Nova Scotia, Cape Breton and Newfoundland if you haven’t already! We are looking at a possible winter trip to Grenada (the spice isle), will see if that pans out. Air Canada and now West Jet have direct flights from Pearson. Happy Travelling! We are now officially retired so settling in….
Merry Christmas and good health in 2025.
Merry Christmas to you, we are glad you are enjoying your retirement. We have visited those out East all wonderful Cheers and Merry Christmas 🎅🎄🍻🍷
Hi Tina and Norm, we met you in Albufeira last Jan, we have just been stopping in Quarteira, got a great deal in the Dom Jose hotel, right on the beach. Hope you both have a happy Christmas and a wonderful new year, love the videos, keep up the good work. Happy travels.
Andy & Linda
Twenty-five years ago we went to Orlando with the kids in August. There are no sufficient words to describe the mix of heat and humidity that you will experience there at that time of the year! I was still a young man back then and it knocked the crap out of me. I wouldn't even think of doing it now at my age. The best advice I can give you is don't go out till after sundown. Stay in the a/c. People drop dead every day. Hard to catch your breath, the air is so thick!
Thanks for sharing your experience. We will pick and choose our days out and if not stay in the A/C Cheers 🇺🇸🍻🇨🇦
@@ThisIsOurRetirementOrlando is the bestest! We've been 3 times. Disney-World and Universal, my daughters being big Harry Potter fans. We find that nice and reasonably priced accommodations are abundant and plan on going back again and again. Next time we plan on taking the new high-speed train from Orlando to Miami. It's called Brightline and takes about 3 hours one way! That would be a cool video for you to do!❤️🍻🥅🏒- Mike from Ottawa
Thanks for sharing Mike 🇺🇸🍻🇨🇦

Happy Christmas Tina & Norm. You are inspiring me to keep travelling in my retirement. You have some great ideas.
Thank you! Keep on travelling!
Merry Christmas Tina and Norm! I too will be hitting the big 70 in 2025. My wife and I hope to travel a great deal over the next few years while we still have the “youth” to enjoy the world. Hearing your ambitious travel plans are an inspiration to us as we too make our 2025 destination list. Safe travels in the year to come. I look forward to your trip videos!
Happy birthday too Jamie, 2025 is going to be a great year
Dear Tina and Norm, Christmas is the only time of year in which one can sit in front of a dead tree and eat candy out of socks. Enjoy! Wishing you a white Christmas! (And when you run out of white, just open a bottle of red). Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year for 2025 and beyond to you both and your family. Stay safe and keep well.
High Mike we will be back in Canada with family for Christmas and still applying aloe Vera for the sunburn. We wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and safe travels in 2025, we do appreciate your support it means a lot.
Wonderful plans! Please post videos and recommendations on everything! Congratulations to Norm and your granddaughter on your birthdays! 🎉
Thanks! We will try 🙂
What an exciting year you have planned. All of your adventures sound great, enjoy. Yes as people are commenting, August in Orlando will be hot, but you’re celebrating birthdays and you’re with family and making wonderful memories….priceless
Thanks for the encouragement! ✈️ we are looking forward to it 🇺🇸🍻🇨🇦☕️
So excited that you are coming to Orlando in 2025! My husband and I just retired last week and live in Longwood, a suburb in north of Orlando. I hope you post a video when you are here!
Congratulations 🥳 on your retirement Cheers 🇺🇸🍷🇨🇦
Hello there, your travel plans sound wonderful. There’s a lovely boutique hotel just outside of Tobermory called Sweetwater Bay. Would definitely recommend. Great food and ambiance while close to town, the stunning Bruce Penninsula National Park and the Grotto Hiking Trail. So much to see and do on the peninsula with Flowerpot island as well. Safe travels.
Thanks for the recommendation! We’ve added it to our list. 🇨🇦 🌺
You both are inspiring us with some of your travel ideas. We are looking at the Toronto to Vancouver train adventure. My wife will be 70 on August 19. Cheers to the next year of Travel!!!
