Amazingly helpful! I have the marathon too. Can’t wait to try it!! ❤
Love it!! Can’t wait for the updated video showing how you finished it! Great job!
Thank you!
Awesome tool, well demonstrated. :)
Great tutorial, as always! Thank you!
I’m so happy to hear it. Thank you!
Thank you, awesome work as usual!
Thanks, Will!
Gorgeous effect!! TFS
Aww thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wow!! This was very informative❤ You make it look easy 😊
I’m so glad! Xoxo!
Fabulous tutorial and it’s nice to see a demo of a different handheld rotary tool. My Dremel is great but a lighter weight one would be so much better.
Wow, sooo pretty!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you!
Hi!!! What material are you using? Is it mdf? Love how it looks when painted. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us crafters.☺
Love it
Yay! Thank you!
Thank you Emily!
Great tool form factor, I've always had a few dremels in weekly use for the last 30+ years.......unfortunately I abhor their "new" quick-lok system and accompanying proprietary supplies....this looks like a great replacement option when needed.
You should laser cut a little box for your vacuum hose to stick in the back of......even better, tapered smaller at the back to maximize the design challenge and efficiency!
Happy Thanksgiving!
That’s a great idea! Thank you for the suggestion. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Looks amazing! Did you use 1/4” wood
Looks great and now I hve to order a rotary tool:) lol
Hi Emily. What thickness of MDF did you use? It seems to be 1/4". Have you tried this on other woods or other thicknesses? I use a lot of 1/8th thick wood for "designs" on top of wood backers and was wondering if I could still use this tool to shape that. Would love to see more about using this tool.
Another fabulous tutorial for the books. Your end result is drop dead gorgeous. Well executed and fabulous. Can you please speak on the mask you’re wearing? Is it like a respirator? As a glasses wearer I’m looking for something I can wear. Thanks Emily. ♥️☺️♥️💥
Thank you, Laura. Yes it's a simple respirator. The one you see in this video is from amazon. You can find it in my Amazon store under the Safety Gear Category. I now have one that is better suited for heavy woodworking from BearWoods Supply Co. here www.bearwood.com If you use the code LASERMOM you'll get 5% off. Both Amazon and the code are affiliate links.
What's the thickness of wood that is used?
💜
Looks like a great tool to use. Do you know if you can use other brand (Dremel, etc..) accessory tools with this brand?
You can use other bits so long as you have the reducing sleeve. :)
Thank you! 😊
Emily, there’s a couple different options on their website. Would you mind posting the specific link? Thanks for always being so real. ❤
Thank you for watching. ❤️ I’m happy to link you here. What pieces are you looking for?
I’m good. I was looking for the set like what they sent you. I pieced it together. All good! Thank you! ❤
I've been using a higher end Dremel forever but the flex shaft just sucks. It's too stiff to move around easily. This solves that problem, and I love that it has a foot pedal. I may have to grab it! And yes shaping those pieces of wood instead of just gluing them together adds a level of depth that you don't get otherwise. Looks much more artistanal and hand crafted!
I was wondering about that flex shaft. I spent so much time studying rotaries for this and that one was the runner up but I kept coming back to this one. I loved the finished peice so much. It’s going to be hard not to shape things now 🤣
@@ThatMomWithALaser I love the flex shaft on the Dremel, but only compared to holding the whole tool in my hand. As a product, though, it's not meant for the kind of work someone like you or I would do with it. Not by a mile!
I just posted this on your monogram post then I realized it was a year old. What I had mentioned was that you use a sewing needle for glue removal they sell what is called a pin vice what we as Machinist use for very small holes this would hold your needle better and give you a handle.
Thank you! I pretty much use 3M for everything now. 🙈
Where do you buy your acrylic from?
www.ceruleantides.com ☺️
Looks like an amazing tool!! How loud is it? My Dremel sounds like I am at the dentist to the extreme. 😖
Lol! It’s not bad at all. However, I did use my shop vac to suck up dust so I end up wearing ear protection anyway.
Where did you get that vacuum setup?
the orange shopvac is from Home Depot
"You Betcha!"
Please how do you find these files! And how do you cut them what are the setting ?
I haven’t listed this one but I will do that this week. Usually you can find them on Etsy by searching for the topic and adding laser file to the search :)
@@ThatMomWithALaser thank you that mom with a laser lol
Where is the following video for priming and painting ?
I took me a while to get to but here it is! ua-cam.com/video/CAyxquTomqo/v-deo.html
Is this very dusty?
Indeed! That’s why I sand it with the shop vac right next to me.
