These combos are great! Thank you for the detailed explanations of some of the air combos. I couldn't figure out why acrobatics hitting both times against the character I was training against. I figured it was character specific but this guide is very nicely done. Thank you! Now to go practice some combos.
I really like your videos, especially the Duel Phase Combos. In the video, it says the the soft bounce work on specific characters and I was wondering if you have a list of those characters by chance
I have a combo that i found alone after trying some moves in the Training, that you're not using :D The combo is on duel phase: 4Y, Y, Y, 5A, 5A, A. An Y can be put before the Air Grab, but the moves of decidueye after the Y to make the grab have a very low speed so i do not recommend it, it's easily counterable. Also, an X or an Y, X can be used instead of A if you're afraid of your ennemy countering the grab. The damages are a very bit shorter but it make and instant Phase change, then the shock make your ennemy fly against a wall and force the "auto middle return" of him, so you can cancel every healing from your ennemy.
Was that a 29-hit combo I saw before the phase shift? I've been playing mostly Decidueye since I got DX, he's super fun. I can't say I've come up with combos nearly as intricate as these, but it's a work in progress. Definitely gonna keep practicing with him. Also in case you didn't realize, the end screen kinda covers some of the text at the bottom.
Acrobatics increases the hit counter by a lot, but it only counts as "1 Hit" in the true Phase Shift counter. You can see this effect during Mewtwo's Telekinesis, which shows 69 hits for the viewer, yet no Phase Shift happens. Thanks for letting me know about the end cards! I wasn't aware of that and moved it further later in the video.
Ah, I didn't know that about Acrobatics or Telekinesis, I don't play Mewtwo and I guess I haven't payed attention to the hit counter when I get hit with that move.
Picture a keyboard number pad, or a telephone. Looks like: 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 It follows that system, so that 8 is up, 6 is forward, 4 is backward, and 2 is down. (1, 3, 7, and 9, are used, but less important, for the most part)
That combo at 1:38, everytime I do ss. Yx it always causes the phase shift because of that second hit. It’s it only just for the corner? Or do I gotta be fast with it?
El combo de 2:22 lo intenté con Suicune y me costaba muchísimo. Lo intento con Scizor como en el vídeo y me sale dos veces seguidas 🤣 Algo me dice que el Pokémon rival influye en la hit box
Sean Medina of you mean up in the top left corner, that's numpad notation. The numbers correspond to directions on the numpad for a keyboard on its right side. 5 is neutral, 6=forward, 4=back and 8&2=up and down. You just flip the numpad with the character as they switch sides.
Can someone explain the inputs to me, I'm kinda lost at what some of them mean, I assume AYX is referring to the controller buttons but what about everything thing else
The inputs are shown in what’s known as “numpad notation”. Basically it represents directional presses with buttons on a number pad. 5 refers to your stick in a neutral position, while 6 is forward, 4 is back, 2 is down, etc. Pretty much almost every fighting game uses this notation to describe combos and certain moves.
Literally the only person who put inputs in his videos for decidueye! keep it up man you got my sub!
Wow, I didn't subscribe for combos with more than 21 hits. Bring back the old content.
Only joking of course. Keep it up guys.

Why do you have only 511 subs.... this channel is godsend lol
0:13 i cant land last 5Y. Help appreciated

Your safe bets would be on Scizor and Mewtwos. Other characters can work, but they're not as consistent.
I tried doing the combo at around 1:15 "Standard crumple and pierce" but the phase shifts after the first 6A. Am I just doing something wrong?
Likely that you aren't cancelling into Razor Leaf in time. 6AA has only 2PSP whereas 6A has 4.
MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED

I'm sorry, I'm new at this, but what do the numbers mean?
Picture a keyboard number pad, or a telephone.
Looks like:
7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3

iFrame Nether Thank you! And also, what does !w and j.y mean?
jc2876 W! means a wallsplat happens (when they stay get splatted on the wall)
j before any input means it's an aerial
iFrame Nether Oh, ok! Thanks again!
No problem ^-^

mega tyranitar that’s because that combo is character specific I think because some character don’t get hit by the second hit of SS.YX
Jbaier6 oh ok thanks 😊😊

Lo intento con Scizor como en el vídeo y me sale dos veces seguidas 🤣
Algo me dice que el Pokémon rival influye en la hit box
What buttons do I press for ss
Just press shield button (in general, it is R button) in the air, or after a mini combo like 5X, X or 8Y.
I wish I understood the numbers part. Thats the only thing I find confusing. Can anyone explain?

I might be a little late but just in casei can help somebody else, not just you:
This is where you have to aim the directional pad
7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3
*Mossyness intensifies*