Norm will be 70 on August 10 that will be a great month , hope you do the train trip 🚂 we loved it 🙂🍻
Hi Norm and Tina. We went to Universal Orlando in September when it was still quite hot, to celebrate my new hip and the fact that I could walk again. We rode all the rides like a couple of kids and had a blast! We had early entry so we were able to do all our walking and rides in the morning before it got too hot. Be prepared to walk for miles ever day! We hung out by the pool in the afternoons when it got too hot. Have a great time - sounds like you have some wonderful trips coming up!
Thanks for the tips, we'll definitely keep the heat in mind! And go early in the day Susan Cheers 🇺🇸🍻🇨🇦🍷
In your adopted country. do not miss some of the incredible nature in our Rocky mountains. A helicopter trip and staying at the Assinibione Lodge and/or the beautiful Lake O'Hara Lodge. Reservations are needed well in advance and some $$$, but they are incredible. The strong and energetic can hike in and backpack, but these are options for others. Thanks for yuor interesting and informative channel.
We are very interested to hear about the details and see the pics for your upcoming trip to the Amazon and the Galapogos.
We did drive a rented RV from Toronto to Vancouver and saw the Rockies, then we took the Canadian VIA Rail train Toronto to Vancouver and saw so much awesome scenery through the Rockies. Thank you for suggesting these other places we really appreciate it and will add them to our list of must do’s in Canada.
Your travels and videos are inspiring. Late in 2025 is my big 70 as well. You are going to love Ecuador. Galapagos is very special. After 2 years of going to Ecuador myself this year I'm going to Portugal! In no small part as a result of watching your videos.
Looks like this is a special year for you too turning 70 we hope you enjoy Portugal 🇵🇹 we are looking forward to Ecuador 🇪🇨🇵🇹🇨🇦🍻🥳
I went to Madeira as my first trip after things opened up after Covid and absolutely loved it.
Beautiful and unique scenery, friendly people and lovely fresh food. Their dairy products and seafood are amazing and
the bananas are famous. I would highly recommend taking a small group jeep tour of the east and west parts of the island.
We also went to Oahu last year, don't miss Pearl Harbour it is so moving and so well done. The movie and museum were
very informative.
Happy Holidays and wishing you a year fullied with wonderful travel.
Thanks for the Madeira tip, it looks amazing! We would like to go back there just been on a cruise 🚢 day trip 🎄🍷🎅☕️
Hi Norm and Tina: Bus tours are fun. Live like a rock star! Planning train and Northern lights tours in Finland/Austria/Switzerland or Norway are on our radar. Welcome to our home town! Cheers!
Hi Paul, we feel like that but have to live within our budget 😂😂🥂
Hello Tina & Norm. My wife and I are also turning 70 next year. We're hoping you will opt for Quarteira this coming month/winter as we'll be nearby in Lagos. Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you both! We're thinking about Quarteira, it sounds like a nice place just need a place to stay 😂😂🇵🇹🇨🇦
Yes it is, and it's right next to Vilamoura. It has a different vibe from that of Albufeira, and walkable.
Hi Both...Looks like your 2025 is rounding up nicely. Just curious if you have been to Malta. We loved it there. For a weekly pass of 20 Euros (back then) we could meet at main part of city and travel around very easily. Friendly people and the history is amazing. Somewhere we would like to go back too...Stay safe and keep well ..F&D xx
We have often thought of Malta 🇲🇹 but not got there yet Cheers Guys 🍻🙂🍷
Take Air North flight to Yukon in the summer. Go to Skagway and take the narrow gauge railway then stop in Carcross. A trip to Dawson City, Yukon is another historic area to see.
