My thoughts on Rocky and Moonbin's dancing skills: It's true that Moonbin's dance look more smooth but a lot of it is because of his physique. I know he has muscles and abs, but his height is the factor that balances his stature. His legs are incredibly long so it's a definite advantage when it comes to learning sea walk moves, wave or b-boying. also a reason as to why idol-recruits look for tall people bc even if they're stiff or can't dance, they'd still look good on camera with just enough training. Rocky on the other hand have thick thighs from immense dance training + workout, and is more diversed with his steps. He can b-boy, do ballet, tap dance, street dance with a bit of techno & electro dances. Maybe do even more as he's very creative and talented with choreographing. Basically, if Rocky was taller and had the same figure (maybe lessen the arm muscles even tho they look so good), he can imitate the way Moonbin dances. The only thing that Moonbin I noticed can't beat Rocky on is on actual hardcore dance stages and sharpness. Rocky has the build for that and displays more powerful yet fluid movements. He does them clean. He's never too late or early on his moves and has the best rhythm sense imo in Astro. This can easily be seen in their "Block B Nanlina" Cover. If you watch him dance, he definitely put his own style into it. I love Moonbin. Him and Rocky are my biases and I've noticed that while Moonbin has a very sly expression where he knows he looks good smiling and is a camera tease, Rocky is the type to express himself with his dances at that exact moment. His dances are very honest. Bc he's into his dance so much, his facial expressions naturally comes to be and you can tell how passionate he is. Moonbin has a natural cute face with a kitty look. Rocky is cute when he smiles and is quiet. I think the reason why people like me prefers Rocky's dance so much is bc his dances show the real him. His dance speaks for him when no words can escape his lips. Just a genuine kid who wants to show people what he can do. Moonbin I know is passionate too, but I feel like he lacks the self-confidence and gradually wants to mix himself with singing, acting and other things. Rocky, even if he raps mostly and sometimes sing, will definitely pick dance over any of them any day. I think that's the issue with Moonbin. He is swayed by other things besides dancing. So when I see him, I think, "Ah, he's really good. You can tell he loves dancing." But it isn't enough to deeply connect with me. With Rocky, I'm speechless. There's just so many things he's trying to tell and show. I'm a dancer and Rocky is young, but even I know I can't win over this kid's determination. I'm seriously anticipating for his future dance activities. I just know it'll blow my mind.

2 years late but I agree with this, I have been an AROHA since 2016 but since Sanha is my bias, even though I prefer Rocky's dancing than Moonbin too, I didn't pay attention to details of how Rocky move his body with music but these days, as I closely look to his movements, especially in his performances in dance war (final round), I just can't stop myself being surprised on how he move his body, on how sharp but also clean his movements are... It's like how artist draw their masterpiece, Rocky just move his body with the music with his own style, more detailed movements and what the choreography needs. He interprets the music very well with his solo parts... Its just perfect...

Sometimes I still think about how he really would've given Astro that extra stability to contrast their overall playful nature.
