There's no "why" Scru, He just evil
Yup the anime basically shows you that some people really are just closeted psychopaths with no ability to act upon their crazy thoughts so they seem like regular people, but what if...........one could? this is where hiro comes into play👌
Bros basically a reverse light yagami💀
I disagree. There is a reason. One he's probably literally a psychopath amd two he lives a lifestyle where he is disassociated with real life and doesn't take anything around him seriously.
@@marche800um..yea..so..no reason.
@@アキコ2003no those are REASONS, just not excuses.
Not scru thinking Hiro came knocking IRL. 😂
17:01 lol
Hiro Shishigami is the embodiment of, "Why? Because I can."
Lool
This series really shows the difference between being kind and just being harmless.
Inuyashiki , the protagonist, chose to do good and tried to not hurt anyone or abuse his power even though he very much could.
Whereas Hiro is just a straight up psychopath who is choosing to live out every intrusive thought he's ever had. Showing that he was always a budding serial killer deep down who was just harmless because he didn't actually have the *power* to act on his fantasies
"There's a difference between kind and harmless."
That's really profound
Also he really had no good reason for why he did what he did, he did it simply because he could, its basically like when you give a closeted psychopath the ability to do what he wanted in his intrusive thoughts(hope this helps bruh🙏)
He just wanted to see want he can do
being a psychopath by no means makes you want to kill people, please stop this bs
Bruh bro lost his ability to have feelings when he became a cyborg same with the mc but where the MC found his humanity in saving people, he decided to be evil thinking it'll help him feel for alive or human did you even watch the anime
@@phantomxyz3794 1.I did watch the anime even though it was a couple years ago, 2. bro does still have feelings(he cries multiple times throughout the series like when his moma offed herself and when he thought his girl and her grandma passed indicating he does feel sadness which is an emotion) he does feel others as well but I cant be bothered with allat yapping👍
@@2skiledboi847 yh only after the consequences of his actions started showing up that's when he started cry like he didn't deserve it smh
The anime was basically a good Vs evil thing Inuyashiki and Hiro got the same abilities and while Hiro became a serial killer, Inuyashiki never hesitated to use his powers to save lives
Scru, you keep asking why….do you not remember what your boy Alfred said to Batman? “Some men just want to watch the world burn!0
Scru forgetting the Majin Buu used Human Extinction attack meaning he eradicated way more people than this guy 😅
Sure but that shit wasn't realistic. This asside from the robot shenanigans is a pretty cisceral depiction of what it'd be like for a murderer to break into your house and kill your whole family.
Bro I though the same thing. Buu was the king of black air force energy because he killed any and everything just because. He tried to blow up the afterlife😂😂😂
Didn't Frieza also murder a kid? I mean probably millions with how many planets he blew up and ENJOYED.
@@dusky5535 billions, maybe trillions.
I forget what the term is called but there's this effect where people being murdered becomes less shocking regarding who vs how many. The fewer the number of people killed the more visceral and gut-wrenching it becomes vs millions slaughtered, then it's just a number with no face. It's still shocking and horrifying but there's an emotional distance set because you know nothing about these victims. We don't actually see each individual person in DBZ being slaughtered but picture Buu instead blasting a single bus of kids and we're shown their frightful faces as they're disintegrated. There's a much more intense EMOTIONAL reaction. That's why, in my opinion, the most horrifying villains of DBZ were Frieza and Cell. You actually witnessed each of their victims being murdered and seeing the light of their eyes fade away. It's more personal and heartbreaking.
Hiro (ironic name) is doing all of this just to feel alive, because when he became a cyborg (like the old man that is the protagonist), he doesn't feel live anymore without a big enough incentive, Hiro's being just killing shit and being evil, while the old man feels alive doing good deeds. It's a great anime honestly, especially with the dichotomy between the two and what it means to be alive, etc. Also the opening is absurdly good and Trump is in it (not joking)
Exactly! He legitimately thought that since he's "a robot", he had no reason to feel bad about giving into his psychotic desires. Because CLEARLY it was the aliens or his "code", not him! Hiro Shishigami would NEVER do this... Except when he sees Inuyashiki, it ruins that mindset and proves to Hiro that all of this was his own doing.
