Silvio's meltdown at the poker game was hilarious. Explaining the "Hazel" reference: that was the name of a 60s comedy series about a busybody live-in maid.
I can't eat Provolone anymore without thinking of Bevelaqua's sister. 🤣
Broooo!!! This is real shit! The guys and I get lunch brought to us every Wednesday. On the second Wednesday of the month, we get sandwiches from a local shop. It reminds me of Satriales, lol. I always get gabagool (capicola) salami and provolone. I always think of three things. Silvio. Bevilaquas sisters crotch and diet orange Fanta. Rent free in my head probably for life.
Federico Castellucio, the actor who played Furio, was on the Talking Sopranos podcast explaining how his scene with the baseball bat went down. Incredible to hear him tell it. Worth a watch.
Dave is played by the same actor who played the T1000 terminator in Terminator 2.
Excellent in both roles. What range Robert Patrick has!
@@MovementGraffitiYeah, good actor. He was in the last few seasons of the X Files too...
@wolfstrela
I liked him in "Fire In the Sky" & especially as Johnny Cash's father in "Walk the Line". Very talented guy.💙💫
Furio's hands rated E for everyone
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lilo Brancato, the actor who gets screamed at by Silvio for sweeping up around him, actually got into major trouble offscreen in 2005. By that time he was addicted to heroin and crack and burglarized a friend’s house with an accomplice and an off-duty cop who tried to stop them was killed. He was convicted of attempted burglary but was acquitted for the murder. He spent eight years (of a 10-year sentence) in jail before being released in 2013
Did anyone get convicted of the murder?
Nice man...yeah ?!?
@@snakeinthegrass7443 His accomplice was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life without parole.
@@bradsullivan2495 Thank you for some good news today!!!
Richie Aprile is such a good foil for Tony this season. One of my favorites to watch from the show.
He was so unpredictable well he was predictably unpredictable lol
Some shows have excellent secondary characters and the Sopranos was no exception. It's amazing how fantastic characters that may not seem a big deal at first end up being in some things.
My favorite character for sure
God every episode is just so good. I love game of thrones and I love breaking bad… to me this just rises above them all it’s amazing acting and writing.
Top notch Game Of Thrones was good because it was as good as Sopranos. Real characters, sharp writing. Clever dialogue.
@@Fnelrbnef After season 4 Game Of Thrones became crap.
Sopranos is good but let’s not get carried away. There’s a reason game of thrones was beloved worldwide and breaking bad to me is better but that’s preference since both are amazing.
@@Fnelrbnefagreed. As far as dialogue goes, only the first 4 seasons of Thrones comes close to The Sopranos. No other show can compete
Absolutely 100% Agree On A Whole Nother Level Never Be One Like Again
Yup the power of the best tv writing of all time still sucking you in no matter what time period this series blends it all together in a way no matter how many times you watch it iit makes you think more and more for angles and endings that you didn't catch last time making you question everything and very controversial and thought provoking keeps you coming back for Eternity there will never be a show on this rare gem 💎 level again that encompasses every sceneerio of tv writing mastpiece magic ever again and scoring a 10/10 on everything because this show is the greatest of all time on all fronts absolute perfect writing storytelling magic masterpiece bar none hands down
There never be one like it on this level again others have tried like SOA and Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad but even those don't hit me 20 years later like this masterpiece rare gem 💎 does I can watch this over and over again and still get something new or something I missed even when I'm already watching this series again with other people and there reactions from 2 other couples or family it's always something I can connect to from the other peoples views while I'm still watching it now with this guys starting all over again and laughing my ass off again and going on another magical adventure of the greatest of all time in tv history period 46:08
Celebrities playing themselves go to that card game too. Frank Sinatra Junior was there at the table in this episode. And David Lee Roth David makes an appearance too there.
Not to mention New York Giants Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor.
The statue that hovers over the meeting of Tony and Paulie is of Lou Costello, part of the comedy team of Abbott and Costello, whose most famous routine is "Who's on First?"
Chris warned them about Silvio when he gambles...🤣
Psychiatrists are required to be in therapy as a condition of their licensing. You spend all day having everyone else's stuff dumped on you, you need someone to dump it off onto yourself.
Really.... wow, didn’t know that..
If Richie was playing by old mob rules he'd listen to Tony cuz he's the Boss. It's obvious he don't respect Tony as the Boss. I see problems ahead for Richie
Richie was actually doing Davey a tremendous favor by banning him from the games until he was caught up.
Tony saw an opportunity to take his whole business
"Tony has to calm down!" -Asia
"Sometimes too much is enough." -BJ
Scatino didn't realize that you can't leverage friendship with a mobster when it comes to business.
You can't help but do those Italian fingers 👌🏾 😅 and BJ is doing it everytime he says Toni but we are here for it!!
I might be wrong.. Been forever since I've watched these...but I think y'all totally missed the point when dr.malfi?.. Tony's psychiatrist.?... asked "if he wanted to be the guy beating or getting beat.....n he didn't answer...it's probably because on a certain level..... he knows he may have deserved a beating for all the things he's done at some point and receiving that beating might actually help him release some of that anxiety.......jmo🤘🔥so cool y'all watching the sopranos 👍
But ofcourse it's always better to give than recive 😅😅😅in his line of work...
