A lovely compilation. His control really was masterful. Genuinely two-footed, he could spray accurate passes with either and scored some cracking long-range goals with both left and right foot [not much in the heading department though :-) ]. Even pele rated him as being a world-class player.
Always wonder what would have been if Leeds had followed Don Revie's advice on his departure ,to give the managers job to Johnny Giles. As it was, they gave it to Brian Clough
THE Leeds United great. In the 1960s and early 1970s Giles was the best midfielder in England right up there will Alan Ball and among the three of four finest players in Europe. Modern comparisons would be Pirlo, Xavi, Scholes.....that good and better. he had it all.
@@tigerarmyrule Pirlo is the closest, I think. He stroked it around and controlled a game in a similar way. I was lucky to see him play many times. He was great at making space for himself - always had time. The sign of a great player.

One of Matt Busby's biggest errors was letting Giles go Leeds.
