you must receive it, but you have free will to reject it, but then your sins STILL have to be paid for, and now YOU have to pay for YOUR SINS, and God being a just God says, the sentence MUST be carried out, and YOU send yourself to hell. This is why you hear them say that the prisoner RECEIVED a pardon, just like we RECEIVE a pardon and salvation for what Jesus did. It's all done and paid for, and we are all forgiven already, now receive it, and we get a new born again spirit. You cannot earn a pardon from the President, and you can NOT earn a pardon from God. Jesus came to give us a new spirit, and with a new spirit comes a new nature, and FULL pardon for ALL sins. This is what is meant by...You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free. God said, My people perish, for lack of KNOWLEDGE...He did NOT say we perish because of sin. God is not mad at us, He is not even in a bad mood with us. He loves us MORE than we'll ever know, this side of Heaven.
Why reference the original song (the trashy one) with the 1st verse? The part about the 4th the 5th? When I perform this I'll skip that and start with the second verse. I prefer the Thanksgiving version.
