Considering Uranus and Neptune have only ever been visited once, I thought it would be interesting to make a video about the fascinating discoveries Voyager 2 made as it passed the distant ice giants. So sit back, relax and immerse yourself into a 43 year old story about an amazing spacecraft and two mysterious planets! V
Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 are by far our most successful spacecraft. We have learned so much from these little guys and I presume we'll learn more as they trek on out of the solar system, Godspeed Voyagers.
Hi V101 Science, First of all, *_I am really happy to hear your awesome voice after about a month :)_* , it will be really *_wonderful x 3000_* if we get a video from you about *Hubble Deep Field* :) , will you make it? 🛰🛸🚀🙂
I like that the wind speeds were mentioned in mph and kph which really helps alot. 🙏
Are the black and white photos the ones that were originally taken and then enhanced? I was just wondering where we have gathered the other information to show these more detailed images of the distant planets, their rings and the moons orbiting them....It's amazing that all of them have been discovered to have rings! The little knowledge we non-science field people have is that Saturn is the only one that has rings in our solar system. (Or at least for me, this was news.)
@@maddiej.5691 I too used to believe that Saturn is the only ring planet in the solar system, but when after I meet V101, everything changed :)
And...All the satellites or telescope use to capture black and white photo due to some wavelength advantage... and after collecting data about light or which element is present where, scientist fill it with colours with some supercomputers... (as far as I know) :)
V101 Science *deserves* more than *_millions of subscribers_* , but he is not getting what he deserves *_:(_* , *come on guys !i!*
I just subscribed!
Made me realize I wasn't subscribed despite watching him for weeks... thanks.
Exactly!!! It's very valuable channel❤❤❤
I went to the NASA website to see the pictures voyegar took and they were mesmerising. Specially, the Neptune. Gorgeous!!
It's such an amazing project in so many ways... The time and distance traveled, the astonishing gravity-assists, the golden record, the instruments, the first-ever records set...
Agreed
This channel deserves more than 481k thousand subscribers for all the hard work put into these amazing videos
I cant believe it, i was hoping there would be one of your space videos, and here it is!
Thank you!
Same
Same again!👍
WHOO HOO!!! A new video! The BGM is perfect and makes it ........so...... BEAUTIFUL ♥️😍😍!!
I wish we send other voyagers, again, With updated instruments. We could learn much more about outer planets.
i wonder you why they haven't sent any ever since
@@R3in_Ch Money
@@nikolaramic Fuck money. They have money to have wars but no money for space missions... I hate humans...
The team behind a proposed mission to both Uranus and Neptune, which is called Trident, will be visiting NASA’s headquarters early next year to try and persuade the agency to make the proposal a reality
@@andrewbuchan2232 I can't tell of you're serious or joking, I'm cheering for you both anyway.
still can't believe voyager 2 is working and making history. i hope it carries on for many many years to come. the background music made this video so peaceful and very relaxing. Can't wait for the next one.
Your narration is excellent, and such a beautiful video... Thank you.
this is still my favorite channel on UA-cam tbh, much love V1.
You are by far my favourite of all these sort of channels. Thank you!
Space is an amazing topic to keep one's mind engaged with. While I like Jupiter for its colourful cloud-bands, the Great Red Spot, its savage storms & its predominating colossal figure, Uranus is also my favourite planet for its more mystical figure, its grouping as an "Ice Giant" its light-blue appearance & its peculiar 98 degree spin. The rings also make it astonishing confirming its tilt & which way it inhales life.
I get excited when i get notified you posted a new video. Lol. This is my favorite channel. Tritan is my favorite discovery. So cool that it's from somewhere else.
The voyagers really helped us understand our solar system better. They will really be missed. 😔😔
Btw, great video👍👍👍
nobody cares about the number of subscribers because we are on a channel that says things as they are! Look at the quality of the video content guys and not the numbers! WOAHHHH!👏👌🚀🌎🌙
I’ve never clicked so quickly
Another great video as always. Worth the wait
I was took by surprise when you said "Jupiter Rings"..I didn't know it...or even Neptune's.
Yeah Jupiter has rings. They just can't be seen and aren't as big as Saturn's or Neptune's rings
@@Dj1Crook Thank you man
@@gilbertoantoniomartins1323 your welcome
I could be wrong, but I think ALL planets have rings, it's certainly true of the giant planets, just most are so thin they're not really visible.
Same here
Thanks on Happy Thanks Giving V101 your videos has taught me a Lot of things, Whenever you upload i quickly pressed to watch it Thank You For Everything you've done.
I like your Space videos
10/10
Your voice makes me feel like crying right now because I'm going to miss voyager
There are no words to describe the solar system, so just enjoy it. Safe passage, Voyager 1 and 2. And thank you.
Wtf ! this guy is still in 480k .
U deserve more, boy🤕
Hi,
Very much informative and interesting topic. One of my favorite probes voyagers. Like to know the latest updates about the voyagers. Can u update a video if possible😁😁👍👍👍
That was a really amazing video I totally look forward 2 your nxt video
Thanks for giving us such incredible & interesting information...about space...👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻💯💯👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you V101 ❤️
Amazing video as always v1 👍
Space is fascinating 👌 and there is so much for us to learn.
Space also has a lot of . . . . . . Space 😂
Its amazing how this space exploration work requires great patience.
I click like button before watching your full video, because I know its gonna be great. ♥️♥️♥️
Informative, good visuals, nice music.
Great job!
Nooo, I'm 2 days late watching your video. Missed the notification I guess.
Thanks for uploading this video!
Hey dude I love your stuff yesterday was my birthday and turned 21 :)