Yeah. I feel that if he wanted to give the beating, he would have no problem admitting that because he loves being seen as the aggressor.
BJ sticking to the “Waste Management” business. He ain’t no snitch! 😂
Asia and BJ stay consistent. 👊🏾. Keep the hustle up.
The inner conflict of Tony throughout the series is grappling internally with being such a bad guy, capable of evil things. Part of him hates who he is, but at the same time it is who he is, which makes the evil deeds satisfying. Satisfying and disturbing to him all at the same time. It's the struggle at his core and why his character is so deep and interesting. So yes, he wants to get the beatings (a sort of atonement) as much as he wants to give them.
18:30 syncs with the song Symphony of Destruction.
Robert Patrick (David) has a younger brother in the band Filter who were pretty big in the late 90s.
Melfi was VERY smashable in this series.
Especially in Goodfellas
Great legs! Ohh my
Provolone Sales increased 200% after this aired
The actor who plays psycho Ritchie played a super calm Rabbi on The West Wing.
Lanson Mamps
I watched Sopranos before West Wing so he still scared me.
Also was in scorcese mean streets.
Also, an Italian relative of Ray Romano from "Everybody Loves Raymond."
The poker player who asked if the dad of Meadow's friend wants to stop is Frank Sinatra Jr. the son of the famous singer
6:09 They do it, so that they will get the analysis and perspectives of another person, rather than relying on their own perspectives, which may potentially be compromized 👍👍👍👍
Any bets on if they will figure out that Puss is an informant before he gets killed?
The switch between Tony and David is one of the best scenes in the show. Tony has done everything he could to deny his childhood friend a seat at this game. He really did try to be a good friend to him... But David kept insisting, pushing, refusing to take his friend's advice.
Then, as soon as he loses big-time, he's back trying to chat with Tony like they're still just old school friends, but that innocence is lost. He's now (despite the warnings) in Tony's life in a business capacity. And, as we know, Tony doesn't mess around when it comes to business.
Basically David wants to have his cake and eat it too.
Tony already knew about that first scene. They are doing this all for Tony. Tony wants them all (and Christopher in that first scene working directly for Tony's interests) shaking people down. Tony gets 10% of everything they make with all their other scores too.
There’s a funny theory that Arti Bucco used to serve Tony and his friends stuff on the menu that wasn’t selling because they always ate for free. That’s why the meals he gives them are always weird things like whale. Lol
@@LtDan-rk4siyes meant quail. Arti is hilarious.
Chris acted out a scene from "Rebel Without a Cause", but you two haven't seen that. None of the most popular reactors have in fact. It's a must-see. James Dean only made 3 movies, was an incredibly huge star, then died when he wrecked his Italian sports car. Humphrey Bogart said, "He died at just the right time because he never would have been able to live up to his publicity." You have GOT to see Rebel.
18:30 ''AAAAAaaaa!!'' 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
My dad is a retired shrink. Therapists see other therapists as part of the job -- otherwise they'd go crazy from all the stories their patients pile on them.
I'd bet there's even therapists who specialize in therapists
Still wondering if you recognize Bruce Springsteen's band member😊
18:24 Love this scene; Furio is stone-cold badass. *Bam*, and goes in like the Terminator 😁😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣
“ Sometimes, too much is enough!” Amen to that. Hahahaha
You know Silvio is Bruce Springsteen's guitar play er in e street band, the one with the dew rag on
That’s Frank Sinatra Jr. at the card game.
Dr. Melfi's legs 🥴🥹🤤😇
Nobody seems to notice Tony looking at Furio the whole time at the party. In Italy, Tony saw a no nonsense soldier who would protect the boss without hesitation. Then at his house he sees him with his long hair down, playing with kids , not resembling the person he negotiated for. That’s why he told Chrissy to leave it alone. He wanted to make sure Furio was the real deal and he delivered. Tony was so happy in the car lol
Tony already knew Furio was the real deal. He didn't do it to make sure. He needed someone who would leave a path of destruction and a serious message. Something Tonys crew couldn't do for 3 weeks.
They just showed the shot of Furio playing to juxtapose his natural playful behavior vs his violent gangster side.
@@animock3051 nah you missed it
I COME! TONY MAKE A PARTY FOR ME!
@@francisalbert1799maybe you forgot ? Tony witnessed Furio beating the young street boy in Italy, Tony knew exactly who he was sending to collect the money
@@macjbenah I wrote it up above
I use Tony's line , when richie gives him the dead eyes, all the time now.. DON'T GIVE ME THE FOOKEN MANSON LAMPS
The guy who owns the Italian restaurant and Tony's best friend from way back. Is Arthur Bucco.. Called Artie. You guys should start writing names down. Lol. I notice it's a common theme you guys are struggling with. Probably because you're watching so many shows at once..
grateful for the uploads ♥love yalls chemistry
I still can’t believe Tony smacked down the T-1000.
