I love good, active, aggressive grappling. I don’t love when a guy takes someone down and just pins him with no submission threats or aggressive striking or major positional changes and calls that a solid, good offensive attack. Thats what you do when you’re holding a robber for the cops 🤣.
I have no issues with the grappling aspects of MMA, for example Darren Elkins vs Tristen Connelly was a great fight, 2 rounds of a straight chess match, active grappling/position changes/submission attempts, then a 3rd round of striking for 3 mins and grappling for 2, it was fun exciting and active. Same with most Brandon Royval fights against guys with 50x better wrestling defense/scrambles…

Don't you know what is MMA? Don't just focus on one aspect of MMA. Wrestling is a part of MMA. If you like only striking, UFC is not for you. Look somewhere else.

Mixed Martial Arts, outwrestled, outsmarted, outstriked, Merab did 55 sig strikes to head compared to O'Malleys 22, Merab did 23 sig strikes to the legs compared to O'Malleys 2. Total strikes including non significant ones Merab 214, O'Malley 49. Just because the fighter shows no expression on the face doesn't mean they didn't get damaged. To have an MMA channel and be this uneducated about the sport is just embarrassing. If you like dumb hail mary fist swinging then watch amateur bare knuckle.

Merab is a great fighter, but this was far from his most exciting fight. His War with Henry was a super fun fight to watch. Anyone who thought Sean had a good style against Merab was a fool. A pressure ground fighter, this was such an easy call. Merab also has a super fun personality outside the cage. This is such a bad take. Merab is great, do you also hate GSP? It's pure domination in a safe style.

I'm interested in watching fights, not wrestling matches. The majority of the time when these wrestle heavy "fighters" in the UFC have matches and win, just look at both fighters faces after 25 minutes then tell me it was a fight and not a wrestling match. 25 minutes and they look about as fresh as they came in. Not all wrestle heavy "fighters" are the same, its obviously when they have heavy ground and pound and go for finishes vs dry humping their way to a decision win. Lame shit