That sounds like a great adventure - we will have to check it out! Thanks 🍻🙂
I know you have spent time in Portugal and you mentioned Italy as well. Have you spent any time in Spain? My husband and I are Canadians (from Orangeville) who recently retired and moved to Spain and we are loving it. So much history to explore and so many opportunities to easily travel around Europe (as you would know). Your plans sound amazing!
We have visited Seville from Portugal and on cruise ships 🚢🙂☕️
Hi Tina and Norm! I think you have a great set of plans for 2025. Especially love your trip to Ecuador and Galapagos. I loved my trip to Madeira and I do not think you would be disappointed in that. Don't discount any of the Canary Islands for warm weather this winter. I will be retiring in 2025 and they are near the top of my list to return to. Stay well and have a great Christmas. Cheers, Craig from Hamilton
Thanks for the tip Craig! We will add those to our list! Merry Christmas and we wish you a great retirement year ahead 🍻🙂🎅🎄
@@ThisIsOurRetirement Many thanks! Enjoy the winter-y Ontario weather, as you dream of sun and sand elsewhere today.
We have a cruise booked to Hawaii in April on HAL, i hope you are on that one! We would love to meet you!!
Wonderful we are looking forward to it too with HAL 🍷🚢🍻
If you get to Big Island walk the Onomea Trail and visit Akaka Falls. Also hapuna beach in Kona area
Great to hear your plans! Have a happy journey! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! John & Bev
Hi John and Bev, we wish you a wonderful Christmas with your family and safe travels in 2025, your channel is inspirational.
@@ThisIsOurRetirement Thanks so much. We were tentatively planning to be in Toronto next year and wanted to connect with you guys, but we've changed plans. One of these our paths will cross. Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas 🇺🇸🎅🎄🌺🇨🇦
I think traveling while you still have your health. I’m only 51 and my health has really taken a turn for the worse and is really limiting my travel. Do everything you can while you’re active.
Mackinac Island was a great one to explore in early summer! Merry Christmas Norm and Tina! 🙏🏼🇨🇦🥰🎄❄️☃️
Great idea Lynda we have been looking at there it does look lovely Merry Christmas 🎅🎄🍷🍻
@@ThisIsOurRetirement Traverse City and/ or Petosky towns of northern Michigan are also popular vacation areas. You could see Mackinac Island and the others in one trip!
The Empire builder is on our list too! We have done the Canadian and the Zepher. We live close to Orlando. Our daughter works at Disney. I also turn 70 this year. Have a great time on your trips.
Thanks Joan happy birthday 🥳 to you too We are hoping to find a deal on the Empire builder , let us know if you find one Cheers 🇺🇸🚂🇨🇦
During the Christmas season 2022\2023 we spend 4 weeks in Greece. The weather was wall to wall sunshine 17-19 degrees. We stayed in Athens for a Christmas (everything was open) and then rented a car and travelled around the Peloponnese. Also went a bit north to Meteora and Delphi. Unforgettable trip. We are currently doing a 5 week road trip through Andalusia, Spain and Portugal. Will be in Albufeira for New Years and then make our way back up to Lisbon before heading home mid January. We love travelling at this time of year. Less crowds, more affordable and better weather for sight seeing. Cheers and Merry Christmas.
Sounds wonderful and Merry Christmas to you too 🍷🎅🌺🍻
Merry Christmas to you both! We did the Hawaii cruise 18 years ago on NCL. Had a fantastic trip. Also did Orlando in August and yes it is stinking hot but we climatized very quickly. 🥵Safe travels.
We’ve never been to Hawaii but we are looking forward to it! Cheers 🍷🙂🌺
Looks like a very busy year for traveling for you! Interestingly, I share June's birthday ( 3 days apart) with our granddaughter! 😊 Happy holidays! All the best and stay healthy!
