Thank you! Unfortunately Canada won’t be livestreamed as they don’t have the resources to do so. I do plan on capturing a lot of footage and making summary videos though. 💜🧩

Let's get cracking is a thing the men at Cracking the Cryptic say a lot before starting their puzzle. It fits really well since they're cracking tricky sudokus and sometimes cryptic crosswords. One of the two also does wordle in a minute videos, which are quite fun to watch

I’ll definitely check them out. I am no good at Cryptic Crosswords but love Sudoku. Any number puzzles are my favourite.💜🧩

I did that staircase puzzle for speed puzzle practice and it was SOOOO hard I wanted to cry. You are getting so much faster than when i first started watching your channel!! Super impressive

Thank you so much! I need to remember that I have gotten faster. I am proud of myself and appreciate you noticing as it can be disheartening to see people knock out a puzzle in like 30mins. That won’t ever be me and that’s okay. 💜🧩

I really enjoy these multiple puzzle vids. I totally agree Alison should go to worlds. "Let's get Cracking" is the hallmark of Cracking the Cryptic, a nice and friendly sudoku channel. I sometimes watch it for pure ASMR relaxing/ background noise.

I see that staircase one a lot and it scares me. I do really like the look of Student Days though

The staircase one reminds me of MC Escher or the Hogwarts stairs. Student Days was lots of fun. 💜🧩

Just found your channel and was so excited to see you’re in NZ, too! Is there a lot of speed puzzling in NZ?

    • @fortheloveofpuzzles

Hi!! So pleased you found my channel. Speed puzzling is becoming more and more popular here in NZ. You should join the Facebook groups - NZ Jigsaw Enthusiasts and NZ Jigsaw Puzzle Association. There is a competition coming up in July in Auckland and yearly they have speed puzzling at the Masters games. Not sure where you are located but there is definitely quite a few people interested. I’m down in Dunedin in case you are near me. 💜🧩

I didn't bother to try and decide how your times would have gone, I just enjoyed seeing you do them with Alison. I have done all three of those jigsaws but only timed myself on one and that was Student Days. It took me 2hrs 16mins & 21secs. I was pleased with that time as I wasn't rushing it. Another one I recently did was Tropical Waters and that took me 1hr 55mins & 7secs. I am currently, very slowly, working on a 1000 piece Ravensburger called Christmas Steps which relates to my home city. That came out in 2000. For me, this will be a difficult puzzle to do but I'm determined to get it done! I hope you do well in Canada and l look forward to your next video.

@@fortheloveofpuzzles If you haven't already found it, Google Ravensburger Christmas Steps, go into images and one should pop up on Rare Puzzles. It is sold but you can see what it is like. Hopefully it will still be there when you search.

So you can become a fast puzzler with one hand. I often need to pick the box up because I’m legally blind (have a significant visual impairment) but I love puzzling

My hands did me no favours this past weekend in Canada - I lost control of both of them for like 15mins. But maybe I can work on getting faster with my right one - my dominant hand. Eyesight and lighting are also always a key factor. 💜🧩

I think you should practice single color puzzles. It's always the slowest part for you when you have a lot of pieces of the same color. It might help with speedpuzzling.

Great video! And I just do not get it, how can you be so quick with some of these busy puzzles. I tried solo the Ludicrous library puzzle and it took me over 2 hours😅 Anyhow, great work on these puzzles And once again, have a great trip to Canada and good luck at the competition!

I'm so accustomed to taking up almost my whole dining table and using multiple bowls and trays to sort pieces, that I'm most impressed by how speed puzzlers work in such a limited space, lol. It's really smart of you to speed puzzle in different locations and under different conditions. You'll be prepared for anything. Outdoor puzzling next? 😛🧩💚

    • @fortheloveofpuzzles
      @fortheloveofpuzzles  Місяць тому +2

I was thinking to puzzle outdoors but worry for wind or bugs or something out of my control to interrupt. But it would make for a fun video. Practicing by limiting your space is very smart to do as most competitions you are limited. 💜🧩
