They are there to make you "aware" of the consequences not "stop" you from smoking. Otherwise they could make smoking illegal.

For the time, that movie was a marvel for Indian cinema. The spaceship entrance scene was really cool.

As a kid Yes. but now they don't really hold up. but good experience tho.
As a kid , i was fascinated and happy. I waited , and rented a CD for a week and watched it on my ONIDA TV. At that time i had no cable connection in my house and the CD player i got was also borrowed from my neighbour. It meant something really. Now that i m an adult who has so many gadgets around, it almost feels unreal . Today we can watch whatever we want at any time. Earlier we had to wait and most of the time watched whatever was played on the free national channel. 😂

To be honest I found alien in ET more weird than Jadoo. 😂 Also, it's alien. You can portray alien however you like. 😂 There are so many weird alien in Hollywood movies too.
After watching this, I watched the movie again. Guess what. U still liked that movie 😂. Movie is more about the story of the extraordinary child played by Hrithik Roshan more that Alien.

The most interesting part about this reaction was the stand-up itself.
This bit reminds me of early years of Indian internet where every Indian film was bad because it was unrealistic as if that's how cinema works. The rise of South Indian cinema made those snobs irrelevant. Good on Achara and Steph for calling things out.
South Indian cinema and other regional cinema existed along with B'wood since the beginning of cinema itself in India. It's the awareness about them that has risen over the past decade because of internet.

I think the rise in mediocre content led us to enjoy even bad content which is just not mediocre .
I'll believe any story and content if the ground work and detailing is well furnished and backs the actions of the characters .
I just didn't like movies like pushpa and salaar while I enjoyed RRR , it had some unbelievable things but I got so delved into the story that I didn't care , just like prime marvel movies or star wars.

The first part which is the roast of 'Koi Mil Gaya' was not appealing to me. I liked that Achara and Steph were backing up the movie by saying points in favour of it. I also came up with same points. Love you guys!
That movie was ahead of its time. It was necessary to do some things to make the film understandable and appealing to the audience. Even in today's time we see filmmakers taking unrealistic liberties in making sci-fi films. Maybe that will look funny after years. So we can't judge them. And these are Science Fiction films not scientific films.

I'm not sure why people make so much fun about Bollywood films they don't understand that the music the dance the clothes the extravagant scenarios are all very exciting to the West they crave to watch such stories hence the start making movies which have music and songs and dances as well because they know the attraction but unfortunately Bollywood just puts their films down they don't understand that Bollywood films are supposed to be film Noir which is one form of Art having songs is similar to having a montage full stop another most important thing I must mention is that watching Bollywood films makes you feel like you are being entertained the ones that are funny and light-hearted. Reality does not need to be portrayed on screen all the time we do not go to watch films to see reality you go to get entertained?

Never found this Karunesh bit funny because the riffing is childish. You couldn't play Dave on NASA's computers in 1960s as well, did that stop them? There are many reasons to hate on something, hating for the heck of it or because it's Indian is not fun enough.

I think a lot of Karunesh’s comedy comes from his style of delivery and the inflection in language. But half of the humour is lost in translation if you don’t understand Hindi.

Good skit, but adults have to tell other people what to do. Otherwise we'd have way more crime and health related deaths than we currently do. Most people know that smoking and meat is carcinogenic but people readily subject their bodies to it. Similarly it is common knowledge that alcohol can cause brain damage and brain-related conditions such as stroke and dementia, heart issues such as high blood pressure, heart damage and heart attacks, cirrhosis of the liver and liver failure. Yet people still drink left, right and centre.