Happy birthdays 🥳 all around , are you going to Albufeira this winter or trying somewhere else ? Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🍻🍷
@@ThisIsOurRetirement We are in Albufeira from February 5th through 21st! We were also looking at staying in Quarteira, but didn't find the accommodations we liked. Looks like Albufeira has more options. One of our activities while in Albufeira will be a hike to Vilamoura/Quarteira along the beach, where it's possible. We visited Quarteira last February and quite liked the place with its long promenade along the ocean! After a long search we found a great (in our opinion) Airbnb accommodation in the newer condo right behind the second Pingo Doce in Albufeira. We look forward to our winter escape and already thinking about another trip to Europe in Spring. If you haven't visited Northern Spain (Asturias or Galicia), take a look at these places! We've been to Asturias 5 times and keep coming back! Mild weather, ocean, mountains, very green and excellent food! Very affordable. Cheers! Let us know how your winter vacation planning to Quarteira is going!
I wrote a lengthy reply comment and don't see it being posted. 😊 Just a short summary of what I wrote, - we are staying in Albufeira in February. And take a look at Northern Spain for your next trip ideas (Asturias and Galicia) Happy holidays! Cheers!
We know that area in Albufeira sounds nice , still looking at Quarteria seems a lot more money in March that’s when we are thinking of , we will keep looking 🇵🇹🍷🍻🍻
We will look at Northern Spain 🇪🇸🙂
After watching your train tour in March, snow 4 days on Canada Rail, we decided to do a Gate 1 trip to NZ in May 26. Thanks. ✌️
Wow, that’s great we’re so glad you enjoyed the video. 🙂☕️
Mackinac Island might be a fun place to explore. Happy travels!!!
Thanks William we had planned to drive through Michigan to Canadian Sault St Marie, will stop at Mackinac, thanks for the suggestion.
Good stuff...Mackinac Island is a special place and plan your trip to stay overnight on the the Island. Enjoy your 2025 trips.@@ThisIsOurRetirement
Will do 🍻
It may be expensive but the Grand Hotel would create special memories, however there are many, many other options.
Thanks for the tip William 🍻🇺🇸🇨🇦
I'm planning on taking the Amtrack Empire Builder too sometime in 2025, and I'm looking forward to it. Enjoy your trip, and perhaps our paths will cross.
That would be nice 🚂🙂☕️
Sounds like an amazing year! Enjoy🎉
Thanks we're hoping so! 🥂
Hi Tina and Norm, so exciting to hear you’re planning out your 2025. Just as an FYI, Italy is expecting more than double their average number of visitors through Italy starting in January 2025 throughout the year due to the 50 year jubilee that would be taking place. We were just in Rome in November and it was busy then, cannot even conceive of that many additional people travelling through Italy. You might want to hold off for another year to visit Italy. I would highly recommend Madeira Island. We visited there two years ago and absolutely love the island. Renting a car is absolutely the best way of seeing the island if that is doable for you. We stayed right in the main city Funchal. Absolutely loved our stay there. I should mention, though the only possible downside is that the island does not have beaches that you can walk along as the Algarve does, if that is important to you. It does have lots of other beautiful areas to explore. I am sure whatever you do you will enjoy it. It is always great to get away and change up the pace.
Thanks for the heads up! We will have to look into Madeira Island.
We were on a cruise in November with stops in Italy, we chose to stay on the ship when it was docked in Rome. I knew the eternal city would be crowded and many touristy sites were being cleaned, cordoned off etc getting ready for the dig do in 2025.
Thanks for sharing maybe 2026 🤔🎄
Thanks you two.. Can I ask what hotel you stayed at in Niagara Falls? Keep your awesome videos coming.
Clifton Victoria Inn , free parking , breakfast and sometimes coupon for the Casino 🎰 Jennifer 🙂🍷
I’m 69 and went on my first cruise in 11/24. I won’t rush into another cruise but will begin to travel more during the next 5 years while I still feel strong and healthy. My wife is 17 years younger than me with plans to retire early (in 3 1/2 years). The thought of spending our time doing the Lord’s work, enjoying each other and being totally free from the rat 🐀 race is soooooo exciting. I thank you for the inspiration 😊
Your welcome Mark hopefully your wife might decide to retire earlier to be with you while you are still fit enough to travel Cheers 🍻🙂
Thx for sharing your great ideas! How about VBT tours? John and I were thinking about doing the bicycling one (I think they’re electric bikes)we love Maine & being active!!