Welcome back... and as always it was fantastic 👏
Love your miles/kilometres translation.
I just freaking love these videos
Finally a video 😍😍
Bro your all videos are perfect
Bro thanks I want know more about voyager spacecrafts and Neptune is my favourite
they have all been interesting, keep the videos coming
Its been hot minute since y'all dropped 💚
What exactly IS a 'hot minute' anyway?
Is that like, how long a minute would feel if it were unbearably hot? Is that what it means?
love voyager 2 ❤️
Props to the camera man for taking pictures of voyager 2.
Actually they used a 24$ drone with a go pro strapped to it
It was shot on iPhone 😂 with its telephoto lens
These comments are getting old and cringe
@@lubutamwimba8733 i agree
@@lubutamwimba8733 Yeah, just people copying top comments on other videos. At least come up with something original
The last 50 years has seen such an incredible acceleration of technology and NASA has led the way. Manned missions,, unmanned probes, telescopes and more. However, the VOYAGER probes stand apart IMO. They have been remarkable in so many ways. They have expanded our reach and our knowledge like no other program and their incredible longevity is amazing. To this day I am astounded by the amount of data they have given us.
This was great! Many thanks!
🇺🇸❤🇬🇧

Here’s hoping that someone like NASA, Russia, the ESA or China send a probe to one, if not both of these planets.
It would be a hard pick because Uranus rotates on its side and Neptune has a captured dwarf planet as a moon, which orbits backwards.
My personal pick would be Neptune because I think it’s cool.
Absolutely stunning video. Astronomy is my passion and you’re videos really hit the spot. Neptune is by far my favorite planet. 👽🔥🙌🏻
What a channel it’s gonna grow even bigger God willing
Voyager.. the Incredible space craft 😍
I am simple man.
I see V101 Science, I like.
Made my day...❤️ Thanks for the video...❤️
WHOO HOOO YES 👏🏻👍🏻...
cool 😎 hey bro thanks for the upload. Love the channel. I’m just sad because this unmanned spacecraft has got to see the universe more than we ever will.
I would love a video about the data found in that interestelar space 🤯😍
Awesome voice plus blend of space music in background. Thats V101 for you.
Really interesting. Such knowledge we can only gain from technology developed by mankind, really appreciate the people involved in voyager 2 program .
Can't beat Thanksgiving...turkey, stuffing, a nap, and a new video from V101! The fact that it's about ice giants is only icing on the proverbial holiday cake!
Happy Thanksgiving. V

Awesome content appreciate it!!
Thank you very much for video. U hv done a great effort. Pls do a video abt voyeger probe abilities such as how they power, power of camera, antenna and etc.
Voyager 2's visit to Uranus came just after the Challenger disaster. It was a morale booster. Although some don't believe it, William Herschel most certainly discovered the rings of Uranus.
Man, this is quality content

