I bought a used 1969 VW in March 1971. It was a very fun car to own and drive. I put 350,000 miles on it with one engine rebuild. In 1977 I traded it in on a 1977 Toyota Corolla and have missed it ever since. Great car!!
I have a '69, red also. Owner now 16 yrs. Mine is patina. Her name is Rose. Everything works. Just year I updated to a 1776cc with dual 40 weber and front disc brakes. No longer a suggestion to stop it! Your little ride is perfect. Just drive her and enjoy!
Randomly came across this video! Im from Kenya and I have a near identical 1968 Beetle. You are spot on regarding that suspension. An absolute joy to drive!!😊
I will be picking up my new (to me) 1970 VW Beetle on Friday. Fortunately it has the steering wheel on the correct (left) side. Four-hour drive back so it will be riding on a trailer. I’ll be watching your future videos with great interest to see how our experiences contrast!
Nice one Anish, like everyone in the comments has picked up already, this car has made you the most happiest by your smile. Can’t wait for more videos about the little beast. Number plate is spot on btw
I bought this car, almost identical, in 1969. It was really the most fun car to drive that I've ever had. That time for me was when I was in college the year I got my BA. (Loved that car...so fun)
Happy to help with anything dude, been a VW nut for years and dabbled with a few BMWs, currently restoring a 635csi and drive an R32 daily. Can do most mechanical bits and these old beetles are a pleasure to work on!
Anishcin. My fuel guage on my '72 does that... They are VERY basic, just resisitance on a circuit. You can easy take it out of the tank and clean it up (you will quickly see how it works) Enjoy you beetle, it looks gorgeous. You will soon be in love with it and you must love it like your own baby......
The fuel gauge issue is common. Owners assume the sender unit is faulty and change it before troubleshooting the problem. Check for corroded and loose wiring connections on the sender unit (top of fuel tank in boot). Mine turned out to be a loose nut on the back of the gauge from the sender unit signal feed.
Anishvin....love your video....very info informative and funny. I have subscribed. You are great. Yes LOVE the Beetle......I was made in one and have a 2014 Beetle in Toffee Brown with a Beige Creme interior named Bobby. Beau
Wow so glad i came across ur channel and must say that way surely a nice bug😙 am going to check out all ur vídeos and also see where i could help out incase i see anything that might be of help. I am 2 years late hehe but will check out ur videos. Also am a beetle restorer and am in kenya more abt me u will find in the Airmighty magazine my article was published in 2014 issue 18 do check it out. Restored a 1956 oval bug. ☺
Hey I’ve never really been a VW Beetle fam but actually this car is pretty cool. Is a back to the basics no frills driving experience. RWD. Rear engined. NA flat four petrol internal combustion engine. Value wise and as is such a low miler it is best to keep it completely OE and as factory. Keep it unmodified. Use NEW Genuine VW Parts. Keep all receipts, All MOTs, all service history etc. If it was higher miler it would be ripe for to be a bit more adventurous and to molest it and put a 911 Turbo engine in it. Seems a bit of a sacrilege though on a low miler. Like the colour. Very famous model designed by Ferdinand Porsche. Some of the underpinnings were used in the Porsche 356.
Anishvin what about buying another one and making it all electric power train. ULEZ exempt. With all the mod cons air con, latest sound system, blue tooth, heated seats.
hey, i would keep this car OEM. glad its kept you happy. this car is perfect for taking to car meets, concourse shows and doing some cruise roads & travel vlogs....west coast scotland, alpine roads?
Yep...and that’s what gives it character! Makes other cars feel a little boring. I might not drive this on 200 mile journeys but makes a daily commute very fun!
Come il mio, anche io preso senza vederlo e fatto arrivare a casa con una bisarca - Like mine, I too was taken without seeing him and made to arrive home in a car transporter
Grandpa died and had one of these. Unforunately the body is so bad, my grandpa had to do illegal mods to keep it together. He didnt care lol. The engine is good. Just gonna get a beetle body and put the engine in.
Nice. I have a huge soft spot for the ‘69’s. I love them. At quick glance your bug looks solid! Get down under it and into it and check the trouble spots thoroughly. Just want to be sure. Been working on mine for a long while but just really started “documenting” now and again but usually only film stuff when there isn’t much info to be found. I like to help people when I can. I’ve subscribed to your page now because I’m curious as to what your plans are and look forward to seeing what you do! If you stumble on something and I see it early enough I’ll chime in with some advice/help if it’s something I’ve come across or dealt with before. Bugs are a riot to work on and drive and I’ve become far more attached to mine than any other car I’ve ever owned. Here’s a boring walk around of mine if you’re interested. Still a work in progress. ua-cam.com/video/wIquZ35co4Y/v-deo.html
Anishvin they are brilliant! I was lucky to get a Turquoise one, they were a true sports car in the 90's. They drive surprisingly well, love the pop up lights.
Anish, stop it with the blacking out - leave the Tesla alone its fine as it is (it doesn't need to look gangster). As a kid I spent years travelling around in Beetles, see yours has been fitted with the later bumpers.
Interesting video Anish. I've owned Beetles for almost 25 years, and I'm currently restoring one with my students at school. They're a marmite car, you either love them or hate them, but looks like you love yours! With good reason too, it looks pretty good in the video, and 1500s are great! If it was mine, I'd put a set of dropped spindles on the front, a decent set of shocks (Konis are nice) and some nice wheels - the classic Porsche Fuchs would be perfect. Lose the front foglight and the gravel guards off the rear wings and you're good to go. When you get bored of 44bhp, don't bother with a Porsche engine, go big cc with aftermarket parts but be warned - air-cooled performance can get a bit addictive... Here's my red '68 with a 2007cc flat four with twin 48 Webers! ua-cam.com/video/kGEoXzjiTr0/v-deo.html
As you can see, I’m in love 😍 🥰
Do you all love it as much as me??
Absolutely!
May I just say you've made a wise investment ever I'm looking forward to future content on your 1969 Vw Beetle
Thank you 🙏🏼
Anishvin thats a good investment bro
@@AnishvinOfficial do you still have the car?