We have friends who have used this group to tour Italy.
We’re not retired yet, however trying to do some bigger trips while in our 50’s.
Merry Christmas friends 🎄
That would be cool! thanks for the suggestion Merry Christmas 🇺🇸🎅🎄🇨🇦
Hi Tina and Norm.
Wishing you a blessed and happy year ahead! 🤩 Looks adventurous and fun!
The Amazon experience should be a glorious one.
You’ve definitely put a lot of intention into the coming year and may it all be well worth it and work out according to your expectations! That’s what I wish for you both!
Wherever you go keep us tuned in, with many, many diverse videos and pictures! That way we can pretend to be travelling as well, by following your journey virtually, especially, those who can’t afford to or for health reasons can’t travel.

Thank you for sharing your plans? Have you visited Iceland? How about, Scotland to see the Military Tattoo? Viking has a nice river cruise in China. We love cruising and have taken the 18 day HAL cruise yo Hawaii. Very nice. Enjoy your travels! Merry Christmas!

Nice update for 2025. 90k !!!!!!
Thanks Christopher, the 90K really took us by surprise
We are doing a retirement reset tomorrow. After living in Florida for four years we are moving to Delaware. A bit colder but way cheaper. That extra money will be put into travel. For my husband’s 70 th birthday in 2025 we are heading to France again. Haven’t been since 2018.
That's wonderful to hear, you will have a great time back in France! 🇨🇦🇫🇷 and a lovely 70 th birthday 🥳☕️
@@mhollick63 I'm surprised that Delaware is less expensive than Florida? I do know the Florida is pricey, but I thought the East Coast would be worse? Congratulations though. It sounds like a a wonderful reset for you!
@@Savannah-ed4rv homeowners insurance in Florida $8500. In Delaware $870. Florida sales tax 7% and Delaware 0. Property tax in Florida is $7500 and Delaware $1200. There’s quite a difference.
Happy holidays! Safe travels.
Thanks! We're excited for the year ahead!☕️🙂
Sounds like a fabulous year of fun and travel! Will be interested in the HAL cruise as it is one that is on our list. Merry Christmas!!
Thanks for your comment, we are really looking forward to it too! Merry Christmas!!🎄🍷
If you visit Halifax you should go to see Shakespeare by the sea. It’s an outdoor theatre . The plays are out in by professional performers at an outdoor theatre. They provide lawn chairs and water.
Thanks for the tip Lynda 🍷🙂🌺
Thanks for sharing, wandering what kind of travel insurance you use for longer than 40 days travel.
We have a travel insurance policy that covers us for 31 days as many trips as we want in a year , after that we take a top up with Toronto Dominion Bank Teresa Cheers 🍷🙂🌺
Thanks!
Thanks so much Jack!
Way to go...would love to hear your tips for cruises
Cruises can be a great deal if you plan ahead 🏖️🙂we have lots of videos of cruises 🚢 we have done 🍷🙂
We are heading to Albufiera . I have seen your videos. Any other last minute tips?
If you are going to be there a while get a city bus pass for the Giro , also the Intercity buses go from outside the shopping centre and make a cheap day out . Enjoy 🇵🇹🍻🍷🇨🇦
When you’re seasoned, every year is a milestone birthday! Enjoy it and your travels!
We're definitely enjoying every adventure!
Have you considered Sardinia? I've read it's a wonderful place and perfect weather year round. International Living calls it the European tropical Island. Photos are gorgeous!