Yo I've been watching along wit you guys for a while now but BJ killed me when they straight dismissed Puss from the table like the rat he is.
The bad gambler at the game he played the liquid terminator in T2.
My favorite show, and the 2nd best season of the show in my opinion.
We're watching it with you. I'm watching it for the 4th time with you. Keep it going we love ya'll !!!🎉
Tony was something different in season 2 🤣🤣🤣 Guy was tellin off everyone
when the dr. said giving the beating or taking it, you can see the smug on Tony's face turned into shame.
I'll never understand why Christopher quit acting class!
After one poker game, Davey Scatino went from proud father and local businessman to degenerate gambler who now owes his high school buddy $45,000, or $2,250 a week, anything short gets tacked on with interest.
That’s why they call it loan sharking.
That scene with Uncle Junior talking about his long lost brother absolutely kills me.
Love when Tony tells richie there's better looking men in the can then my sister
Lo Uncle Jun telling Tony about his unknown Uncle Eckly to soften Tony up for a higher percentage cut of the executive game. I'm onto you Junior lol
The Wire is next! Another great HBO show!
Do you guys have these shortened versions on patreon early access or only full episodes? As much as I love Sopranos, I don't have time to watch the full episodes lol.
Our Patreon provides early access to full uncut reactions to our tv episodes and movies.
18:42 That's what I thought the first time I saw this scene... Only difference is rather than staring in shock, I was laughing my ass off as Furio gave them a Sicilian-style lesson in respect 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Napolitan, Furio isn't a Sicilian , he's from Naples, which is on italian peninsula. Sicily is an island south of italian mainland.
Dream interpretation is a tricky thing. Most psychiatrists never get the hang of it because it's very interpretive. So it's the domain of the psychologist, being more art than science.
"kazoo you" 😂😂 always makes me laugh
Early Game of Thrones is the only other show I can think of that comes close to the quality of dialogue of The Sopranos. It doesnt have the "omg what happens next" cliffhangers as Breaking Bad, but it doesnt need them. The characters are written so well that they carry the show.
Cortina is liquid metal in Terminator 2
I worked the Deli counter for 5 years outta High School, oh it works! I don't know about now but back then it did. 🤣
As someone who studied Psychotherapy but does not practice, Therapists will often have a supervisor or see another therapist because as individuals we see things through a subjective lens. An outside party helps with objectivity. Also Bj, we are not supposed to be rooting for Tony Soprano or his crew. That's the genius of the show.
Keep the sopranos reactions coming. Asia look as fine as ever 😍
You are in the thick of what I consider the greatest season of tv drama ever. Love watching you two enjoy it!
Yo, if y’all can do this y’all can do THE WIRE series.
Please ✌🏿
@@earforenglish5867The Wire bored me to tears.
@@earforenglish5867I can handle a slow burn if I care about the characters the only character I gave a shit about on the wire was Omar.
Awesome 👍👍👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
Hey!!
Go ahead and both of you sign up for an acting class and film it!! We’ll watch!!👍
E5: Furio just like the Terminator!
E6: *The actual T-1000 shows up* Who is this geek?
I’m not sure you realized that Dr. Melfi is Karen from Goodfellas.
no theyve never mentioned it. i pointed it out a couple weeks ago but received no response to the comment.
Furio don't play
Recognise the guy from Terminator 2? :)

How are you liking the show, are you hooked.?
Frank Sinatra Jr. was one of the card players.
Also, David Scantino and Tony grew up together
Therapist often go to see other therapist for their problems. It’s not a wise thing to try to analyze your self. Even if you are a professional and they know that.
That's a movie you need to check out if you have not James Dean's movie Rebel Without a Cause
I really like the sopranos days.
You guys HAVE to watch Crash. Excellent movie but got to say you are going to get a little angry lol.
First time watching you guys....Asia is so very pretty just wanted to say that. I subscribed, I like Y'all's chemistry.
You know full well if Tony leaned over you like he died you’d do what he says.
14:04... I... Uh... Okay. :)
Ya! Get me off the news, good lord! 😒🤷♂️👍
Gangstas definitely do what gangstas do
Ol Doc had a fresh blowout to!
The ngga qith glasses at the table is Frank Sinatra, Jr.
Tony is a fckng intimidating, dude. I dont like admitting when I see somebody I am pretty damn sure i couldn't hurr, but Tony is like 6'4 250lbs
Waitin' on Ep 7 & 8

I need your clothes, your boots and your Frank Sinatra...
brilliant
NO the reason he didn't answer promptly is not because he would be the one doing the beating. It's that deep down inside he knows he is the one that deserves the beating. Tony always had a consciousness hidden some where deep inside. I would cause him problem his whole life.
I never understood people who would gamble or borrow money from OC and then slow pay or not pay at all. What do they expect? A call from a collection agency? Unreal. These people are as real as it gets. And old buddy of mine got into some trouble with football years ago. 60K was owed. Two guys cornered him on the street and showed him pictures of his family. I mean, Jesus Christ....what people get themselves into.
Davey thought because he grew up with Tony... he was a personal friend & wouldn’t be hassled too much if he got into debt.