I have a blue 1969 1500 Beetle and ADORE it. It's not my daily driver, but after a long day taking it around the block is a fantastic unwind.

You bought my dream car, I’ve been saving for one like this for years but never managed to reach enough lol
My Dad’s 1972 Volkswagen Beetle is from King’s Lynn as well but he bought it of a bloke in Cheshire.
Enjoy the bug dude, lovely motor :)
Kevin Talbot thanks a lot mate! Let’s get together soon 💪🏼

Hi mate, I bought my own beetle (similar to yours), a while ago. Mines a 1969 1500 in royal red. What’s the colour code of yours? It looks stunning!

I might even pick up another really run down one and put an engine in it! It’s so tempting to do it but this model is just in too good condition
Anishvin what about buying another one and making it all electric power train. ULEZ exempt. With all the mod cons air con, latest sound system, blue tooth, heated seats.
Anishvin you would need to fiddle with the weight distribution put the batteries close to centre.
Have you thought about getting a electric point set up in your own property...I would also upgrade the wheels....
I don’t need one. There is a charging point 5 mins from me
Nice. How much was it.?
Check out the video just before this. It’s when I buy it at auction
hey, i would keep this car OEM. glad its kept you happy. this car is perfect for taking to car meets, concourse shows and doing some cruise roads & travel vlogs....west coast scotland, alpine roads?
Couldn’t agree more. Will keep it oem and just add my small little personalised touches
6:02 look at that beauty 😍 that’s my dream car
Unfortunately will need to sell my VW as it isn’t getting the attention it deserves!
I have a blue ‘69 just like yours - even lowback seats! I love mine so much I featured it in a music video. Enjoy!
Love the Beetle so much
Me too 💪🏼
Why is noone noticing that this is where they did the top gear classic car rally challenge??!!!
Can you a overview on owning a tesla x, how autopilot works etc.
I have done a video actually. Check it out on my channel
Had an almost new ‘75 1300L, then later a 1303 Automatic, v.rare now, wished I’d kept it. Great cars, better handling with radial tyres though.
I have a 1971 vw beetle its amazing
Definitely stealth out the Tesla bro !!

Thats such a cool car.
Mate ,I love the beetle it the same year as mine.I think you should get rid of the Tesla and get another Beetle.
I’ve got a 1971 u coming to any of the meets at ace cafe
Keep It oem. It'll hold its value. If you mod it it'll drop.
Totally agree
Love a beetle!! ❤❤❤
Its slow, noisy n uncomfortable but very reliable...it'll drove ya here n there so long ya take care of it...enjoy dude...

Tesla's just look horrific.

Most Optimal Person IN HISTORY I hope to prove you wrong
Most Optimal Person IN HISTORY lol his average is like 100 views
Yes I average 100 views..have nearly 4 million views on UA-cam so I’ve made 40,000 videos 😐 (slow clap 👏🏼)
