I remember when this first aired...it was all the country was talking about. They DARED to be so flamboyant during prime time and we LOVED it! "Two snaps up" became iconic from that point on. Such great writing and talent!
And "Clutch the Pearls". And "Hated It". To a super closeted gay Midwest boy, this show was like oxygen. Interesting to look back now and see the real influence and change that came from that show.
In Living Color is brilliant. They created their own genre and were not afraid to push the envelope. They helped us laugh at ourselves; gay, straight, black, crazy fireman, neighborhood gossip...they made us feel good about the crazy screwed up world we live in.
When my family came out from the Midwest to visit me in California I had them watch this show, and they looked at me like I was laughing way too hard at Men on Film. That just made it funnier though.
"Boy I hope I look that good when I'm 40..." LMFAO the shade!😂😂😂 (Ralph Macchio was 27 yrs old when Karate Kid 3 dropped, and still looked HS senior back then)
The first installment was so conservative in costume and delivery. They got more flaming as the segment gained popularity. DAG’s vest and Damon’s pink silk scarf.
"you better give me back my scarf." "don't hate me cause I'm beautiful." damon wayans and david allen grier doing their 'men on' skits was always one of the best of in living color.
This to me is the biggest compliment to the gay community I’ve ever seen, just like Damon’s portrayal of Handiman is a huge compliment to disabled guys like me. The fact that I can laugh at something I can identify with is amazing for me, and satire is the sincerest form of flattery. Even if you can’t do it now, you could do it then and they damn well did it. Thank you, Mr. Wayans, for thinking of a gimp like me in your comedy art.
A great clip and I especially liked the girls' shrieks and laughter after the lines: "Don't get mad!" and "Clutch the pearls! What a sneaky thing to do."
I don't know how David Alan Grier kept a straight face during these tapings. he NEVER broke character, but he's ABSOLUTELY hilarious and 100% spot on...for what it was. His movements, facial expressions, etc. lol wow.
I used to watch In Living Color on a regular basis, My top 2 favorite character skits were Jamie Foxx as "Wanda" and the "Men On" skits. Both skits had me rolling with tears of laughter. Although, the "Men On" skits were my number 1 favorite. Glad to know that I can see these Men On skits again here on UA-cam.
Boy this really brings me back to when comedy was free and people loved to just laugh. I am a whole gay man and was never offended by these wonderful skits, they gave me life and all these years later they still have the same impact...actually it's funnier because I missed so much while laughing!
I love it when Damon Wayans says don't get mad and (Giere oops spelling )saysyou better give me give back your scarf 😂 hilarious 😂 TV show 😂😂😂 Also and he says Glenn Close is a woman... And Damen says clutch the pearls with a sneaky thing to do😂 also think it's hilarious when they start laughing and they can't contain themselves sometimes but they're really good at it very good actors The movie Bulletproof is hilarious too.😂
actually after 1:00, Damon seems to have a bit of trouble, but I think they deserve comedy medals for not just rolling on the ground and laughing their asses off.
Seriously, this and Funky Finger Productions are classic comedy gold. I loved it when it originally aired and I’m loving now so many years later. I must say the writing g here is brilliant. Seriously, listen to the Karate Kid 3 breakdown, it’s brilliantly hilarious.
"But the title alone, gets TWO SNAPS UP!" Fucking perfect pair, Damon Wayans played the best flamboyant male in any skit, the show took a huge hit when he left after Season 3. The cast got Jamie Foxx in which helped with the ugly Wanda skits, where him and Tommy Davidson cracked my shit up with that masseuse skit!
"Clutch the pearls"... I was dead after that.
Me too. LMAO🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a sneaky thing to do!
Amen spank💥
Same lol
I remember when this first aired...it was all the country was talking about. They DARED to be so flamboyant during prime time and we LOVED it! "Two snaps up" became iconic from that point on. Such great writing and talent!
yes it was amazing

