- Berm Park is a free public bike park we began planning over 3 years ago. Since then we found a town willing to work with us, made a plan, raised funds, and hired a contractor to build the trails. Now, it's time for grand opening! This video will give you some details about that.

Congratulations Seth! I can only imagine how amazing it must feel to see this come to fruition. From your bike closet in FL to now, it has been an awesome progression.
It's bein a long time in the making but at lest they put good thought in to it even with the names of the tracks that's awesome man 👍
the Florida bike closet was epic. I remember Seth putting away all his bikes and forgetting camera in back so he had to fish it out with a hook.
i was a mere child when this project started, i used to ride my shitty walmart bike and doing mad jumps. now i ride a motorcycle and havnt touched a bike in years, only use mountain bike trails for my dirtbike adventures. good times
Honestly didn't realize how much content Seth has made since he started out. I went back and started to re-watch everything and I mean everything after finally getting into mountain biking about a month ago and I am still only about half-way through all the Old Seth's bike hacks. The things Seth has accomplished through this channel are just amazing!
Don't forget about the how cast videos where Seth was a radio installer
Sooooo stoked for this. Seth, you've really accomplished something huge here.
Amazing edit!
Amazing to see how far Seth's come from a track in his garden to full blown bike park for the community 🙌
For the fellow Americans garden means yard
Hi
Don't forget when he barely had a backyard and showed us his weird bikes
@@FrazGamingRBLX backyard/front yard Europeans call it a garden
You cannot imagine what it's like being someone who found your channel needing help with their old bike several years ago and to see this all grow from the sidelines, I'm so happy to hear that the trail is open and I hope someday I get a chance to stop by. I live in Australia with no way getting to the park so I shall work hard to someday be able to do so :D
Well done on the park, can't believe the restrictions applied to ebikes in the US. If you love mountain biking without the boring climbs they are the best addition to mtb since the dropper post.
even lets you get spicier with the climbs if you wanna, but it helps a 43 year old dad keep up with his 10 year old twins and their mom ride with them too.
Who else could do this other than you? You are a true community hero. I was only a road cyclist before you started Seth's Bike Hacks channel, after that now I am shredding local natural trails. Moreover, me and my friends built 4 singletracks in the woods by ourselves and basic tools and lots of sweat which has jumps, drops and gnarly stuff, all by your inspiration. Thanks a lot.
If I lived near there this would absolutely be thing thing that made me finally go get a mountain bike. The place looks amazing to learn in. Good job Seth! The hard work shows, and it’s all for the public.
Bike parks are popping up everywhere. Get a bike!
Massive congrats, what a major accomplishment and cool project!
Great project! Also a big fan of Athletic Brewing. I'm a beer snob and they're a great alternative when you don't want alcohol. Hell they made dry January survivable!
Damn people in that area are lucky to have this!
That’s crazy it’s finally done I loved going alone the journey of building it with you stay safe and have fun❤️
Seth, you are the reason that I love mountain bikes, and the reason I opened my own bike shop. (I'm 14 btw) Keep up the amazing work, and I can't wait to come ride Berm Park!
What do you mean How did you open your own bike shop??

Went to grand opening, got to meet Seth, got a picture with him. Super nice guy, I was kinda star struck, so I didn't say much, but I'm very grateful for his time!! Really enjoy the videos and look forward to seeing more!! Big thanks to Seth for all he does!! Very cool park!!!
Man, wish I lived in the area. That looks like so much fun. I’m relatively new to the whole biking scene, just got into it about 1 month ago or so. I’m from WI so I’m still trying to find trails or parks like this one to go out and ride on! Keep up the good work and congratulations on your dream being realized!
