- guys - you know me so well at this point. you're right. you were RIGHT. I'm already loving this show and it's only episode one. I'm going to become so attached to Ted, I fear. his energy is the most immaculate energy of anyone ever. the genuine friendly vibes but also the honesty that pokes out in his humor. he's the best!! I'm loving Nathan and Keely as well so far! I'm so intrigued by Rebecca 🤔 I'm curious what exactly is going to unfold now that her plans have been revealed and I'm a bit stressed about them but excited to go on this journey!! 🩶

I think nobody explains what this show is about because when you try to explain it, it doesn't do it justice. This show has SO MUCH HEART, it makes you cry multiple times (because of sadness and happiness), you really care for the characters, you laugh and you get really complex stories about complex people
I can totally see this being a difficult show to really grasp in an explanation of it so you make a great point!! I’m already attached to these characters! 🩶

The thing about this series is that, on paper, a summary sounds like the most trite 80's sitcom. But then you see the acting and the writing and the characters and you fall in love.

I disagree; there are better-written shows; I don't even have it in the top 15 on my list, but Ted Lasso is amazing, but analyzing acting, writing, cinematography, etc., it's not up there with other shows.

A bit of 'background'..when NBC first got the rights in the US to show English Premiere League soccer, they wanted to create some hype. Jason Sudeikis had been on "Saturday Night Live", and was familiar to American audiences. Created a few promotional videos about a US "American football" coach taking a job as a manager on an EPL club. Can't recall all the specifics, but Jason and an old buddy of his he'd done improv with in Amsterdam (Brendan Hunt, who plays "Coach Beard"..Hunt fell in love with soccer in Amsterdam) ended up with a producer who said, "This could be a series!!" many years later on. It worked. Oh, you're in for an epic ride!

There’s a good reason Ted Lasso is still in Apple + top 3 streamed shows over a year after it’s finished. Jason Sudekis did SNL a for years. Has been in both Horrible Bosses films.
I’m loving him as an actor so I’m totally going to look into some other things that he’s done! 🩶

Your hair reminds me of the 1995 Pride and Prejudice adaptation. If you haven't seen it, please consider reacting to it! Not only is it my favorite adaptation of all time, but there's only one or two reactions to it on youtube, while there's dozens to the 2005 version, which I can't stand.

@@ryannrodkey5669 Cool! Btw, in case it wasn't clear, it's my favorite screen adaptation of any book, not just of Pride and Prejudice. The 1995 movie adaptation of Sense and Sensibility is also great, if you want a less intimidating introduction to Jane Austen than a six-hour mini-series.
