I finally get it. The bean score has nothing to do with 0-60 or 0-100. The only thing it depends on is how much the car tickles Sarah’s bean generator.

All this 'upgrade' BS. But has Ford upgraded the motor so it doesn't blow the head gasket, warp the head, etc. after 2 -3K miles ???
@@skeelo69 - move to europe for focus, likely lose gun rights, many cooler cars than a focus, and likely be further along the route of "progress" than the US.

Owner of a 2017 here (Nitrous Blue & RS2) that is bone stock and I could not agree more, excellent daily driver that is practical and all around awesome! And I came from a moderately modded 2008 GT500 (547 RWHP). Sure, power certainly is not the same but toss the RS in some twisties and the smile grows as the memories of a rick-shaw suspension fade!!!
I have a 2015 ST and love it. I get excited seeing a RS, more so then seeing Lamborghinis and Ferraris.

You had fun in that one Sarah. I can tell. Just wasn’t quite aggressive enough to rate a higher bean score. It needs more than a Cobb stage 2 to meet your requirements. A bit more modifying and it would set you aglow! Glad to see the little one back in the vids! Give it hell while you can! Hopefully, you can soup up Mr. Dos and make him gitty up later! Ya, ya!👍🏻💖
I tried both (actually had an ST for a few months - Ford demo) and it is not as comfortable as the RS. I feel the RS is a more complete car and better than the VW Golf R. It was cheaper at the time and came with 4 additional winter tires and wheels... As usual good fun review !
I’ve got a 2011 Focus Zetec, and a 2003 Zetec I’d love a RS, maybe one day, but I love both of mine.

Hilarious. I have a stock ‘17 RS with the RS2 pkg and agree with pretty much all your observations--also nice to see a new RS video. There was a ton in ‘16 when it came out but not much since.

As funny as always. Like your kind of reviews so much. The Focus RS is a great car and to my mind really fast. It’s not clear by now if there will be a new RS in Europe. By the moment there is only the 2019 ST with the 2.3 Ecoboost and 280 hp.
Because of environmental laws its harder to get that much power, also because of otto partical filter in direct injection cars. That brought the Mustang Ecoboost down from 317 hp in 2016 to 280 now.
I bought a 2017 just so I could own one and experience it, definitely a fun car and more fun than my previous STI’s
Do you love it though? I'm seeing a lot of low mileage examples for sale which is great as a buyer, but makes me wonder if people love it day to day

Correct if I’m wrong Nitrous Blue has a gold flaking in the paint work, so it would be metallic versus Grabber blue which doesn’t have any metallic/pearl in it. I really dig the Focus RS I just wish Ford would continue it for a little longer 🙃
These cars launch so hard....we have had the at the ProSolo events for autox and they crush everything with that 4wd launch

Well that’s the first time I’ve ever had a commercial in a Sarah video?
The stiff ride does wear on you when on a multiple hour road trip. I swapped out the stock suspension for ST coilovers. Love em. And yeah, I think the RS is special.
The early RS had stiff suspension. That was changed with the mid-17 model. Much more comfortable afterwards. I own an '18 and installed a DSC suspension and module. It wasn't better than stock as a daily so sold the suspension and reinstalled the stock suspension. It's not the best of the best, but there are still lots of smiles per mile and I never tire of driving it.
I have a 2016 RS and drove regularly from Phoenix to the bay area 11 hour drive. And I got out feeling like I could drive another 11 hours, so I respectfully disagree. The Recaro's make all the difference.
Yet another one of those cool cars I have driven, but not really driven, at the same time: we had one in for PPF-installment and I drove it out of the garage...
I like Fords especially the RS. I'm surprised you didn't give it 5 beans when you gave it the beans.😄

2000 looked at 2 cars toyota echo and ford focus. 2800 dollars more for the ford. No brainer took the toyota quality for 13k delivered price. now with 170k still going strong. best car I have ever owned. focus the most recalled car in history. I think this focus is the one made in germany and a real car. nice review.

I agree Sarah, ford was very stupid to get rid of the focus and fiesta. I had a 2010 focus se that I bought new. I loved that car, 2 door 5 speed in ebony black. It was fast, fun to drive, handled great, and comfortable. Also got almost 30mpg around town. I miss it...

I enjoy having stiff suspension of my vehicle. I feel safe out there, especially in Southern California there’s so many stop and go. And dodge traffic.

Liked this car series from the first time seeing. When looking at the spec.’s for the early edition, thought RS was documented at 300HP, super-charged and turbo’d… (Both). If I heard you correctly, 400HP in this 2018, turbo’d only - (I am assuming). {How things change quickly}. Wish there were more of these. I still am happy with my SES version. (Torquey for an I-4 engine). (Not a V8 for sure, but the 31 MPG highway is a relief at the filling stations).
