After a fully charged counter attack against certain characters you can get a 2Y after the 2X, and then an immediate j.9Y, and standard aerial follow-ups ensue from there. I haven't tested it against the whole cast, I only know it works against Lucario and not against Croagunk. It scales so much that you're not gonna get a whole lot more damage off of it unless it ends with a wall splat, but I thought it was worth sharing.
Or a fully charged CA and then follow up with 4yy and then you can follow up with j.9y and do the rest of the combo from there. But it only works on small characters.
I Bought A Jeep I have a similar problem as you. While there may be a way to cancel midway through that attack, it may be that croagunk was nerfed, making that no longer viable. I might also just be trash
If you don't mind me asking, what does the numbers and letters mean?
5 років тому+1
Letters refer to the button inputs you have to make. (Other letters: j stands for 'jumping' dl stands for 'delay' W stands for... Whiff? Whiff means missing an attack) Numbers are the numpad notation and assume your character is facing right. 789 456 123 For example: 5 is neutral position, 2 is crouch, 4 is back
this video doesn't mention it. but whenever you land after hitting an aerial move (like jx or his air swims) you need to cancel with a normal j.y and you'll fall to the ground with normal landing lag tldr: press y after j.x (and j.3y)
These combos are great! Definitely learned some stuff I didn't even know went together!
Thanks for the notation! His aerial combos take some getting used to, but they seem to be bread and butter for top Croagunk players.

After a month of attempting to do the long combo I can confirm it’s too hard to feasibly do in a match, my life is pain
What even are those hitboxes at 1:46?
Right at 0:14 how do you use j.x and fall so fast. I keep going past the opponent and messing the combo up

@@HogFlamboli yeah after asking in the gunkcord you just hit r to cancel it
@@yakobtsv you can cancel j.X into j.Y. When you do this croagunk immediately begins falling and he can make his next move sooner.
Neat
Definitely learned some new tricks here

@ bit late but the !w means that the opponent would have just hit the wall
@@yakobtsv thank you
Numbers are for the directions on a joystick:
789
456
123- five meaning your not moving
0:07-0:20 i am certain this combo exists only to style on your opponent
This is his bread and butter, there's an even harder one for more dmg lmao
I like this !
Swim loops are pain
No perfect cancel combos?
How do you cancel croagunk's Jx? when I do manage to land the first part I always overshoot

This is abuse...
These combos. Are. Abuse. Lol
Underused but not underplayed... i guess