Tip if you don't already; keep an eye out on trailforks and use data from strava to find both official and unofficial trails
Trailforks is also a great way to get in touch with people nearby who might be doing some digging and/or trail maintenance. I use it together with Strava, as the 2 can interact / share data.
yoooooo let's goooooo finally it's open
Not yet, but tomorrow!😂
It's been a while since the last time I've watched your videos even before the pandemic started. I still remember the time where I started to have interest on MTB and I bought my first hard tail entry level MTB. Happy to see again your videos Seth. 🤗👋💪
I live in Australia and still been watching the amazing journey of Berm Park
I’ve watched all your videos up until probably just over a year ago, just after you changed from Seth’s bike hacks to berm peak and just seeing this video wow things have changed I never though berm peak would become this is crazy. Back when I would watch your videos you were my favourite UA-cam, I live in Australia so every week I would stay up really late waiting for your video to come out on most of your videos I was the 1st 100 viewers since you started your your trail at your old house and once I watched your new video I would watch you old videos. But even then I had to rewatch videos cause I had literally watched all your videos♥️
Congrats on all your hard work coming together man, this is amazing and thanks for letting us watch along the way!
I am going to be in the area next month, and will definitely bring my bike to check out some of the easier trails! What a joy that the timing worked out well, since NC is a fairly long drive from OK!
You will likely end up riding most of the trails. The easier trails are super fun, but also can be ridden hard. The harder trails are super fun but can be ridden easier.
I’ve been watching you for over two years and I don’t even bike but you’ve made me want to start
I'm coming soon! I've been following you rchannel for years, and you inspired me to build my own trail system at home Thank you!
So proud of everything you’ve accomplished Seth! I don’t think you realize how much of an impact you’ve had on this sport.
2 years ago I saw my first “seths bike hacks” video, and learned about mountain biking. I fell in love with it, dusted off my parents old 90s trek and started riding.
Today I’m about to ride my first real mountain bike, (Giant trance X 29er), and I wouldn’t have ever gotten here without Seth. I grinded to afford a good full suspension, saving up for two years.
Thank you Seth ⭐️
One day I’ll ride berm park, all because of your hard work.
CONGRATS!!! Amazing to see the whole journey of making this park. Thank you for keeping us updated!
opening on my birthday, sick! looks awesome.
So glad to have found the channel when I did a couple years ago, a new video is one of the first things on my mind every Friday morning.
Incredibly exciting, great work to everyone involved in bringing this project to fruition.
When you said the main way in was hiking and biking I was thinking that's going to cause problems 😂. But you guys obviously knew that already by making a return bike only lol
Congrats Seth, crew, and everyone involved. Long process, and big payoff. WTG!!
Seth, I believe I speak for most if not all of us in the mountain bike community. Everything you have done has helped grow and improve mountain biking for all. I personally wanted to say thank you!

Huge congratulations from England. It interesting to see the attitude to E-bikes, hopefully the rules will ease, here in the UK they really have transformed the scene in a good way. I was super sceptical until I had a go then I was hooked.
Too many Karen’s around here…
@@owen_som very true
@@owen_som I don’t get what you mean?
Europe as a whole is way ahead, I think less egos, as it is the egos of many MTBers about ebikes being "cheating" and basically allowing dirt bikes. Further from the truth but you can see it on youtube at many parks and rec board meetings in the U.S. Once the egos go away, we all benefit.
@@lforrest14 I got my first mountain bike back in ‘87, I still snowboard (like a god) and I still own a Lotus Evora and have blasted about on Ducatis and dirt bikes… all said and done my current modest Specialized Turbo Levo Comp 2020 700 watt is a master piece. We have no uplifts here in England and I’ll typically ride up 3,000 feet on a ride with my 50 something buddies and it is epic… I am pushing myself harder and doing more because the drudgery of monster climbs is eased, more than that we are doing jumps going up the hills. E-bikes my enlightened friend are a brilliant future. Truth is after 1 minute on an ebike I know I had to have one, but me and the lads had a “serious discussion”on whether real men ride ebikes 😂
This is exactly where I would want to go to if I lived in America because it looks outstanding

Congrats on getting this open!!! BTW, our county just changed the code to allow e-bikes(class 1 and 3) on all of our county trails. I think it's a step in the right direction. Hopefully your area will adapt to them soon.
