Spain were good but if had nothing to do with Spain. Italy played the exact same way against Albania in the 2nd half, Italy refused to play. It didnt help that starting tortoise Jorginho was a stupid idea and Scamaca was pure garbage. Everg played over hit every easy pass ir failed to control the ball. Most of that was unforced.

Inter won Scudetto playing three at the back Atalanta won Europa League playing 3 at the back 7 of the 10 dmen play 3 at the back at club level We couldn’t eliminate the width and Williams and yamal killed us Putting barella on Rodri was a joke We probably don’t win, but at least we don’t get embarrassed I see a problem in next game He changed the whole way Italy should play to benefit Calafiori and Chiesa Who blew cock Croatia created more against Spain than we did
The decision to not switch to three at the back at halftime to eliminate Spain’s width and add deeper outlets to our midfield was crazy and shows a very concerning level of judgement
I totally agree with you. Juve also plays with 3 at the back like Atalanta and Inter. Di Lorenzo & Di Marco are ineffective in a back 4. Also, Chiesa is useless as a 2nd striker. Montero switched to a 4-3-3 in the last 2 games and Chiesa scored in both games. You're Spalletti impersonation is great. All bald men over think, that's why you never see a bald coach win ever. I hope Spalletti is the exception.
I'm going to keep saying we need a revision to the line. I personally prefer a 3 defender system to control the midfield, but if it has to be a 4 defender let it be a 4-4-2. We need Scammacca and Retegui together. They're big physical boys, they can put pressure together, but both of them need finishing work and I think 2 strikers in lieu of 1 is needed when you don't have a Del Piero anymore
i think this team goes far under a pragmatic coach Conte. Spalletti wants to do a lot of idealistic things. Time to see what he does with his back against the wall
Spalletti sometime eats his bald. But keep playing di lorenzo make me convince some italy senior coaches have high subjctivity.. And FIGC loves to hire kind of coaches
What happen to your smile? You seem upset. Take that L. Italy got owned by Spain. 😂 Puts flowers on the coffin RIP 🇮🇹 You feeling that Croatian pressure? I'm not Croatian btw. Spalletti blah blah. Spalleti played the best football Napoli ever seen a year ago. Don't forget to do the math just incase if Italy loses to Croatia and Albania by some miracle gets a W vs Spain reserves Italy would be 4th. I think vs Croatia you should be able to get a win they seem old and slow. Get rid of tuci he is boring and seems on the wrong drugs. You at least sniffin the right stuff with that energy.
Jealouse? Blahahah the comment was towards Bordello. I think Italy will lose to Croatia they are bad under pressure. You saying Spain did not score... You mean GIGI was your savior. Spain made you look like Azerbaijan 😂😂 18 shots to what 3? I know what i saw.
Italy gave the game to Spain. Italy never pressured the Spanish midfield once. When Italy did get the ball, it wasn't much. The Azzurri got swallowed by red shirts. The Azzurri always had two red shirts on them or Italy would make a weak pass that got intercepted. As for Di Lorenzo, well he got owned. Williams made Di Lorenzo look like an old man out on the pitch. Italy should have attacked the Spanish players instead of standing around and watching. Another thing Italy has to stop doing is the constant lazy back pass to Donna. First, those passes are lazy and one day they'll get intercepted. Second, why not try for a long ball. BTW, Italy is playing without its two best defenders. Scalvani and Tonali.
@@haagsebluff704no hes right. Italy played the same way against Albania in the 2nc half. Scamaca beingban embarrassment standing still like a lamppost and over hitting every 3 yard pass by 20 feet had nothing to do with Spain.
Scamacca is Immobile 2.0. Scores bangers for club, can’t do anything for national team. Retegui scored what? 4 goals in his first 6 games for Italy? He didn’t deserve to get dropped. He proved he could score for Italy but everyone started jerking off when Scamacca was scoring for Atalanta.. Retegui then got axed. Shouldn’t have happened. Scamacca is a lazy bum. I would never start him for Italy even if he scored 25 goals a season for Atalanta.
Any lone striker (Scamacca, Retegui, anyone) would’ve struggled to get involved in this game without having to track back deep into his half to see the ball. Scamacca signalled to Dimarco that he wanted looping balls in at the back post and they never came. Scamacca CAN make things happen when serviced; Ciro couldn’t do that as well as Gianluca. Immobile needed thru balls to get in 1v1 with the keeper the score which is why he was never serviceable for us when we tried pumping balls his way
@@SamAdamo Decent Analysis but i think the players you choose are conducive to the style of play for the opposing opposition. Scamacca stood there like a bump in the log. Retuggie style is more favorable to the type of offence and style that Spain presents....Its all about styles and Spalletti dropped the ball on this one. Wonderful podcast bty
@@manitheman0806 thanks mate. See the Retegui point. Just personally don’t view them as being that different. I see the being similar in terms of where they wind up on the pitch, I kind of view the difference between them being more in regards to how they play within the box. Maybe Retegui might have tried to get more involved. I think that Scamacca with a little service could probably make a little more of a meal of a chance where he needs to try to beat the centre back to a ball in the air or something. But it’s all kind of a moot point since that never came and the game was done now
Also Calafiori's take I dont agree. He's not your hardman like Gentile/Chiellini type but he knows how defend using his body like Nesta and Maldini have done. Hes a great talent and could be world class if he makes the right career move from Bologna. Which means stay in Italy and sign for either Juve or Inter
Idk if Spalletti over thought it. I feel its the opposite. He really expected the same team that played against Albania would do the same against Spain. The approach was fine but we should've lined up like Inter with a 3-5-2 and played Fagioli in midfield
The 2 times I remember us playing well recently were 2012 groups and 2016 Conte both playing 3-5-2. But the game broke down for us through the limitations of Frattesi Di Lorenzo and Scamacca. We need Retegui, Zaccagni & Darmian to come in. Forza Italia! 🇮🇹⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇮🇹

Probably the most experienced and decorated at club level. But fearing he cannot accept when his team are inferior and need to be pragmatic, something that even Mancini understood despite generally trying to play positive football
Guys ithas nothing to do with Spaletti. There is a reason why Mancini left the team last year. Italy is a country in downfall in many aspects , and this will reflect in our calcio and other sports. We are just not good enough. We are far from a 2006 squad with toplevel players and the future isnt looking good due to things mantioned earlier.
@@SamAdamo Nah, he left the team because he had no more trust in this group after struggling to even qualify during qualifying rounds, he just knew he wasnt going anywhere with these type of players. I mean no disrispect but you American (Italians) clearly have little knowledge about football. Do you really think it has anything to do with the type of coach thats standing there?? There’s no getting them the ball, two pivots in midfield is not reliable at the moment
Yes indeed, italian lack of physical players, they need to do some gym to get more power and aggressiveness
What did Bernardeschi do on the last Euro?
scored two crucial penalties but still a crazy take
Play fagioli and camarda

Spain are better but that’s no excuse for not being able to play like a decent cohesive team. Spalletti ideas were all wrong.
Even if they’d committed to defensive football and hitting on the counter that’d have been better, in hindsight