@@V101SPACE Also V101, what’s taking that Mars 101 video so long? I mean when are you gonna make it? Just wondering
@@sebbysuperstar8394 hopefully soon. I have a few other video ideas that I need to get out of my head first though. 🤯
@@V101SPACE But what about Mars 101 of the Planets 101 series?
Haha relax guys he is already doing a lot faster than Voyeger 2 is traveling into interstellar space 😘🥰🤗take your time buddy just make genuine stuff as always
Voyager 1 and 2 are awesome spacecrafts. Voyager 1 and 2 were set on different paths, and now both twin spacecrafts are in interstellar space. We don't know the fate of these spacecrafts. Voyager 2 was the only spacecraft to visit the ice giants, Uranus and Neptune, and because of Voyager 2 and observations from Hubble Space Telescope is how we know much about the two ice giants.
I remember watching this on TV as it was happening Carl Sagan doing a lot of the narration fascinating then and fascinating now.
true 80's were hardcore
The ice giants in our Solar System has fascinated me for a few years now. The high wind speeds, the possibility of diamonds raining down deep within their mantles and the possibility of solid ice bergs. My favorite type of planets
I've been hoping for more of your amazing videos. You are awesome, bro. Hope you're staying safe, and doing great. Thank you for the upload🤘😁🤘
We need to go back.
To Uranus
Loved it thank you.
I can't begin to describe how exciting it was to be alive and a student of astronomy in the late 80's when this data... the first EVER confirmed on Earth, began to feed back to humanity at last...
Hell yeah bro Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving! V
They need to change the name Uranus to the Roman God equivalent which is Caelus. It sounds very planetary and keeps things on topic.
I know right? I can't stand uranus jokes....
Now it would just sound like a Quebec profanity.
@@news_internationale2035 lol vrai
@@christhelostsoul9927 Yea, a fly by of my *nus would not be very good. A lot of methane would move the Voyager off course.
Even if they change name, yer anus will always be it's real name, and that's what I will call it.
PS, Pluto is a planet
The wind speed on those planets are beyond imagination
Yes. A lot like my state of Kansas. 😂
High winds are a part of life here. Albeit not quite so intense as those on these planets......even if it seems like it at times.
I love this channel. Always love to learn more about space. Cheers to the channel, and mad props to Voyager 2!👍
Love this channel.
In case I didn't say it earlier.....congrats on a half million subscribers. Like the Voyager probes keep going.
One million or bust!!!

You are one of the best UA-camrs that makes space related videos. Keep up the great work! But I have a suggestion. Can you maybe make a video about the twin Pioneer probes? Or maybe the Galileo Spacecraft that went to Jupiter before Juno?
Beautifully put together and engaging video, happy to subscribe. Thank you.
Another brilliant video thanks so much for putting it together and sharing it with us I always learn so much from the content keep making them mate 👍🚀🛰
Happy thanksgiving science man
How far can Voyager 2 go before we lose contact with it? truly amazing
You posted this video on my birthday!!
One Of The Most Greatest Space Probes Ever Launched!
I enjoy uranus videos!
Love this channel and all its planetary facts
It's amazing how voyager 2 is capable to navigate accurately where it is heading to for such a long duration in the empty space.
I just found out this channel and I really loved it! 😍
Wow amazing video keep up the good work
My favourite discovery was this channel! ❤
I remember when it was launched
I'm disappointed that gas giants "took" the possible atmospheres the Rocky planets could have had, or even devoured early Rocky planets.
Wonderful....how can an adult say which one is his favourite discovery? It's like asking what is your favourite colour to someone that is not a child anymore!
Wonder where voyager is now. It’s crazyy
Interstellar space

Uranus is one hell of a place to be... 🙏😇💞😎
Top.I also think that both Voyagers will enter the historical writings as something at the time that man made as the most advanced and research is still ongoing and that is currently our of the solar system. So impressive👏🤷♂️
Nothing prevented Voyager 1 from also visiting Uranus and Neptune except for the desire to make a close flyby of Saturn's moon Titan.
Voyager one was like. “Imma go UP”
Are we still getting data from voyager 2 ???? Does it still have fuel ? And power? Great video’ s
Its power is dwindling. More and more scientific instruments have been turned off. Maybe it'll have power for ten more years - perhaps 20 :(
@@turtle2720 thanks !👍🏻Thank would be great if it can send more back to us to see beyond
43 yrs old space craft same age as me... so amazing
The fact that humans can calculate the trajectory of these satellites to enter other planets orbits and use them to launch in other directions is astounding. Learned a little about this in second semester physics in college but never pursued it further. It blows my mind we are able to do this! It’s quite amazing! 🤯🤩
Just in time.. I was about to start a school project about Uranus.