Hiro is one of my fave villains not for his actions, but because it really is a crazy case of Hiro just having such a bizarre experience that broke him and made him give into his evil nature. There's something just interesting about it and how he seems to get more screentime than Inuyashiki himself.
This man said "super saiyan virgin" I can't bro
Truly, a top 10 description 😂
Inuyashiki's actually well written, Inuyashiki aka the old man is the Main character it's just that CJ barely shows his point of view, Hiro's just pure evil, pretty much what happens if a troubled person gained too much power. He doesn't really "have" motives he's just a psychopath which contrast with Inuyashiki who's just a regular "nice old guy" that realized he can do good with his new body
Ngl scru that knock got my ahh too😂 until I realized where the sound was coming from (left ear) had no doors or windows💀
Ts scared TF outta me when I watched cj's vid at 1 am💀
Nah scared me too 😭 I was in my dorm basement and I was like "wtf?!"
I was on my bed and raised my head to check the window while my heart was beating like crazy 😅
@@CookiesAreNoiceIt’s scarier in a basement cause you thinking you got eldtrich horrors in the dorm basement walls 😂
This one had scru shook
Judging by the creator Hiroya Oku's other works, he seems to genuinely think teens are sociopathic narcissists.
He ain't wrong tho
I mean, is he wrong? 😅
Look at my nephew. He's right.😅
No I think most of his stories tell the tale of what would you do if you gave a young person unlimited power and allowed him to use his most baser impulses
Have you ever met kids before?
You know what Scru, i appreciate you. Your face dropped so many times which tells me a lot. You have a good heart and you can clearly tell this man is a psycho for real for real. I just like the concept of this anime. It is wild compared to what I have seen. This man top's Redo the Healer for me and that anime is sick as fuck. Plus the fact that this is a series means we about to see some really crazy shit
The anime/manga was a prime example of what happens when a regular person with no history of being crazy is given power. Sometimes they just awaken a deep rooted evil inside themselves. This is why Uncle Ben remains the goat.
Ironic cause the mc is basically if uncle Ben got powers instead
We still gonna act like Eren Yeager didn't 2 step 80% of the WORLD'S POPULATION... but I feel ya on how sick Hiro is but still.. ZE WORLD!
Also that knock had me checking my house too and every reaction video I've watched I'm still looking around. It's criminal for sure, lmao!
Too hung up on the numbers...
CJ is a demon for adding that knock😂😂 glad I didn't have my headphones on when I first watched this
I do love these type of villains every now and then. Like its weird that he doesn't even come off as evil to me. Just like pure... Impulse. Like i watch this in shock rather than fear.
Some people will see a spider or something just vibing and think about killing it when they can just leave it be. Hiro, on the other hand, doesnt get any thoughts and just acts.
Whats actually scary to me about this anime is that i know there are plenty out there who'd pop off like this if ever given the opportunity.
because the spider is gross lol
What's scary is that this character shakes Scru, who is a fan of Dragon Ball, that has has multiple genociders. It's different when the killer isn't a flashy, campy, colorful monster. It's different when it's innocent people minding their business and not warrior tribes and fighters.
This right here is why Cell was so scary, he felt like a wild animal that was hunting for prey, but also a predator that kills for fun. He got pleasure from absorbing people.
I don’t really see the difference can someone explain? It like saying that stabbing someone is different from shooting them in head I don’t get it
@@edwinrivera1360 In context it is. Stabbing someone is so much more involved and gritty. What makes this so visceral is that it's a teen (made cyborg) just killing normal people for no apparent reason.
Buu successfully kills everyone on earth but it was him shooting a bunch of pink lights and that was that. This guy is blowing people's brains out.
@@w47765 Regardless of how personal this was, I believe the numbers is what matters. People are so stuck on the manner of how these people died they forget the sheer number of people who lost their lives in an instant in other animes and forms of media. I find it weird how people will cheer on someone like Sukuna and call him "A dawg" knowing damn well he sliced an entire city to ribbons erasing it off the map with a big smile on his face. It just goes to show how hyper fixated people are on animation. Its one thing seeing a beam of light snipe someone with zero blood splatter like DBZ vs how it would really look. Heck even Goku Black went on a multiversal killing spree killing men, women, children etc leaving earth for last and people love him.
