  • We take a closer look at the high quality jasper that comes from the Wild Rivers Coast. I have been getting some nice high res pictures of the stones we gather when we make videos.
Many times, video cannot capture the fine detail of a stone in the field. Subtle changes in color or saturation in Jasper can accentuate fine plume structures that designers use to help their work reach it's potential. The placement of color in something as simple as a brooch can make an outfit or transform it. It's the visual interest that draws the eye, and focuses attention.
Understanding the psychology of adornment is a fundamental aspect of jewelry design. Without it, the designer is reduced to a collection of expensive artworks in garish frames.
The visual interest of the stone in the setting is just as important as the quality of the materials used to make it. The main reason I rock hound in this area is the sheer volume of high quality visually interesting material. You have to work for it though. That effort is also the reason I have a large amount of material to find ;)
We're eventually going to give these away when they're finished polishing.I've got a few more slideshows coming up.

My mind is blown by the jasper you have found! they are all so different and unique. I remember you saying some of the orbicular jaspers you found had green inside the poppys! Now I can see them real good, thats just far out!

New to your channel 🤩. Any areas where easy access on the rogue River for old ladies?😂

The south bank of the Rogue river has several that are maintained by the Port Of Gold Beach. The roadways are reasonably maintained. Gravels vary from pea sized to football sized. There are packed areas where people have driven. The rest is relatively loose gravels. It's walkable, but depends on your level of fitness. As with any new activity, try what you feel comfortable with. Your body will tell you what you're capable of doing.
