Skyrim elder scrolls 6
*all she needs
Plot twist, the piece of wood is actually from Yggdrasil.
he just discovered vinland saga.... farming simulation season
Beating a super difficult boss and ending up with 9990/10000 XP to lvl up is embarrassing because that 10XP is from a flower you will pick on the way back home
You needs reflect on the battle to truly improve. Or it was a very rooted flower idk
why milestone is better
@@enderfire3379 Milestone is only good if the GM can properly pace the game. Else you risk running the same level for too long, running "hard" levels too short (basically the ones that just granted players a lot of goodies and they need time to get used to them, and then they get overloaded with the next level), plus the possibility of side options such as stealthing, doing sidequests or whatever as incentives.
XP in the end is like gold: A currency you trade for a benefeit. Some games literally make you spend XP, even. "Can I somehow get more gold so I can get through the dungeon easily? Can I do something to get me some extra loot out of the dungeon?"
In the end it's all a balancing act, and it depends on your players, but unless you know what you're doing, it's best to err into XP than into milestone - you can play with XP to grant levels at specific points, but you can't tweak milestone for when players want to feel rewarded for a minor scene.
@@enderfire3379 100% agree
one does not develop their muscles during the work out, no only after the rest does your new height of strength reveal itself
“A level of woodcutting a day keeps the God’s in fair play.”
*average Skyrim player*
What is this, Runescape?
Runescape/Albion Online vibes.
@@Rigel_6need to bury more bones lol
@@Rigel_6 I wouldn't say. RuneScape has separate skill for woodcutting, as for many other activities.
The mic hitting the tip of the helm is just sublime.
I refuse to believe it is anything but him bumping the mic on accident and deciding it would be funnier to animate around the error.
@@Blyndir "No mistakes here, only happy accidents." _Bob Ross
LOL! i didnt see that little bump! thats funny asf
4th wall microphone
0:59 for the lazy
Hoot has jumped into the "XP vs Milestone" debate and has clearly chosen his side.
I wish there were more good RPG's with milestone based leveling.
He has declared XP to be funnier.
On one hand, XP works well at making everything have weight in games like this. On the other hand, it acts in this kind of way.
@@Satellaview1889 Agreed.
I personally like how Kingdom Hearts does it. While a lot of your levelling comes from xp, you get stat boosts and abilities from winning certain battles too, usually bosses and particularly hard scripted encounters.
I like to imagine the gods weren’t paying attention and panicked later just hitting the level up button at the first opportunity
Headcanon worthy.
Y e s
Knight: "Can you not see my dedication?!"
Gods: "Huh-oh... uh, uh, uh..."
Knight: *Chops wood*
Gods: "HEYLOOKATTHATLEVELUP!"
"hey who has the remote?"
-"I do I'm in here making popcorn this is going to be great"-
"it's already over get back in here!"
That dragon animation is fire
Yes they do that sometimes
Literally
What an astute observation
AND figuratively, is there... a word for it when its both?.. like, in french or something.
@@FL-Einhandersemantic syllepsis.
When a word or phrase is both literal and figurative.
The helmet's tiny movement when the mic hit it is so good
What a time to be blessed by the great hoot
What a time to be a alive! ~ two minute papers
@@handlemonium yes i love that man too
Damn I almost forgott how sick this man's voice is🥰
This video looks like just enough exp for my next level up
Is that a Max0r reference ?
@@Paludion This joke existed for years before Max0r used it, bro. Like, at least a decade.
@@Paludion it's not even the same line
I'm about to level up, Jack, and you look like just enough exp
This is why I spent 100 years picking flowers while living in an isolated cabin. I became a master swordsman despite having never *touched* a sword.
That sounds like the premise of an anime.
@@ShadowMurloc483 Several of them, in fact.
Generic Japanese light novel title 💀
I hate that I'd probably read something like this
@@warmsalmon3321 🤣 So true!
I love how when the mic moves forward and hits his helmet, you added the little nudge to show it did indeed hit his helmet.
A little touch to show why you're a spectacular animator.
When he said "ready to show that I am ready..." i felt that.
His readiness for readiness is getting ready already
Now we need a video on what it feels like to be overleveled for an area. Maybe show a boss preparing himself for what is surely going to be an epic bossfight, only for a dude in his underwear march into the arena and half-heartedly slap him from existence.
Yes, this would be hilarious
That's basically what happens in the "Something about..." videos from TerminalMontage. THAT'S what you're looking for!
Boss just chilling probably sleeping when he is suddenly awake to a naked man enter the room (soul of cinder blasting)
@@tenofclubs2 Reminded me of a meme photo of a dude waking up extremely confused. That could be played with in an animation
+99 Wooden stick be like
It feels like stop motions... Which is charming!
What?
@@Der_KeyThe animation has a jerky quality to it reminiscent of the stop motion technique used in animation. OP found great joy in that similarity.
@@Soridan ok thanks!
My thoughts as well.
yeah i love the art style
Every time I watch one of these with the knights armor n stuff I keep expecting a 'Parry this you filthy casual' meme and the guy to pull out a gun
Either way I'm not disappointed I just think it's funny lol.
I'm pretty sure the video "What happens when the backpack/inventory in a game is F U L L" makes this bit, I mean he doesn't say it but he does just that
The way the microphone hits his face 😂😂😂
The gods are displeased that you slayed an innocent dragon
Reminds me of an MMO I played.
Me and my mate challenged a world boss but my mate got one shot. With my build with counters and resistances I managed to tank the boss for 4 straight minutes. My mate came back with a proper group to kill the world boss. I legit leveled up after that eating a sandwich in my backpack.
"I am on an entirely different path. I pursue powers you don't dare to dream of. I grapple with nightmares beyond your comprehension."