@@PlutoMadejjk as a whole is just surrounded by anime viewers who are mostly hype beast who literally don’t pay attention to an anime unless there’s a fight going on.
Any cognitive thinking past punch punch slash slash goes out the window for them.
I agree that the numbers do matter but the reason why buu killing so many really doesn’t hit in the way youd think is because of how often people have died up to this point on top of the fact that they’ll just get revived.
Goku black on the other hand we know he did all these killings and while we never saw all of it we know that goku and the others aren’t gonna do shit to fix it after they beat him so it’s a bit more diabolical
When he killed the families, he had no reason to kill. The bullies were killed because they bullied his friend. The media and discord mods gave him a reason by heckling his mom to the point she offed herself. The police gave him a reason by shooting his girl and her grandma to death until he healed them. The rest of Shinjuku got it because he wanted to be left alone and he thought those people would get in the way of that. So technically, he had a reason for every kill, except for those families. They weren't logical reasons, but they were reasons.
No, he had a reason even though it was illogical there too. Those were HAPPY families. He's a divorce kid whose dad left and made a whole new family and left his mom with pancreatic cancer. Those were happy healthy families, so he killed them. Same with the kids: they were friends, and he killed them just after his best friend parted ways with him.
@@ultimamage3Love when I read comments from people with great comprehension skills.
There is always a reason, might not be a good one in our eyes, and some might rage and say “Well, that’s not a good reason 😡”
it’s still a reason.
he also stated himself that the only way he could feel alive is to take the lives of others who have his dream life. It's a dark and perhaps stupid reason yes, but it is still a reason and I wouldn't know how it is to live like an android so eh. It's a nice good vs evil guy anime ngl
In the words of Dave Rossi from Criminal Minds: "It only needs to make sense to him. One man's logic is another man's crazy."
Even though we never get an explanation to *why* Hiro starts killing people outside of *"he wants to"* , if I had to take a guess it because he's *lashing out*
His parents are split up with his mom being miserable and his dad having a whole other family, so it makes sense that, given he's obviously got psychopathic tendencies on top of that, he felt genuine resentment for these families having a life he didn't.
Hell, same with the two kids. His best friend literally just cut all ties with him eariler that day and then he sees these 2 kids, who are obviously friends and, again, he lashes out.
That's just *my* interpretation tho
That last part wasn't accurate
33:45 This anime is the story of "Inuyashiki: The last hero", This elder. You're just watching the perspective of the villain In this video.
Scru if you want to understand you gotta watch the show it's a really good showing of philosophy and how the creator sees the world

That knock scares the hell out of me every time I hear that scene and I have headphones on.
He did it simply because he had the power to and his curiosity got the best of him ontop of psychotic urges.
The reason why Hiro goes around killing people is because its the only way for him to feel human. The old man Inuyashiki only feels human when saving people. I don't know why people missed this it might not have been said in the anime.
the aliens gave a second chance and unlimited power to two people. a kind grandpa and a psychopath.
Imma be honest, when this video dropped, I had to go find the anime and watch it before watching CJs Commentary. One of the best extremely short term decisions I made that week.
17:02 look at his face XD! He shook, he legit got spooked by that knock, he turned with a quickness. Not that I blame him...
Hiro is only half of this anime, he's the villain. The old dude is the main character. The themes of this show are about the choice you make when you're granted power over others, do you use it for others or abuse it for yourself. Hiro represents the latter, being a troubled person suddenly granted the powers of a god, he chooses to use it to make other people's lives worse because he thinks it will make his better, or at least make him feel better about himself, while the old guy(his name escapes me right now) chooses to help others because he realizes that the only true happiness we have is in the connections we form with others. It's actually an amazing show despite the awful cgi and the often messed up actions of Hiro.
This anime isn't designed to the most complicated show ever, it's a character piece that puts these 2 diferent extremes in an exaggerated, unrealistic scenario to show what happens when people are given power. If a psychopath with intrusive thoughts about murder was given the power to kill anyone he wanted at less than the snap of his fingers and leave behind little to no evidence and have very small potential repercussions, that's exactly what they'd do.
