I JUST got this book a few days ago. Never read anything from CrossGen outside of a few first issues several years after the fact, so this may prove to be an interesting read!
Darnit Jess, you got me interested in this! Creative team is top notch! I remember Crossgen back then but didn’t give it a shot as I felt burned by other failed publishers, such as Valiant and Ultraverse. Since it’s only a single volume, might be worth a shot
I am still so torn on these omnibuses. I feel like it’s gonna be yet another rabbit hole I’ll dive into and idk if I’m ready for that haha Great coverage DAWG!
Thank you Illuminerdy!! I don't blame you a bit! I wasn't interested until I started flipping through the pages lol. It looks like a good story with very pretty art
Pre-ordered it when it was announced despite knowing nothing about it apart from the top tier talent attached and a style of artwork that stirred something in my brain. Putting The Batman Adventures on hold so I can start this, this week. Cheers for your insight mate. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one with a similar emotional response 🤌😁
i'm a sucker for firefly/ farscape / star wars type stuff so i bought it. fwiw there are a couple runs in this universe that are better and we're getting one of them soon, so it's not a wasted entry. It's got gods and lizard bad guys and a nicely made book. it's worth a read. thanks for the vid!
Hey, Omnidog! Thanks for the review! It's a terrific space opera series and a comprehensive omnibus. CrossGen put out fantastic content! They specialized in genres that were underserved by the Big Two. Everything was interconnected but the company went bankrupt just as they were launching their line-wide crossover event. I hope Marvel publishes the entire line. The only title to complete its run was "Meridian" with 44 issues. The mapping of the book is slightly off, though. This is the correct reading order: Sigil 1 CrossGen Chronicles 1 Sigil 2-5 Weaponsmaster Back-up Feature Sigil 6-7 CrossGen Chronicles 4 Sigil 8-14 Saurians: Unnatural Selection 1-2 Sigil 15-26 Nonessential Personnel Back-Up Feature Sigil 27-35 Sigil 36 Key Issue Sigil 37-42 Sigil 43 Script
Hello. Can you clarify what indicia says about copyright? Does it list Marvel as the owner of Sigil or is it Disney? I'm just wondering if they've transferred the rights entirely to Marvel and if CrossGen's a full-on Marvel property now.

Oh that's great! Thank you for providing this!!
So on the fence about this. I know nothing about it. But it looks so darned interesting.