Thanks for the suggestion 🙂☕️
Friends did an Approach tour of Italy and loved it. Everything taken care of
Thanks for sharing ☕️🙂
August in orlando, i had a meeting thete once at that time. Its sweltering!
We know it will be hot 🥵 but making family memories 🙂☕️
We spent 3 months in Maderia from December 2023 to end of February 2024, absolutely wonderful, fantastic weather and the February Carnival is a must see. Stayed in an AB&B which was very good, close to buses etc.. Wherever you decide to go enjoy yourselves, you only get once chance at this life.
Couldn't agree more!
I've flown over Greenland a few times coming and going from Calgary to Europe on WestJet. I watched a video of the inaugural flight of Greenland airlines from Denmark to Nuuk. Greenland has always fascinated me.
There's also the ferry from Denmark?/Copenhagen? Not sure, to Iceland that looks fascinating.
We have actually done Greenland 🇬🇱 and Iceland 🇮🇸 both wonderful places would recommend both 🍻🙂🍷
Sounds like you have a great year coming up! You will melt in Orlando in August!
We are pushing the boat out this year, will be jumping a/c to a/c in Orlando! 😂😂
August in Orlando. Perfect! 🥵🥵🥵🥵
Yep ! the things we need to do Cheers 🍷🙂🍻🇺🇸🇨🇦
Haven't checked all your videos - but as for a suggestion - have you tried to see the Northern Lights?
We did try that when we went to Iceland but didn’t see them 🍻🙂
Winnipegers here who have been going to Quarteira/Vilamoura for 11 years with no regrets! We, too, love the train to travel so suggest you would probably enjoy the train trip to Churchill end of October/ beginning of November to see the polar bears as they wait to head out onto Hudson Bay. Book early or you may land on wait list for the following year.
Churchill sounds amazing, we'll have to check it out! Thanks Linda In Quarteria do you stay in a hotel or an apartment 🍷🙂🌺
In Quarteria we stay in the Dom Jose Beach Hotel. Right on the beach. Love the Prom for walking. We have also rented an apartment in Vilamoura. Apts Moura Praia.
A bit pricey but lovely. But hotel great value and lots of reasonable restaurants around. You can go half board or b&b.
@@ThisIsOurRetirement We usually stay 5 months so rent an apartment in Quarteira. We’ve been in the same one (3bed, 2bath) for 3 years now, assisted by an incredible property manager. Gracia has also found long term accommodations for many of our friends who are also returning each winter.
Thanks for sharing Maryrose 🇵🇹🍷🇨🇦☕️
That’s great Linda , any chance you can give us a contact email for Garcia , if you don’t want to do it here can you send it to us privately on our about us on our home page we have an email there . Thanks in advance 🇵🇹🍷🇨🇦
Hey norm and Tina , do u find the prices of hotels in the falls atrocious,it appears to be Vegas north
If you look Terry there are some great deals to be found Cheers 🇺🇸🍻🇨🇦
I don't know how you all do so much travel. I applaud you for the effort it takes getting to/from destinations. We just got back from a cruise and it's our first one since 2018, i did not care for the experience of flying to/from our port in Florida. I've done it before a few times but this time i was thinking, is cruising worth the hassle of flying? We also caught a bug on the cruise ship, and had vertigo for several days after the cruise. I think we will not cruise again for a few more years :o)
We are feeling the same
Did the Canadian/Rocky Mountaineer in September 2003 - Toronto, Jasper, Banff and Vancouver. Fabulous. The weather was good, throughout, as well.
