My mother bought one when i young...learned how to drive with this car..they were great..dependable..never tore up..solid..looked great too..take me back..16 years old..
My uncle bought a new 1966 Classic 770 4 door sedan with the 232 engine. What a great car it was. He drove Ramblers for as long as he could buy them. That 7 main bearing engine ran so smoothly. It just purred. The neighbors on both sides of us when I was a kid drove them too.
Ultra dependable and almost bulletproof. Mid-range bare bones Classic 660 however appears to be a pristine example. They did have a few problems with water and dust leaks but they were not major issues. This one deserves a good home.
Absolutely beautiful. Rambler has a beauty all its own. Check out the full coil seats and that very peppy and durable 7 main bearing six. High value at an affordable price and they last a long time.
I had an immaculate 65 550 in high school 1977. It had the 232 three on the tree. I could never find the difference between the 770, 660 or 550. The 550 is scarce. One other thing. These cars were highway stars.
My grandma had this cat in cobalt blue she got it for a steal because the woman had committed suicide in it had put the garden hose up to the exhaust pipe creepy and scary but Grandma drove the car for about 8 years after that ran great!
Mine needed an oil bypass kit. Parts didn’t get lubricated, Oil changed every 3000 miles. Always drained black. Got accused of not doing maintenance. Found out about the problem too late. A friend at work who had that done told me about it. Never had a good car until 2002. HONDA ODSSEY! Now I got 2015 HONDA ODYSSEY. Love it. Much respect for TOYOTA too.
