You have a very cooperative and considerate mother and it is very nice of you take your mom on the summer trip. It will be a precious memory later in your life. God bless you!
You 2 are the best towards your mom. Bless you both for your kindness. Mom will never forget your love. And what a tough cookie beating lung cancer. Mom stay healthy
Brought tears to my eyes. I took my mom to Bryce on our roadtrip. She passed away a couple years ago from lung cancer but Bryce will always have a special place in my heart. So be thankful your mama survived lung cancer and you have tge gift to do this great trip with her. Love your Mom!! Good for her doing her first camping trip with you in her 70’s!!! I hope this is the first of many journeys with your mom.
Your mom is not only adorable, but she is a warrior. What a wonderful trip to take her on. Tight space and adding another person and a big dog makes it even smaller. But the memories you all will make will be so worth it. Thanks for sharing.
Absolute best memories! I’m so glad you guys are getting to do this together. We moved my momma in with us last year after my father passed and due to her health issues. We are awaiting our EKKO delivery to take her camping and traveling with us!
Gosh your mum is such a beautiful woman. Enjoy every moment with her, be patient and just see the world through your mums eyes on this trip. If sleeping is an issue, you and Kate could get a pop up tent perhaps.
Brother I have to say you are my HERO! Your Mom will never forget. Hello mom, you are a champ going out there to have fun camping, may God continue to Bless you.
I would give anything to still have my mom and have the opportunity to have this wonderful adventure with her. I hope that you all have the most fantastic adventure with memories that will last forever!
What an awesome gift to give your mom! God Bless you all! P.S. Kate...you are an angel in disguise! The amount of patience and kindness you have for your mother-in-law is amazing! :)
My mom went on her first and last camping trip when she was a small child of about 6 or 7 years old. Oregon to Wisconsin to visit relatives and back. Slept in a lot of barns and never wanted to camp again. My dad probably had enough camping in the South Pacific during world war 2. I was in my late 30's when some friends convinced me to try it... and I loved it. 3 cheers for your mom!
You guys are awesome for taking your mom on this trip! And, your mom is awesome for being open-minded and excited to take a trip like this. Great Video:) Hello Mom!
This series really has the potential to be a hilarious comedy family drama - those moments where things are getting on your nerves could be made out to be really funny.
What a treat to see the Russos traveling Utah in a camper van. I feel a sudden wave of nostalgia! Mom is a trooper, she did great for her first week on the road!
Joe, what a wonderful thing for you and Kait to do with your, Mom. You are creating memories that will be cherished for the rest of your lives. That scenery was breathtaking. We visited those canyons and Arches and we missed so much. It brought back memories and I got to enjoy scenes we missed. Have a wonderful and safe trip together.
“Mom,” you are so comfortable in front of the camera!!! I love the way you chime in with your great advice. You are also my hero for making the trek through arches on a very hot day, at a high elevation, with one lung! You’re from that generation of women that know how to get through challenging situations with grace. Consider me your first UA-cam fan lol. ❤️
Hi to Mom! What an amazing trip to do at 76. Well, almost 76. Glad things are working out so far. Enjoy the pics and the memories that will last a lifetime. 💕 -Aimee
My parents instilled my love of camping. They managed to take 6 kids backpacking. They bought a truck camper in their 60’s. When they were in their mid 80’s my husband and I started to plan the trip’s so they just had to show up. On one trip I watched my 90 year old Mom climb up into the overscan bed and had the realization that she would probably need to crawl down during the night to go to the bathroom 🤦♀️. Since then we have been going to a beautiful rustic resort at a high Mt. Lake. 2020 & 2021 with COVID-19 ate the first years they haven’t gotten out into the wilderness. This summer we are doing the Oregon coast, but if the stars align, next summer at a mountain cabin, (they will be 95 & 98).
Dear team russos, can I just say how much I love love what promises to be a wonderful summer adventure! That you shared all of it in this leg of the journey, the amazing and the frustrating says much about you individually and as a family. I wish you continued laughter and awe and thank you for taking us along for the ride. My very fondest memories are from road trips my parents took us on as children and especially when i was able to later return that incredible favor. Ps, my mother also had lung cancer and lost most of a lung. That your mom made a trek at altitude is a go big kudos!
