PTX's live Vevo live version came out yesterday. PTX'S "O Holy Night" is really good and fair warning to you, it'll break you. Great comments, see you soon.
If you think this showed their maturity and growth just wait until you view their new O Holy Night. Pentatonix 2.0. Be prepared to be speechless. They were all absolutely amazing but Kirsten is just stunning.
I love this mash up: “Christmas Time is Here” from Charlie Brown’s Christmas/“Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka. It’s the Christmas song we didn’t we didn’t know we needed. I love the Live Version. It gives you the early “Baby” PTX vibes.
They dropped a Christmas Album... Please Santa Please an original... featuring Kirstie is my new favorite Christmas song... They also did Seal's A Kiss from a Rose. Nothing will prepare you for this performance, on Vivo Live. (It has SNOW in the lyrics... therefore theu chose it for the new Album. Its sheer brilliance... and Kevin's Cello-boxing is out of this world!
Who would think to put these 2 songs together??? PTX of course. I thought that transition from Mitch to Kirstie was a perfect handoff. So great. And the combo of Scott and Mitch at the end is just heavenly - brings back my urge for more Superfruit.
Watching the Sing-Off is always such a revelation because they were so young and new but the essence of Pentatonix was right there from the very beginning. I’m with you, though, about their growth and maturity. The power and passion and confidence they have shown since the pandemic, particularly, is amazing. And this one is like a whisper, a lullaby to send you off to dreamland with no burdens whatsoever. I love how much you love them, thanks for the reaction. Peace …
This is one of my favorites by them!! Their ability to merge 2 songs together that you would never think about joining is spectacular!! And it’s just Beautiful!! Love your reactions and analysis!! 🎄♥️🎄
What a STELLAR AND INSIGHTFUL REACTION to this wonderful performance! You captured and verbalized so much of what I have sensed since they began so many years ago. THANK YOU! This new album with all new songs is so exciting.
Pentatonix has released a Christmas EP or album every year since 2012, but some years it's been a re-release or compilation with a few new tracks. This year it’s a compilation, "Pentatonix - The Greatest Christmas Hits", with 23 previously-released tracks and 8 new songs. The only new original song is "Please Santa Please". The other 7 new songs are covers and so far three of those have official and /or VEVO Live videos. The other four only have UA-cam audios so far. The previously-released tracks may have official videos, audios, live versions, etc. The 8 new songs are - PTX original - “Please, Santa, Please” -- has official video Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)" Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" (not a Christmas song but it mentions snow 🙂) -- has VEVO Live video Roger Miller's "Little Toy Trains", previously done by Glen Campbell and Randy Travis A mashup of "Christmas Time is Here" (from the Peanuts Christmas) and “Pure Imagination” (from Willy Wonka) -- has official and VEVO Live videos 19th century Christmas standard -- “O Holy Night"; a new version, not their 2012 arrangement. Has official video. Traditional African-American song, but with updated lyrics -- "Children Go Where I Send Thee" A "collaboration" using Elvis's voice from his recording of "O Little Town of Bethlehem"

The ending of “O Holy Night” is the ultimate finale, mic-drop, close the curtains, shows over to a standing ovation moment.

What you are describing in Kirstie's voice is referred to as "cry."