Where you at? Always looking for eBike friendly places to visit as they aren't always easy to find.
@@RideShagbark Kansas City Missouri. Honestly, not many people around here followed the “No EBikes” anyway.
love to see a whole lot more of this, at least class 1 if nothing else.
Congrats seth been watching for over 5 years and ben wating and existed for it to open🤟
Been following your channel since the early days, congratulations Seth and everyone else involved. It's been awsome seeing this grow into what it is. So happy for you!
This looks absolutely great! A ton of work that has paid off in spades! Congratulations buddy! I will add it to my bucket list!
The lack of love for e-bikes is a bummer.
Typically, the "e" part is only used for the climb. Which means the rider can spend more time and human-energy on the fun stuff.
A legal e-bike isn't tearing up the trail (power, speed, assist limits), and I wish they weren't so discouraged by seemingly needless restrictions.
*There is a big difference between a legal e-bike (levels 1, 2, 3) and the illegal (practically e-motorcycles) that sticklers seem to imagine ripping up the trails.
Welcome to Finland where under 25km/h e-bikes are consired as normal bikes. No special rules anywhere.
Yep, sux for you guys over there 😩 Australia 🇦🇺 doesn’t have that issue. We understand it’s a assisted mtb NOT a electric motorbike. Glad I’m not living over there
Seth I've watched not only u grow but I've watched ur channel grow. Ur a true inspiration
Congrats on the bike park. You are forever immortalized. You are one of the good humans out there!.Cheers.
I’m so excited for what’s next
Can’t wait to ride it!!
Being from England its kinda strange to me why ebikes are banned lots of places in the USA I thought it was suppose to be the land of the free do what ever you want, ebikes aren't any faster than normal bikes you can just rider further. When was the last time someone got seriously injured riding up the fire road. They're allowed here everywhere a normal bike is allowed here and I can't recall it ever being an issue ever anywhere. can anyone explain this please
makin' a comment to see if anyone answers this. I have some snarky thoughts on the topic, but also genuinely want to know why all the e-bike hate. Surely its more than just "e-bikes are cheating" bigotry.
I feel u bro
In theory e-bikes can sustain higher powers in a way most un-assisted do not, accelerating erosion and perhaps posing a hazard in share spaces. I don't know whether there's any strong evidence either way on the reality of it. The 'rules' are only part of the story anyway, in the UK (and elsewhere) some people ride technically illegal derestricted e-bikes and scooters in public places and go unchallenged. Road-legal e-bikes are limited to 25 kph and 250 W I believe, and the user must always be pedalling to get power. In the UK, electric scooters are only allowed by local by-laws for hire schemes. Many of the 'illegal' bikes and scooters do no harm at all, and they're preferable to more cars, but we clearly need a properly harmonised approach to electric and e-assisted micromobility.
Love my ebike. Makes a 40 minute climb 5 minutes without huffing and puffing at the top before a descent. I feel way safer on the way down because I’m not as fatigued. They’re becoming more accepted in the US. It’s going rather slowly but in many situations where ebikes are not allowed the rule is not enforced.
Nobody really understands it
Well played, Sir! "And I think to myself... what a wonderful world."
Fantastic to see this project become reality! I’m happy my contributions have helped and really hope I can visit from the UK sometime in the future! Good luck with the opening day tomorrow! 👍🏻
It's a shame there is still discrimination of EMTB's at public parks. EMTB's tread just as lightly as analog MTB's but climb better. It's a rule that doesn't make any sense. Glad your park is finally opening.
And weirdly, most places that discriminate against emtbs are very liberal
Not allowing ebikes reminds of the ski areas saying, NO snowboards! You might remember what a mistake that was. Ebikes are a huge trend I hope they rethink that position. DK
very much agree
I'm really happy you were able to make this happen and see it through for your community! I hope everyone enjoys what you've done for many years to come.
