Chase Warner Glad to hear from you, and also glad you are digging this lesson. The channel is growing slowly, but steadily...thanks for getting me amped up, the motivation goes a long way. My channel receives the most views from the state of California, Dead country, so i'll keep these lessons coming. Thanks again. -Rob
1.love peace and happiness' al green; 2 I wish I knew how it feels to be free by nina simone; 3 Car wash Rolls Royce I think; 4 Folsom prison by johnny cash; 5 Any Carlos Satana songs of the early sixies. These are just what I came up with at 5:30 am this morning but you do a great selecting tune to present to your U tubers. Once again, keep it coming.
Thanks. I stumbled into the caged years ago and have been sorting it out since. You just filled in a "major" blank. Thanks much. 500th like and subscribed. Looking forward to your content.
Matthew Rose Always been my favorite Dead album, the harmonies, guitar lines, and overall compositon is mind blowing. Beyond all that, it just such a feel good record. I'll teach a few more from Working Man in the coming weeks. Thanks Matt. -Rob
swiftlessons thanks for the reply....and for all you hard work. I really dig watching you teach. I did have a request. I've never made a request cause I don't want to bug anybody. I don't know if you're also a Phish fan, but I've been trying to learn the song McGrup and the Watchful Hosemaster acoustically. Any chance that could be put in the lesson queue?
I wouldnt say I'm a fan yet, but I like everything Ive ever heard from Phish (except Trey's solo album). I'll take a listen and see if I can figure something out. Thanks alot!
swiftlessons Awesome, thanks a lot! There's an acoustic version of it from their festival out in California a few years ago called "Festival 8", if you get the chance. Trey is one of, if not my hugest, guitar inspirations...even though I play mostly acoustic blues. Very big fan of the older musicians like Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Skip James, Brownie McGhee. I really love how Clapton does the blues too and his acoustic playing. Who would you say your biggest influences are? And any recommendations as to any artists or albums to listen to?
I've finally come up with a tutorial suggestion, and I hope you can help! I've learned to play one of my all-time favorites - Immortality by Pearl Jam - here on UA-cam, but there's a problem: I can't find a video that teaches the best part of the song - the awesome solo at 2.15! If you could try out that tune, it would be amazing. In any case, thanks for all the great videos :)
loui0008 That is my Guild GAD-30r. This exact model is no longer in production, but Guild is now making the GAD F-130r, which is basically the same thing. Both are comfortable, Orchestra sized instruments that play and sound like a full-sized body, just slightly smaller. amzn.to/1HN156K
Gotta get this page more popularity. Hell yeah more dead tunes. Just in time for their last concert!
Good vibes from cali, thank you once again.