*Bites sandwich, begins to glow and float.*
The microphone coming in and actually hitting him is what makes this video. I love it.
This feels like its based on a true story.
Other than that seeing a short but fully animated fight is cool
While this may be a weird comparison, I really liked how it worked in Kingdom Hearts 2, in that defeating certain bosses gave you a "bonus level" that worked like a normal one but just didn't count to the XP count
This is the best method, imo. People always argue about whether XP or Milestone is better. I say: why not both?
Bro leveled all his combat skills, he working on those gathering, processing, and craft skills now to raise his general level. 😂
I was so ready to see him get his ass handed to him then level up during the fight to get fully healed...then still lose haha!
that moment when making a carnage and genocide on end-game bosses didn't show aby progress on your lvl bar but picking up literal trash or stick from the ground did manage to make you reach lvl cap with it's 3 XP
I subbed, I actually like how it looks like old stop motion animation. Nostalgic.
I still can’t get over how everyone was sticking microphones around the knight at 0:59. That’s too funny.
man it has been a blast watching your animations grow in quality, in both VA and just overall how they look!
This is so much cooler than the actual guardian dragon fight
this looks like a high budget top tier animation and a stop motion at the same time
Those animations, from the true dragon moves to the mic hitting the nose of the helmet, that is what pouring your soul in your work looks like.
The slight dink of the mic hitting his helmet is gold.
0:58
I loved this part
The "are you actually feckin serious" with that voice is cherry on top
My favorite part of your animations is the fact you animate it in a way that mimics claymation. If you can help it, try to keep that for as long as you do this
Great job on the animation. noticed you went further than your normal shorts. love how it actually looks like stop motion animation
You know your animation is good when UA-cam thinks it's dark souls.
I need more of this, this is great
This was badass, I wasnt expecting something this cool to start my day with
Thank you for letting me smile each time
Hoot leveled up with the animation. This looks insane!
Thats what i love in your videos.
A hilarious Punchline delivered in under 2 minutes. Awesome footage and proper editing.
Hoot, the Number one when it comes to what i call "the shortest possible perfection".
It's not about the destination, it's about the 4,423rd rat you killed along the way.
Now he leveled up axe instead of his favorite sword.
I really like the animation in this. The way that actions are not blended together is really appealing.
Only animation I’ve seen from you and it’s enough to subscribe for, love it
Who knew leveling wood be this easy
who knew it wood be so easy.
i know im sorry. i just had to do it.
Animation was amazing on this! 😮😮😮
Arriving home, while chopping some wood, pondering on your deeds, you finally accept what you are… made you worthy.
“Ready to show….tht i am ready…”🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️😂
I love how the microphone at the end clips his helmet just a little as it's pushed into the scene. Little details like that are wonderful!. Keep up the great work, Hoot!
I love your videos! It gives me hope to keep working for my goals.
Honest gold for Honest work!
Respect the grind.
Your vids never dissapoint
Honest gold, for honest work.
Hoot's animation is just awesome!
First video I have ever seen from Hoot, but this has earned my subscription on its own.
I really love your talent man. Amazing. And I know that ot takes a lot of time and effort to do these smalll clips. Nuff respect..
This is too good, and I like it that way.
loved the voice over lol! The animation was really well too :)
The lumberjacks must be absolute units
You know, this level of production value, short story tension buildup, clarity of message and distinctiveness in style is better than what many tv youth channels have as own productions, possibly with a far bigger team than yours.
I guess what you already do suffices to not follow such a path, but if you would, you could...easily.
Keep it up, Dude. you rock.
You're animation quality has become excellent!
hoot returns with another masterpiece!
Idk what this is, but i loved every moment of it.
Great work
That’s so epic!
God : *"You actually just need 1 more XP out from 1000000000000000. Why so serious?"*
A blessed day in the youtube recommended algorithm bringing me to this fantastic animation
Damn.
Hoot bringing us the fight sequences now.
that animation was great!
the mic in the end sended me to oblivion, I wasn't expecting that one.
I'm surpriced you actually animated the whole battle, and make it good.
That's improvement.
I'm rolling with laughter. Well done!
LMFAO! I love the stop-motion animation style, too! Very visually distinct. 10/10!
Hoot's animation is always good, but the dragon was top notch this time. Super cool to see Hoot experimenting outside of his usual animation styles.
Nice animation work
Amazing video man 😂😂
This was funny man. Thanks.
"Ready to show that I am ready" The gods left after that line and didn't see the fight.
The audio is awesome!
I love how you animated a microphone hitting your face
YEEEAAAAAHHH NEW HOOT VIDEO
Its a good day when you post a video
That was a hoot!
Impressive animation with the dragon, funny ending as well. Keep up the great work Hoot.
Thank you! 🤜
@@Hoot No problem. Love the channel, looking forward to more.
You earned a sub.
Doing good with the more action-heavy scenes!
The mic tap is just so on point XD
you see that log was originally part of the World Tree
Love the little dink of the mic as it hit his helmet xD
The mic sliding into frame got me lol
I love this mans voice its rather soothing
When you finish killing 10 bosses and reach 99% level so you start farming to get the last bit of exp
I know I’m a little late to the party, but you guys are great. Just started watching your stuff. Trying not to watch to binge a few is always a small struggle.
Woah! Mighty power.
The fact that you found and utilized a mic model destroyed my sides my man 🤣🤣
that is SO GOOD! everything about this, the mic bumping into his helmet at 0:59 is so much funnier than it has any right to be cause its SO REAL. I love it
Wooow. So cool the style you are using reminds me a lot to the motion frame by frame like the strange world of Jack and many others before it. Awesome and funny short.