Opening day was such a blast. Had a great time meeting you there Seth, phenomenal trails.
The e-bike controversy just blows my mind basically the same way that most trail system are “All Natural / Purists” BS. I literally quit mountain biking after moving to the Midwest. The trail here are so pretty but and better suited for hiking.
@Cody Skypek 😂 nothing wrong with peddling, I can pedal up hill for hours. Its just not same in KC unless you’re into cross country or cross fit🤪 might as well start road bike🥴
😞 no ebikes. Hopefully one day.
Amazing man. Been a part of your journey for a few years now. What an accomplishment.

Looks great, Seth! Wish I was closer and could try it out.
The Ebike access sounds like snowboards in the 80's. I'll bet lower-powered pedal assist ones will gain more and more acceptance.
No E-bikes!?! Big bummer 😕😕😕
Just started riding less than a year ago and Berm Peak has been a staple in my learning about the sport. So excited for you Seth and can’t wait to get out there and ride the park. I’m in Wake Forest, NC so what feels like a mythical place is not far from reality! Congrats! 🍻
Everything Seth does is huge, no place for small and simple stuff, he doesn't play in service... Congrats Man
I first thought you were joking, when you said, that ebikes are not allowed. Interesting how the rules differ. In germany and france you can ride whatever Trail Park you want with your eMTB. even in bikeparks with lifts you see a lot of e Mountainbikers here.
Almost forgot: great project! I love what you do. Thanks 4 the great Content. Your Community there will have a great time
It is culture hate. very telling of who seth really is.
This looks amazing, I wish we had trails like this around where I live! Also, genuine question, what would have to change for Berm Park to allow e-bikes?
Yeah, it makes no sense, some places are just slow to adapt and too many riders upset about ebikes when it does not effect them. That being said, Seth said on the East coast most public trails do not allow E-Bikes, maybe in the south east, in Pa. most trails are e-bike friendly, public and of course private.
@@lforrest14 to be fair, Kolo, Kanuga and plenty of places with in 20 or so minutes all e-bike friendly. People will have to convince the city that ebikes aren't motorcycles and people won't be ripping around the mountain at 20mph non stop running over everything and everyone they encounter. I feel like that is the main false impression by people who don't have any hands on experience.
@@BryanKeller724 It is absolutely the wrong impression. I have see a full trail system closed to all bikes for Two years due to the resistance some Mountain bikers gave to allowing E-Bikes on the trail. They went to the board meeting, and those against made those same tired arguments of bikes going super fast up hill, destroying trails, going super fast downhill. Counter discussion pointed out the bikes go no faster downhill, and they were wrong about the uphill speed. The board decided to ban all bikes as the riders themselves could not agree on the safety of people. It was weird, an only changed after the older people were finally voted off the board.
@@lforrest14 that's insanity, I'll take the blanket class 1 emtbs can go where ever regular MTBs can.
Congratulations on the new park and the huge accomplishment! Great job to all involved
Congrats. Hope the weather is amazing for opening day. Looks beautiful.
Why aren't ebikes allowed? How different are they from other bikes besides they take you up faster on the climbing trail?
I don't actually like ebikes that much, thats not why I'm asking, I'm just curious
Thank you for not hating us who got into mtb because of ebikes. Pedal assist only would be fair.
I was planning a trip to ride there with my family, but no ebikes means no visit and no income for the surrounding community. Hopefully, things will change down there.

So glad you made this happen and in NC… thanks for giving back…
What is it with the US and ebikes not being allowed in a lot of places? So backwards!
Oh and the park looks great, good job Seth! I had a question, are there toilets anywhere for those of us with small bladders?
No E Bikes I'm 65 years old and I bought for this type of outings change the rules not fair for us seniors!
From some guy reviewing a dropper post for his old trek, to someone opening a bike park. What a journey.