I have been looking forward to this second episode since seeing the first! So great you are doing this together. As a 63-year-old mom, I would fall down dead if my son ever wanted to do something like this. (But I'm the camper, he's not....) Great series!
Wow!! My husband and I travel a lot with my dad in our class C coach! Kudos to you both, Kait and Joe for bringing Mom with you! Mom, enjoy the journey!! Can't wait to see the rest of the trip!
Hello Mom Russo! Glad you enjoyed Utah and your first boondock experience. You’re in the Rolls Royce of Storyteller’s too! Comfort and style on the road. Thank god for that Volta system. See you next episode. 🥰
Remember, when you get “frustrated”, this is a one time thing, its for a short tume, and you’re capable of stretching and relaxing. Sounds like it will be a fun trip. Don’t over-extend, keep your deadlines for visits flexible. The more you each enjoy yourselves, the better the trip will be for all of you!
Awwww...Mr. Russo getting a little frisky..🤣🤣.. Don't worry it will be over soon and you and Kate can have your time together....beautiful thing taking mom on a trip...you'll appreciate this time with your mom one day. Remember " always live like today is your last day" because one day you'll be right.
1400 steps just to the restroom. That's enough exercise for the day 😂. Arches National Park looks awesome! It's like your own version of "Up" complete with spunky senior citizen and very cute Dug 😉
Thank you for sharing a little bit of your vacation with us. We really enjoyed seeing Charlie and your mom. We did miss seeing Kate as much, but watching your mom's enthusiasm and her can do attitude blessed us and brought smiles to our faces. She did a great job in the high altitude 😀 blessings to you all. Praying for a blessed rest of your trip with you all protected and staying safe... Jim and Gina
I would suggest you pick up a tent and you and Kate sleep when possible in the tent, let mom have the bed and toilet at night. This will give you all space and make her evenings more comfortable. Just a thought 😉. Plus you can dry camp easier.
Hey! You passed Roomba ⚫ Stadium in Las Vegas where the Raiders play. Glad to see your mother & mother in law seeing the country!! She's so happy😊 Charlie too of course.
I have to echo the same sentiments as many others regarding Kate. She is such a generous, loving, giving and kind person in general. But, giving her spot to your mom and basically “taking a back seat” literally and figuratively, while cooking and cleaning and organizing and taking great care of Charlie, it’s all just amazing! I wish we could give her a special award for being the best daughter in law and wife and host and, well, you get my point. BRAVO Kate! You’re a one in a million and I am so impressed with you. More than ever, and that’s saying a lot! 💕🤗🌼🥂🎖🏵
How sweet to make this trip together. You guys should rotate sitting in the back seat and make it the chill seat, where you don't talk and participate as much. Went on an off grid road trip for 3 weeks with 6 guys and me the woman. We used the back seat as the chill space and rotated every day or two as needed. Worked great. It did help that you could not hear everyone up front very well when back there. Safe and happy travels to you all.
Hello Kate and Joe, You are good people. At times it will be inconvenient or even painful, but you will look back on this and remember how wonderful this time was with your mom. At this point I couldn't do it with my mother-in-law, but you give me hope. Hi to mom, hope the three of you are having a wonderful adventure. Ben and Sue From Nova Scotia
Joe, Kait, and Mom have a happy adventure together and fond memories. What helped my mom adjust to her first week long trip with us in 30 years, was having the conveniences your camper offers and being able to bring her dog and help out sometimes around the kitchen. Enjoy the oasis from your normal day to day and go do things with a new perspective.
Any trip you've got your Mom with you, that is always the best!!! Glad you guys had a wonderful time together. Having a family pet with you is "icing on the cake". LOL!!!! Love your videos. Thank you for sharing. As always, take care and be safe. God bless.
Very challenging to say the least especially when in a small space that's made for only 2 & maybe a small dog, who doesn't have many needs or opinions. What a great gesture and experience though🚐👨🦲👩🧓🐕
Mama Russo you are such a trooper!! You played one of my favorite songs, “What a Wonderful World”, perfect for your launch. It is a very nice looking camper. I love the table between the front seats. 🍷 Happy trails!