Theme of this anime is spontaneous action of intrusive thoughts. The hero of this show Mr. Inyuashiki had very good intrusive thoughts. When he heard a screm he ran in and saved the day, when he found out he could heal any injury/sickness he immediately started going to hospitals and fixing people who were on the brink of death. Inyuashiki was a good human being. As to where Hiro is an absolute psychopath who has the worst intrusive thoughts.
This show is still great.
The thing is scru the point is that he had no reason he just thought “hmm why not”
24:48 he can use every piece of technology bro
It doesn't matter.
cameras , TV's, phones anything the only safe place is a forest or the middle of the desert even then he'll just use a military satellite to find you
I watched this video myself yesterday, and had the exact same reaction Scru did for that knocking sound effect.. Worst part was i was in my basement working out, no windows there lmao. Damn near dropped the dumbbells on my foot.
You were surprised when he said this guy is only ONE OF the biggest anime serial killers, but remember Frieza 💀
"But WHY..?!!" because that's just how he is.
23:40 Hiro can still catch a body through a screen even if his victim is not looking at it
Hey... Just remember... Vegeta was eating dudes... wiping out villages of Namekians young, old... babies... didnt matter he offed them.
In the cell saga when everyone keeps saying that he's a "good guy" now... They forget that that man fought 18 along a highway and was blowing up cars and trucks without a care in the world... Them cars and trucks had people in them... They even showed a few of the people in the cars right before they blow up...
And at the end of the cell saga they "wish back everyone that was offed by Cell."
Them dudes on the highway just in the after life salty as heck. Watching everyone else get wished back... cept for them... cuz Vegeta boomed them.
Oh yeah... They did that on Nemek as well... All the villages that Vegeta squad wiped?... They wished everyone back who was offed by Freeza and his men... Vegeta wasn't working with Freeza at that time.
The reason why this is hitting harder than other anime, is because this is too close to reality and the realism they put into it is disturbing.
Bro His Doing this Because He Said I want To Do This Because Is Fun To Killed and He said I love Hurting People Is A Cereal Killer This was Crazy 😆😆😆💜🩷💜
Inuyashki is one of them shows that you have to have a strong stomach for. Shit made me sick. Just like the movie Rampage. I don't know how people think of this shit. Its just crazy.
It's all wild out of context, but the Inuyashiki is actually a great show.
Keep in mind Hiro Shishigami is NOT the main character. He is the main villain. Cj is only talking about the villain side arc not the main/hero arc (A.K.A. the majority of the show.) .
scary part is there are people like this in real life just straight evil
You should see the youtube video about the korean Nth rooms, that video is the epitome of evil.
I wouldn't say there is no "why" but rather the "why" is something unique to people with the most disturbing kind of mental problems - Because it's the only way he could feel alive.
Imma be real though, the anime isn't totally sick, just half of it lol. The other half is really wholesome and heartwarming because of the *other* main character.
He does it for fun, the anime is called Inyuyashiki.
Scru the goat back at it again
What’s crazy is trippie sampled this in his song BANG lol
I personally think, if you give majority of Gen Z these abilities, they'd be similar, if not the same as Hiro.
Not gonna lie Scru, 1st time i watched this video and heard the knocking, i had to take my earpiece to listen cuz I thought it was my door 😅😅
Also, the guy was brought back to life as an android with his memories and personality same as when he was human. He started killing bcuz he now had the means to make his intrusive thoughts reality
The question of "why" is that both he, and the main character (the old man) were made into robots. They aren't really the same people anymore.
So, are they human?
The old man uses his new abilities to save people's lives. Hiro uses them to kill. In the beginning, he killed people just to feel something, to try prove to himself he was human, but of course, he is a sociopath child, with destructive powers, and we see how well that goes. He then starts killing people as revenge following his mother's death.
Same bro. I felt the same when I been watching this. CJ really cooked with this one, but the character was sick, that give me different wibes.
“Picture scrambling tech”….
1. With that characters powers you could do that
2. Bruh did you forget mask exist? Lol
15:17 Bro just kills because he can, no reason to them at all
This anime movie is goated in my books bro
The WHY? Is that he's a android with no emotions, so hes trying to find a thrill to make him feel something of the sorts. He's literally empty inside
Hes already empty since childhood. He murder animals since hes a toddler and have detailed ways on how to kill in his school reports and diary.
he has emotions the whole reason why is because he can its like what the comment above your said
He definitely has emotions did you watch the anime?