Years in the making! Congrats!
i can't agree with the regulation e bikes are off(it is none sense).... e bikes without battery are almost in the same weight with a hardcore dh bike if only the deterioration of the track quality is a consideration, not to mantion there are more kind of people with different wieght, just immagine! My kid is 16 years old and wehigts with his e- bike nothing more than 80 kg in full gear, but i am with my normal dh bike almost 120kg with full gear ....
So i could be use this bikepark but my kid couldn't.... completely pointless
Maybe I see it wrong and there is another reason if so please someone enlighten me!
Just a little curiosity.
In europe, for example, in austria and germany, but even in slovakia (all european commission), the tracks in bikeparks can be used with an electric bike in almost every park without exception.
Anyway, the work and the result are fantastic, I can only congratulate.
I am very sad that there are not even similar tracks here in Europe in my country, Hungary.
(sorry for my english, i am not expert)
Peace!
It's not the weight, it's the hate.
@@_tim___4234 Well then all I can say about the sanction is that it is pathetic. I guess many of us grew up in the era that we had to deal with the slopes uphill. Probably this is the envy of the ban. And envy is always a bad advisor. It doesn’t bother me at all if someone overtakes me uphill with an E-bike. It’s simply clear, but that’s why he should be hated because he doesn’t want to go down the same slope 2x in three hours, but has the option of 3-4x as well.
Why no ebikes?
super sick that you're giving back to the community with this awesome park
Massive congrats, Seth! This looks amazing! So much hard work paid off!
Why no e bikes? I don’t ride anything but an e bike anymore bc of my arthritis. Guess I’ll go ride somewhere else
Why is america so obsessed with E-Bikes? Here in Austria i dont know any trails or parks where you cant ride an E-Bike
strava elitism
Congrats Seth! Cant imagine how many happy faces this will bring!
I started watching just in 2019 and to see the tremendous and exponential growth of your projects is like watching a friend do huge things!!! Congrats and very happy for you and all the people involved.
Real shame on the eBikes. Plenty of folks out there with chronic medical conditions, long term recovery or pain that can't do manual climbs anymore. eBikes allow them to get back out there without needing a gravity feed park (lift/bus). Also allows them to stay active and get stronger so maybe they won't need the e-assist at some point in their future. Not criticizing you or Berm Peak/Park specifically since it's clearly not your call. Just a frustrating mess trying to find places that do allow it. Please make that extremely clear on any informative pages that exist. Nothing is worse than not seeing them disallowed on official sites. Then driving a couple hours to find it posted that you can't ride.
Bummer about the “No ebikes” bit. 😐
Hopefully that changes soon. I have a disability that has limited my ability to pedal my Amish bike much. But my ebike does let me get out there still.
Kanuga, Fire Mtn and all of TN is emtb friendly
@@brandihodges9548 the point is simply that you should be able to ride a class 1 emtb anywhere you can ride any other mtb.
@@BryanKeller724 I agree
You should be very proud. It is one for us to all sit here and blab, but to actually do what you did! that take an army and a lot of dedication, money and grit. thank you sir.
Congratulations Seth.... Wishing Berm Park a super duper opening. Cheers
Why do you have such problems with e-bikes in the US? Here in Germany there's no difference in trails for normal and electric mountain bikes. And why would it be? A 100 kg rider on a 15 kg mtb is still heavier than a 80 kg rider on a 25 kg e-mtb. And in downhill trails the extra torque/ speed from the motor also shouldn't really matter.
And they don't have a lift. Pedal assist only makes no sense, but their decision is just nonsensical.
Why no ebikes on public park ? wtf
Wow. This is something I would have never expected! I remember stumbling across your channel YEARS back and watching you all the time until you got me into mountain biking. As I've fallen away from mountain biking, I stopped watching your channel, but I guess UA-cam wanted me to see how far you've come. after seeing this it makes me want to pick up my bike again and go hit some of those trails!
