The World's Best Off-Grid Inverter - And It's Australian-Made.

We visit Selectronic's Melbourne factory where Lindsay Hart, who has lived off-grid since 1994, shows us why their SP Pro inverter is highly regarded by serious off-gridders (and Finn). Some very useful tips on solar battery inverter selection in this video!
When you go off-grid you can't afford downtime - so please do it properly says Lindsay. Use a battery inverter that has full control over real and reactive current .
Look at the true continuous 24/7 output power of the inverter - don't be misled by a 30 minute or VA rating. Also look at the continuous charging current, and the peak current - will it handle the current spike when your big loads like air conditioners or welders start up?
The SP Pro example in the video has 7.5 kW continuous output power, 11.25 kW for 30 mins and a staggering 18 kW peak for 30 seconds. That's some serious grunt and means you need a battery that can supply the current.