Thank you, Kirby
Way to go mom!!! Thanks guys for doing this for her!! You all ROCK!!!
Kate is the nicest daughter-in-law ever!
She, Kate, is the truly hero. Even the official cook? Omg!
You 2 are the best towards your mom. Bless you both for your kindness. Mom will never forget your love. And what a tough cookie beating lung cancer. Mom stay healthy
I was thinking the same thing. So sweet.
God bless Kate. She is doing the work without complaint. Mom is also a pleasure.
Kait is wonderful to everyone; a special lady
At my age the trips to the bathroom would be my major concern too.
😂😂😂 Yep!!!
I hear you there!
LOL! I hear you. Nothing that a panty liner, head lamp and a pair of flip flops won't take care of!
A bathroom in the van is the BESTEST for just this!
Cherish this adventure as these memories will be priceless.
We will!

I don't even have to watch this for a thumbs up..it's automatic when it's Mom in a camper van!
Brother I have to say you are my HERO! Your Mom will never forget. Hello mom, you are a champ going out there to have fun camping, may God continue to Bless you.
Your mother has a wonderful spirit. I admire her pluck. Kait is an absolute gem! Hang in there Joe. I wish my mom was still with me.
Condolences, George 👍
Thanks, George. I too wish my mom were with me but I'm so grateful to have Kait and Joe
AWESOME !!!!!! Howdy Mom Russo !!!!! Enjoy this beautiful SPECIAL time with each other. ❤️
Thank you!
One of the best memories that my mom cherished was a one month RV trip I took her throughout southern Europe. She talked about it for 12 years
That sounds like fun!
Your mom makes me smile….you two are doing something very special for your mom.
I would give anything to still have my mom and have the opportunity to have this wonderful adventure with her. I hope that you all have the most fantastic adventure with memories that will last forever!
Thank you - it’s very special for all of us
This will be a trip for your mom to remember. She seems to be enjoying herself so far..
Big hug to your adorable Mom. I lost my mom years back-I wish I could have treated her to something like this. Enjoy!
Your Mom is a trooper, good for her - 75 years young.
Your mother is a great sport… But absolutely 100% so is your wife! I enjoy seeing both of them.
That they are…and then there’s me 😂
Kate deserved a lot of credit!
What an awesome gift to give your mom! God Bless you all! P.S. Kate...you are an angel in disguise! The amount of patience and kindness you have for your mother-in-law is amazing! :)
Thank you Debbie
Loved how you normalized your frustrations of living in close proximity with your mother. This will bring you all closer.
My mom went on her first and last camping trip when she was a small child of about 6 or 7 years old. Oregon to Wisconsin to visit relatives and back. Slept in a lot of barns and never wanted to camp again. My dad probably had enough camping in the South Pacific during world war 2. Mom’s doing great! We are a retired couple and we each have our health issues...like your mom, we do as much as we can and don’t sweat what we can’t.
Exactly!

God bless her. Hope she gets to enjoy this adventure.
All of you have fun while I adore Charley!!! He loves his Mom!💕🇺🇸My alarm is set to "What a wonderful world"
You and your mom share the same smile and Kate is the best wife and daughter in law ever to take care the family.

Mom picked a great first song. What great memories. And you gotta love Charlie. ❤️
Your mom is such a trooper! My late mom was high-maintenance (bless her soul) and that is us staying at a resort. 😂✌️🇨🇦

DeeDee, you are so kind. Thank you
Wow! I admire your mom! With her age, her past medical condition, the altitude, she is still strong and resilient! An adventure of a lifetime!
Very challenging to say the least especially when in a small space that's made for only 2 & maybe a small dog, who doesn't have many needs or opinions. What a great gesture and experience though🚐👨🦲👩🧓🐕
The space is made for a family of four so it’s working out well.
You guys are so blessed. I wish I was able to take my Mom and Dad, but unfortunately they have passed.
Ah I’m sorry to hear that

This is classic. Kudo's to all of you and filming this wonderful (and comical) experience. Not something many people could do!
Mama Russo you are such a trooper!! You played one of my favorite songs, “What a Wonderful World”, perfect for your launch. It is a very nice looking camper. I love the table between the front seats. 🍷 Happy trails!
