took me over an hour to thread that needle without luck.... finally I had an idea that actually worked! I used tweezers to hold thread then thru the needle! it worked, took me less than 30 seconds!

This is the best video I have seen for beginners. I just purchased the M1000 and "Mom's" explanation and video is by far very complete and full of good information. She provided tips on things not covered in other videos and clearly explained the steps better than other videos I have watched. Also the video closeups of the :loop for the bobbin were very exceptionally clear and understandable. Great job. Can't wait to learn from her other videos! I love the accent....Texas?

Help. I watched and re watched this video more than 20 times to make sure I'm doing everything correctly but when i get to min 15, my needle thread and bobbin thread are not forming a loop. Basically needle forms a loop on its own without catching any bobbin thread. Im honestly thinking I have a faulty machine. .Its brand new 😢.
The 'loop' is the bobbin thread wrapped around the top thread. You should have one thread coming up from the hole under the needle, and one coming down through the needle. Before you give up on it, try a new needle. A slightly bent needle can prevent it catching right. Hope this helps!

And I finally got one for Christmas I’m so excited and can’t wait to use it and your video helped me tremendously. The only question I got is how do I help my thread and bobber thread from coming out of the needle and place once I start sewing?
63 year old male. Getting one of these to sew jeans. I was looking to see if this machine will accept pant legs up to the knee area. I kind of doubt if I can stuff half of a pant leg into that sleeve guide crevice (or what ever it's called). I may have to cut open leg seam to get at the knee area to be patched and then sew the leg seam back together. I'm worried about the speed though, being a first timer. Seems to be no speed control on the foot pedal, from another video I just watched. Pedal seems to be just go & stop. But with clear instructions like you just showed, I have more confidence now. Thank You.

I've been sewing 60 years and the motor finally went out on my singer. I picked the M1000 up for quick jobs but the needle position is too far to the right and hits the needle plate. When I change position I am unable ti zig zag, only straight stitch. This is really frustrating! How to I adjust this?

22:02 I think we’ve done everything correctly. Takes a few tries to get the loop. When we first feed the material through, the bobbin thread is on the underside of the material and the needle thread is on the topside. Is that normal?
Can you change presser feet? I need to use a quarter inch foot and a zipper foot for narrowed seam allowance. I haven't taken mine out of its box yet. I wanted a simple travel machine. I have a better fully functioning Husqvarna. / I've been sewing many years. I hope I'm not too disappointed about how simple it is. I like to carry one to retres and i go to the library to sew with friends. I dont want to carry a bigger and.. . more expensive machine.

@momdoesstuff Just quilt tops. I already have 2 full-size machines. I need a portable one that I'm not worried about losing, dropping (while carrying it around), or someone stealing. This is just to have a mini machine that isn't a toy.