@@Mr.Rabot6688 only nearing the end mahn
@@lyleholland2803hes just a straight up psycopath, has nothing to do with being an android. The old man is an android too bruh.
He is doing this for like 2 reasons 1 it's because he's heartless because he's a robot technically and 2 he's doing this for revenge because they cause his mother's death
I said this in the cj video. Their was a part in the anime close to the ending where he mentioned he started feeling nothing after the aliens rebuilt him. The old man who was the main character had a predisposition to help people after the aliens rebuilt him, that how he felt human. But this guy, he only feels human when he kills people. As evil as he was, the aliens made him that way.
It wasn't the aliens that made him that way. The series was show the question and interpretation of "what makes you human". A youth with no life experience and an elderly full of it both have there bodies made inhuman. And there minds are left to adjust. The elderly, with there full lives, saw only how they can help others because they knew how others can hurt. But the youth, who only knows his own life and experiences, has yet to build the bonds and experiences to care for others. Same as teenagers who do dumb shit. Hiro thus says without my body I am jot a person. Buy when he kills people the violent reaction he had to it affirmed his humanity.thus he killed until he fell in love. Because love made him feel too.
@@davidforde2507 just looked into it and yh, you are right, he didn't have a personality of his own and he was basically a husk. Until he saw someone jump in front of a train and he enjoyed seeing that. But in my opinion, I still think being made an android was what pushed him over.
@@LoyalxRoyalidk why but I feel bad for the aliens. 😭

It somewhat makes sense when you think about it more, he’s now a cyborg and is also undeveloped because obviously he’s in school and young. So you can see the difference in empathy between him and the old man, especially since they lose 50% of their emotions and their humanity

"Some of you anime writers are sick" my thoughts when seeing psycho pass
Basically its a story of opposition the main character garners a reputation of a guardian angel as the villain is a great calamity but the main character makes the story so phucking good
I love how this was made after the creator of Gantz. Wish that anime got a reboot.
If one is given this power, it brings out their true colors.
CJ got Scru clutching his pearls 😂
Scru, the "why" is that Hiro is an impulsive chimp of a boy who got given the power to act unchecked on his impulses. He is the antithesis to the protagonist, the old man Inuyashiki. Hiro used his powers for almost exclusively pure evil and impulse, but Inuyashiki chose to help anyone he could and make the world a better place to be in.
To clarify, he didn't kill the families for no reason. Not exactly. He killed them out of jealousy because as CJ said earlier in the video, he has a broken family. His entire personality is literally "because I can." He was actually killing people before he got the powers (had to rewatch the story to learn that). The powers just enabled him to do it on a way bigger scale.
"Some Super Saiyan virgins"😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that took me out😂
4:20 GANG, I'VE BEEN TELLING MY HOMIES THAT!! Like gang, if I i can do that... TRUST Scru, we up and outta there, my g
The "why" of why Hiro is doing this is because since in his eyes, he doesn't believe he is a human. He thinks he's just some robot that the aliens are controlling. That it's okay that he's giving into his psychotic desires because "it's not really him anyways".
So when he comes across Inuyashiki (the old man) , he starts to crack. Because Inuyashiki chooses to be good, which poked the fattest hole in Hiro's logic. He was always a psycho, he just had an easy excuse. That he was no longer human, thus his actions weren't his own.
A few things to help make some sense of this mess:
First off, the aliens didn't randomly run the two guys over. I mean, it was random that they ran them over, but they came to Earth because they're actually a pretty decend race, they had seen a meteor capable of destroying Earth was headed its way and decided to help, killing this psycho and the old man was an accident. They decided to kill three birds with one stone, fixed Inuyashiki and Hiro to save them, gave them power to cure people basically to give humanity a helping hand in general and made them super powerful robots so they could deal with the meteor.
Then, there is Inuyashiki, the character which the story is actually about. He's an old man with a pretty mid-to-shitty life, family don't give a fuck about him, job is boring as all fuck and pays shit, only good thing in his life is the dog (god that is a good dog though). He gets these powers and, basically, starts to do what the aliens wanted. Helps cure people, deals with local crime, helps out the neighborhood, starts fixing his relationships with his family, it's all good.