Sounds great 🚂🙂☕️
Well Norm 70 is not a problem (I turned 70 last June) so for the comming year it is mainly a trip to Crete for the month of April. We found a small village in the south of the island last trip so we are booked into the sam Airbnb for the month. April is great warm, lots of wild flowers and you can swim (sea is a bit cool but sun warms you) we also rent a car. Then we are looking at the possibility of spend 3 months in France over Christmas to early spring. If it rains a bit no problem we live on Vancouver Island. Summers are home gardening as where we live is known as the "New Provence" due to the mediterranean climate. Happy Christmas and a wee dram on Hogmanay
Thanks for the tip we will look at Crete Cheers 🍻🙂🍷
Maybe go to Nova Scotia to see the Bay of Fundi. My father went there 2 or 3 times and just loved it. It’s on my bucket list ❤
We are hoping to go out East 🙂☕️
The Atlantic train trip is not at all as good as good as the Canadian. I highly recommend a road trip to Nova Scotia rather than the train. Driving on the north side of the St Lawrence to Gaspé is quite wonderful. Happy trails!
Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll add that to our list. Thank you 🙂🍷🌺
We went to Cyprus on a senior discovery tour. It was fabulous
Awesome sounds great
That’s awesome Julie glad to hear that 🍷🙂🌺
Thanks for sharing your travel plans. Be sure to book Pearl Harbor shore excursion early. Pearl Harbor is Very popular so tends to sell out early, also because of popularity it is very difficult to do on your own.
On a different note, your thoughts on “net worth” opened our eyes, giving different thoughts about future travel. One important note is travel was much easier in our 60’s than our 80’s.
Yes travel does get a little more difficult as we age but it’s still so important to keep exploring. Thanks for the tip on Pearl Harbour Cheers 🍻🙂
Go Go Going, in your Go Go years!!
Would love cruise shopping tips
Will do!
It is important to seize your time
universal studios is amazing I loved it
We have been there before
Question, have you ever done a Viking Cruise?
No we haven’t Barbara 🍷🙂🌺
I wouldn’t recommend it, they make you row and pillage😉
😂🍻😂😂
Hi…can you please provide the tour or website that is doing your amazon Galapagos trip…..thanks
We have booked with Exotica 🙂☕️
Idea - take control of your retirement. Cover the various things you did to get where you are. Your ability to travel is not an accident. Selling the house, health insurance selection, researching trips, down to one car etc.
We do take control and manage our own luck through well thought out decisions
Make a trip to Portland, Maine, would make a great 3 day vacation this summer.
We will have to add it to our list!
Hope you did a walkabout in the cemetery in Niagara falls. Except for all the drug garbage all over the ground it was interesting to get a pic of Laura Secords grave. We always do a family meetup a week before spring break with g'kids and family. Always look forward to it. You should check out the jungle/pool and courtyard at the Best Western Cairn Croft.
And don't forget about Niagara on the lakes in the summertime. The Town goes all out on the landscaping display. A favorite stop. Rent some Ebikes and bike along the wine route to the falls. The bike rental place in NOL had a pickup and delivery service for the bikes. we rented then for a week. It was a great time biking around Hamilton and the falls
Great ideas thank you we will check them out 🙂☕️
Could we ask where you purchase your travel insurance?
It was additional policy with our BMO Mastercard
Take the ferry to Manitoulin then after you're done exploring touristy Manitoulin hop off the island and take hwy 17 east toward SS Marie, but before you get there pop onto hwy 548 onto ST joseph island, completely different than manitoulin, almost no one is on the island as they are all weekend cottagers or work in SS marie. Take 548 through Richards landing down towards the government dock at sailor's encampment. drive up to I line road past sailor's encampment and up the hill next to the gilbertson mansion and then turn your car around at the top of that hill and look down the north channel and with luck they'll be a freighter in the river. Then turn around and take 548 round the entire island stopping at gilbertson pancake house to take in the view down that hill , maybe go to K line road and head to kentvale general store ..Hilton beach and then continue off the island. Head east again on 17 into the soo and maybe jump the international bridge into the US and go south into the Lower Peninsula and travel the west coast of the state until you get to Ludington and take the SS badger across lake MI to Manitowoc and then travel down to Chicago and snag a train to Seattle. .
That sounds like a great adventure - we will have to check it out! Thanks Mark 🍻🙂
You have to see Pearl Harbour in Honolulu, it is so amazing.
