I am so happy that influencers, students and co-founders are slowly understanding the value of good Design! I hope more and more people explore UX and try to recognise the beauty of good design!
wait wtf Harish is one of the finest carnatic singer in the malayalm industry, shocked to know he is a product designer as well..!!!Such a multitalented person.
Thank you so much for this... as a UX designer myself, getting to know so many insights and understanding Harish's Thought process was really amazing! Love you Tanmay for these!
This podcast can easily be a go-to guide for people who are either starting out their UX journey or feeling short of ideas and approaches to create something new!
As a designer myself, this podcast gives me so much joy to watch. Design as a topic should be more mainstream. Discussing why certain things work and some don't, is the best orientation one can have in design. 👌✨ Design sits in between everything india is going to dominate, i.e Media, Product & Creative Solutioning
Indian psychology works on appeal factor. Whenever you launch something new, making it successful is literally a cakewalk as long as the design is sorted.
The story behind CRED’s logo was so interesting. The fact that the designer got it right in the very first go is absolutely fascinating! CRED as a product is so terrific that people now legit have being eligible for it on their bucket list!
It is fascinating to know that there is this two parallel world and one world dont know the other exist. A world who identify harish as a talented singer. Another world where harish is a incredible UX designer.Talent impersonated.
I’m a HUGE fan of Harish as the lead singer of the band AGAM! Little did I know that he created CRED! Kudos to you Harish!! The „Swans of Saraswati“ are looking upon you 😉!!
It's always lovely to hear Harish. I remember he caused quite a stir and a lot of fan girling when he adressed the students at NID's Bangalore campus. I'm a musician and UX Designer in the crypto, blockchain space myself and some of the unpopular, non-designerly opinions that harish holds are exactly why he's a force to bring about a change in design thinking at large. Leaving a little nugget of wisdom he shared with us years ago: "Prioritise visual delight over function."
Learning design as a 18 year old self, this was such a fantastic episode. Listening to Harish's thought process behind design and it psychology was just brilliant.
This goes beyond what he explained his work for CRED was. It’s just beautiful how we understand how a mind works and how a small part called design, UX or art is taken by a human’s mind and use it in an app. It just fascinates me how the use of such an atomic observations has such a great impact in the result.
So finally influencers are also having a session on UI/UX design that's I personally I wanted from the years. Thanks tanmay for bringing the design legends on your podcast.
Harish is so brilliantly eloquent to express his design philosophy and tastes, it blown my mind! Brilliant designers are also good with words, specially, when they speak -- I think it's a natural pattern. What a gem of an interview, thanks Tanmay and Akshay.
Thank you Tanmay sir , it was enlightening learning experience , as a UX designer ,it was insightful , something I could never have got access to as a beginner. THANK YOU BHAI ❤️
One can see how much Harish loves perfection nd cinematography by just the quality of camera nd colour grading that has been done. Such a contrast from the other two😂
Hey Tanmay thank you for bringing Harish on the channel.🙌 I am also a big fan of Harish's singing ♥️ I initially thought that he would be a full time singer...
Brilliant interview Tanmay! The questions and answers were really insightful. Also it was heartwarming to see design being discussed outside of design communities. Your knowledge outside comedy from finance to startup’s and beyond is admirable!
loved the passion, harish talked about design....it simply reflects in cred's design too...when you make something with love and passion...it reflects. great podcast.
This episode is loved by more designers than other people. A lots of things went above my head but I'm gonna be rewatching this again and again. Thanks Tanmay for bringing this to us.
I was fascinated by Harish sir energy the whole time. Being a UX person this was really insightful and fun to watch. Thanks Tanmay for bringing this up.🙌🏻
Wow ... best 48 minutes well spent on youtube. Brings me so much joy to learn about the design process behind CRED. Kudos to Tanmay for such an awesome interview. 👌👌👌
I understand Harish's passion for design but when he says major criticism he receives is that there is too much UI but too less UX thats bcoz they're not designing for everyone, when I say for everyone I mean it's sort of fails at many usability aspects. The app would upset a lot of colorblind people due to its heavy neumorphism. I really appreciate the fact that he is designing CRED in a way for people to explore it by themselves. I believe in solving the problem rather than revolving yourself around it until you find the solution. CRED really is my favorite app and I'd love to see more quirky and intuitive things they bring up in New updates. Great job at design boys ❤️
Never would've imagined I'd get to see such industry leaders talking about their art to inspire and encourage youngsters pursuing their niche. Thanks Tanmay bhai, love! 💛
What an amazing podcast As a UX designer and as an interaction design student, I find this content so meaningful and helpful. Thanks for the podcast Also, It is so good to have some validation on - Design is Art, that was well articulated Harish. Because I was a visual designer before and I also always believed Visual Design affects usability a lot and intent matters the most. That is what makes Design Invisible.
This was such a liberal and democratic way to look at the design. People criticizing Cred on the basis of just usability probably forgot the art of retention. This was fantastic. Thanks for so many amazing insights Harish and thanks for bringing him in Tanmay.
Great talk with some very valid and interesting insights! UX as a career in India still needs to scale a lot and it could bring in amazing solutions to various aspects of everyone's lives!
This interview was sooooo good and insightful!!! I always thought there's something special about CRED's design. I used to open the app just to feel Premium.. Now I understand what went behind making me feel like that
I was literally cribbing yesterday about no search bar in the cred store :/ looks like I got my answer, and he's right! I did explore the whole store and discovered products that I need. Since the product catalogue was less, it was fine, but when there will be more products on the store I hope they include a search bar.
The fact: the techies outside kerala may not know,.. Depth of talent of harish as a carnatic vocalist,.. And people of kerala may not know the depth of talent in design thinking 🙂

There is an Apple-like vision when Steve Jobs started it, which is visible in the Cred's approach... Love it!
I love how Cred implements neumorphism in their app.
The way harish sir explaining aspects of design this 48 minutes flying so seamless.
Thankyou krunal sir 🤘
29:08 Great insight on the association of the colour black with anything premium. Limos, Uber, Suits etc. operated on the same principle.
the quality on this is insanely top notch. thanks for doing this episode.

Not only a payment app, Cred is one of my most favourite apps across different categories. Feels like gliding while using the app. Great work!
This was incredible. Harish blew me away with his wisdom. What a lovely conversation.

kept waiting for Tanmay to request Harish to sing 2 lines., Such a brilliant Talent.

Good episode. The only problem with Neomorphism is accessibility.
This is a fantastic podcast you guys! Keep churning out more such stuff
I'll be disappointed if Tanmay didn't ask Harish to sing a few lines 🥲
As a designer, I feel jealous of the people working under the leadership of Harish. His perspective of design amazes me.
This episode is so insightful for aspiring designers! Thank you @Tanmay!
I'm genuinely so happy to see a designer in this podcast, made my day! To more design podcasts🥂
Really enjoyed the podcast. As a PM, got to learn something. Though I didn’t agree with some of the philosophy right away, I need time to absorb it.
Respect for Harish gone up immense thanks Harish

Thanks for this Tanmay, super cool content, wish to see more of this. Kudos
Thanks for taking design to mainstream media, Tanmay.
When I first used cred, I didn't know it was an Indian app. The design was so futuristic it was hard to believe.