Hiro is just the other side of the coin. I really do think the aliens are just built different, they seem like they really don't have a single evil bone inside them. They wanted to help out, and they probably thought "oh if we give these powers to humans, they'll act just like us, helping and healing their world!" Nah, Hiro is a straight up psycho. Dude starts to learn that there is a reason to be a good human being only during these events instead of, you know, being a healthy person who learned that shit in childhood.
It's by far not the cleverest and by an infinite margin not the most subtle, but the anime does a nice job of showcasing the two pathways of nihilism: "nothing matters =(" and "nothing matters =)." When you are an untouchable god who is beyond any repproach or consequence from anything on the planet, what do you do? Do you indulge every base impulse you have, because nothing has any meaning? Or do you conclude that, if nothing has any meaning, but you yourself can feel happiness and sadness, a more productive use of your time would be to give out as much as you can to those around you, in a sense, creating meaning out of nothing by your own actions? That is Inuyashiki's perspective.
_Hiro_ is the stupid teenager interpretation of nihilism. "Wooho, nothing matters, let's do fucked up shit because it's fun" without ever stopping to realize that, "beyond consequence" literally isn't a thing. Yeah, nobody can kill you, congrats... You still have a life. You never stopped to look at it like that, but you had something worthy of appreciation, and now your wanton drive to feel edgy has broken it. Mother kills herself, father life's ruined, gf and her family offed by the cops... No matter how untouchable you think you are, even if no consequence ever literally reaches back to you, living life as if nothing has any value in and of itself is a hurtful consequence of the mindset.
The funny thing is, the writter of Inuyashiki has another manga, Gantz, that does a much better job of exploring this idea. It's not the sole focus of the story like in this one, in Gantz this arc of realizing the depressing trap of nihilism and finding out a path that allows for happiness to exist while still being nihilistic is just one of the arcs the protagonist goes through, but I still think it's much better written. Shame it ain't ever getting a half decent anime xD
Ngl cj got me with that door knock sound at 17:01 😂
I like to think the news reporters didnt just stand there but dude let off shots so fast they didnt have time to fully react
Scru forgettin villains like frieza and buu lol. Difference is they just showed hiro killin the kids. Frieza killed trillions if not more. Buu eradicated all of earth and other planets in the past. The androids in the future timeline were slowly killing everyone on earth.

@amari7782 okay. So it's like time travel. Using our profile pic char as ref. Someone who time travels like say Reverse Flash in comparison to Buu and Frieza. And there's Add who on his success can't regain what he lost in comparison to Hiro.
As for the "one of the worst anime serial killers," another one would be "The Major" from Hellsing Ultimate. He is responsible for SOO many bystander deaths
This man is pure evil, killing a child, killing a baby God Not even madera and azine do that
I agree with you at 23:23 man. Internet trolling would stop right there if they didn't doxx & talk shit to his mom. His mom already went through enough
This show is a tale of, if you were given an ultimate unstoppable power what would you do? use it for selfish gain or to help those around you? Hiro being the former while inuyashiki being the latter.
30:27 I know this breakdown makes the show look a certain way, but you are only seeing this character. He is the evil. The show is a lot more, seeing the whole thing, it's actually one of the best written shows I've watched
11:40 EXACTLY, why would you go out of your way to kill an innocent family, BEFORE THE BULLIES!?!?! That was always crazy to me with this Anime lol
That's what killers do. They violate innocents before people they hate.
@@raylevi5343 Yeah he was sick in the head before becoming a OP-cyborg lol
@@raylevi5343 violate lol
Chaos immediately! 😂😂😂
You gotta watch the movie bro. A little less graphic but it's dope.
Inuyashiki.
You'll love it
That “ONE OF?!” Felt so real bro
One thing gang, this is an anime that’s meant to be sick to show people that some people are just sick for the sake of being sick and will take any excuse to enact their internal desires. Crazy shit but I mean bundy n em was real and there isn’t even really a reason Some of dem folks are crazy.
Man become one with the force 💪 🤣
Dude freeza blew up planets and people love him