We thought we would but the line ups and time makes it difficult
GET THERE !!!@@ThisIsOurRetirement

The hotel you stayed at is in Kitchener?
St Jacobs 🙂☕️
@ OK. I misunderstood. Thought you were visiting Niagara Falls but staying in Kitchener for some reason. Thanks for all of the videos! Happy holidays.
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄☕️
Come to Lagos again! 😎
😂😂
a little more expensive to travel these days with the Canadian dollar being beaten like a rented mule
Very true
Many many visits to Orlando over the years. We will never go in the summer again. Even a trip in May and another in Sept were unbearably humid and hot. Please take a hand held battery fan with you and lots of frozen water bottles
Thanks for the tip 🙂
My cousin has been arranging tours to Costa Rica for 20 years at least. He does it twice a year. 2025 is sold out. We plan to go in 2026. Something to consider for you folks.
Costa Rica is on our list too! Cheers 🍻🙂
Try the ultimate Orient Express!
💰💰💰😂😂
Hi.I am a single male and subscribed. Like your channel. I especially like financial information costs, etc., but find it extremely frustrating that you do not let me know if the numbers you are explaining are for a single person or a couple, family, etc.
When we quote numbers for a trip , cruise flight etc we do say per person or an apartment per month for us both . Thanks for watching Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🍻🙂
Australia also has a trans-continental train. Of course there is trans-Siberia too, but this one has to wait until peace is restored.
Great ideas 🙂🍻🚂
Why does people from that part of the world. Never go to the lanzorte. And the other islands for winter sun. ?
Too far
@ThisIsOurRetirement but you go to Portugal. Not that far from there 1 hour. Flying. And they only have 7% vat rate on buying stuff. I fly from Ireland to lanzorte for €140 return. It's cheap
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sound is bad, too much echo. Otherwise great video!
We were in a hotel room sorry couldn’t control the echo , fun of on location 🙂☕️
Have you been to Churchill to visit the polar bears before they become extinct? I can't remember if you have.
It has been on our list forever, we really want to visit Churchill
@@ThisIsOurRetirement Its worth the visit but make sure you go at the right time of year - winter. I used to work for the Government and in the course of my job would fly to northern locations, Churchill being one. I think you would love riding on the tundra buggies in winter and seeing the bears.
Hi Tina and Norm. WAAAYY back, somewhere buried in the train archives, Valerie Pringle did a "live stream" train ride from Vancouver through to Toronto, then up to Montreal and out to Halifax. There was a camera on the train engine up front, several cameras within the train and one out the back. It was a live stream event, before "Live Streaming" ever came into being.
Wow! That sounds like it would have been an amazing journey 🚂 especially doing a livestream, if we do the Ocean train 🚂 we will have gone all across Canada 🇨🇦 Cheers 🍷🙂🌺
@@ThisIsOurRetirement I'm sure if you look up Valerie Pringle either here on YT or I think CTV, back in the day, the show IS archived somewhere for viewing, but you need to know where to look for it.
BTW. Have you ever done a piece on travel insurance?
I’m a Leo as well (August 7). They rock.
We have talked a lot about travel insurance, we think it’s so important to have , ours is a yearly policy with BMO and covers us up to 31 days Cheers 🍷🙂🍻
Australia
We spent a little time there after a cruise 🚢 🇦🇺☕️🇨🇦
Can ... Can I come with? ... oh ... OK ... Well have fun!
Great to hear from you Jeff Cheers 🍻🙂
Me too!!!!
All welcome 🤗
Your fortunate that money is no object for you!!
Actually we have saved really hard for years to be able to enjoy our retirement together 🌺
It’s pronounced Keeto ekwadoor.
Go to Israel! Greatest trip ever!
My suggestion: Thaiti! Bora Bora. Unforgettable trip. Kenia safari_ another great one!
It does sound good but a very long flight