“What do you think about Glenn Close?”
“Oo.. I loved him”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gleen Close did play a transgender man years later
@@brierichardson8462
"GLEN" that's not a woman.
In Living Color is brilliant. They created their own genre and were not afraid to push the envelope. They helped us laugh at ourselves; gay, straight, black, crazy fireman, neighborhood gossip...they made us feel good about the crazy screwed up world we live in.
"Clutch the pearls.. What a sneaky thing to do" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I miss them. Two snaps up.
Me too.
"Clutch the pearls what a sneaky thing to do" --- laughing so hard I miss this show!!!
we will never, ever see anything like this again.
Bat Turgidson
Sadly you are right we have to enjoy the this or reruns
Bat Turgidson true story
NEVER
Everybody's too sensitive. At least we have these clips.
Sadly no
Who ever came up with Blaine’s little hat, you are genius!! It’s actually funnier with the hat, if that’s possible!!
"Don't get maaddd" so dead after that 😂
When my family came out from the Midwest to visit me in California I had them watch this show, and they looked at me like I was laughing way too hard at Men on Film. That just made it funnier though.
Jeff Rey why were they so concerned?
How in the world they did this live without laughing is beyond me 😂
Their show wasn't live
Rehearsals :)
"Boy I hope I look that good when I'm 40..." LMFAO the shade!😂😂😂 (Ralph Macchio was 27 yrs old when Karate Kid 3 dropped, and still looked HS senior back then)
They can barely keep it together during the taping of these sketches. The studio audience must have been in tears from laughing so hard.
Music Power Don't get maaad.
I know, right!
Apparently 41 people, "HATED IT!"
LMFAO
Clutch the Pearl's what a sneaky thing to do😂😂
I’m impressed that David kept a straight face when Damon rubbed his leg and commanded of him “don’t get mad.” I couldn’t do it!
The first installment was so conservative in costume and delivery. They got more flaming as the segment gained popularity. DAG’s vest and Damon’s pink silk scarf.
This was the very first "Men on..." skit, and the audience didn't know what the gag was yet. It's hilarious to hear them gradually catch on.
The Original Key & Peele lol .. they should of done there own skit show after living color .. they were great together .
No disrespect but theyre way funnier than Key and Peele
@@eaqua56 I agree they are way funnier I grew up on this shit ... i was saying they should of had there own show .
20 years on and this is still the funniest thing I've ever seen. They NEED to do a reunion show
How ironic, that Damon Wayans is now starring in the new Lethal Weapon series. Awesome!!!!
I wish they would bring back In Living Color!!!! 😂
KTHREE31 LOL I know, funny isn't
Lol....I know right
Well he was also the “Head Detective”.
I just started to watch Lethal Weapon but he's gonna be leaving it.
Twan: Hello, Glenn Close is a woman.
Blaine: Clutch the pearls. What a sneaky thing to do!
LMAO🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"you better give me back my scarf." "don't hate me cause I'm beautiful." damon wayans and david allen grier doing their 'men on' skits was always one of the best of in living color.
Oh my clutch the pearls what a sneaky thing to do..lmfao done
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes.... I had to google her, and he is right!
Mel Gibson lethal weapon. "I hope its loaded" that line had me in stitches
This to me is the biggest compliment to the gay community I’ve ever seen, just like Damon’s portrayal of Handiman is a huge compliment to disabled guys like me. you can do it now...but company have no balls anymore...the balance will be back
Gimpy!
The woke crowd says that you're required to be offended.
A great clip and I especially liked the girls' shrieks and laughter after the lines:
"Don't get mad!" and "Clutch the pearls! What a sneaky thing to do."
🤗"Men On" was always my favorite segment🏈💗🤗
Mine too
Clutch the pearls what a sneaky thing to do!
This skit really took off starting with the next rendition of Men On Film. There will never be anything funnier than In Living Color.....
Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful!
I don't know how David Alan Grier kept a straight face during these tapings. he NEVER broke character, but he's ABSOLUTELY hilarious and 100% spot on...for what it was. His movements, facial expressions, etc. lol wow.
I agree. I don’t know how they ever got through these skits without laughing hysterically!
I don’t think dude was acting lol
That's just it, he wasn't keeping a straight face. Get it?
Thank god for UA-cam. We can continue watching stuff that really was funny, in this uptight, polititically correct world.
Two snaps up!!
Three words Fab u lous
One of the funiest moments in TV history.
i miss these two!
"I got three words: Fab uol us. I'm through!" I use that line quite a bit to break the ice and to get some laughs.
Twan: what you think of Glenn Close?
Blane: oh i loved him
tell me why everytime i watch that part i die laughing? lol
The Wayons spared no one. And I love them for it! 😊❤
I used to watch In Living Color on a regular basis, My top 2 favorite character skits were Jamie Foxx as "Wanda" and the "Men On" skits. Both skits had me rolling with tears of laughter. Hellooo!? Glenn Close is a woman. (Gasping) Clutch the pearls, what a sneaky thing to do. LOL! Smh!

You know Glenn had to laugh at this once upon a time 😂. Best laugh of her life.
I remember this when it was on, still just as funny
I love when Antonie does the 3 fingers and say “I’m thru” and then Blaine always saying “don’t get mad”
"You better give me back my scarf" LOL.
I remember watching this for the very first time, it was hilarious. The 1990’s were amazing.
Seriously, this and Funky Finger Productions are classic comedy gold. I loved it when it originally aired and I’m loving now so many years later. I must say the writing g here is brilliant. Seriously, listen to the Karate Kid 3 breakdown, it’s brilliantly hilarious.

They played these roles well lol I wished they would make more now, the older version.
