I grew up with British Knights, Reebok pumps, ,Ellesse, Avia, Pony, Puma, Adidas, Airwalk. I just bought these same sneakers on Amazon for $21.95. I was debating on buying them. Although they are called British knights the brand was actually born in New York City. They first hit the market in 1983, the company was founded by a man named Jack Schwartz who unfortunately passed away at a young age in his mid 40's however the company was taken over by his family who made his dream come true... I remember living in NYC in the 80's and 90's and British Knights were the biggest thing back then. Then Ewing's came along with the big 33 on the side and became a pretty big deal as well followed by Jordans. LA Gear was pretty big in the 90's as well but not so much in NYC... British knights started to fade in NYC after the turf wars between the Bloods and Crips because all the Crips wore them because they said BK stands for Bloods Killers so many stores stopped carrying the brand because these shoes were banned from schools in NYC.

Growing up in Cali in the 90s it was Kswiss, converse , vans, and Fila those were the cheap shoes that weren’t as popular as nike or adidas but u could still rock them without getting made fun of .

I had to come back to this video research purposes when you get a chance Google British Knights Metro 2008 retro very big difference BK needs to get back to that 2008 retro the shape of the shoe is completely different I'm bummed out because I just got these in the mail and they look nothing like the 2008. I've been seeing online these look like Walmart shoes compared to that 2008 retro they totally jipped out on this 😔😔😔😔
