Boil tha water.
Turn off the fire.
Put the mini sago and let sit for 15 mins.
Drain old water.
Put again water.
Cook again for 10 mins with med high heat.
Then put to low heat and cook for 10 mins.
Drain.

Or you can soak the sago with cold water like less than 30 seconds then cook them in boil water in a small volume or with a mesh strainer, you can finish your sago cooking in 5 minutes.

Just want to share my experience cooking sago. As for my experience, I did not entirely follow this process as I watched various of videos on how to cook sago (including this one) and yet every video seems to have quite a bit of difference from each other. Though, I still used this as a reference until I was able to cook mine perfectly.
What I did was first, I heated a pot with water (no specific measurement) -- I just estimated the enough water to cover the amount of sago I will be cooking. Second, make it to a boil (make sure that it is really boiling before you add the sago as there might be a problem afterwards). Third, after the water was put into a boil, I then put the sago, turned the heat into med-low heat maybe for about 15-20 mins by stirring it in between (make sure that you will stir it a few times even though not continuosly but at least every while to make sure that it won't stick or plump together). Fourth, I turned off the heat and cover the pot for about 15-20 mins as well (I did not rinse any water, I just turned off the heat and let it sit). Lastly, I was surprised that after that 15-20 mins of sitting there it already turns to its supposed to be size and with a translucent color so I just drained it, put it in a bowl, and mixed some sugar for it to taste. And, Voila a perfect sago! Hope this helps

Me i just boiled water then put the sago, cooked for 15mins while stirring continously. Then I drained water and cool down sago with water. After that I cooked sago for another 15 mins or just taste it to know that the sago is ready. Again, cool down with water then it's done.
Okay I think is is more simple, I will do this

the easiest way is to soak overnight and boil it in the morning for 10-15 minutes or taste it to ensure it's fully cooked.

Perfect
I got 2.5L water boiling, turned down the heat so it was simmering then added 125g mini tapioca pearls.
Cooked this covered with a crack open on a simmer for 25 minutes stirring a few times.
They cooked to clear in this time and were perfect to me.
Poured into a sieve then rinsed under cold water.
Added 130g coconut milk and dissolved palm sugar in a little water then boiled this down till it thickened and darkened then poured this over to taste.
Why do all the recipes require you to stop cooking halfway then start again? This way was perfect.
I cooked my mini tapioca pearls just like you did and they turned out perfect. Thanks for this method.

What if im i use the pressure cooker is easy.
this tiny sago is delicate to use (for my opinion) hence boiling it normal is better than pressure cooker and might be over cook. salamat sa panonood and God bless

You’re mini tapioca pearls are undercooked! 😳 They shouldn’t have opaque white center. Properly cooked tapioca pearls are completely translucent. Those would have hard center and are bothersome to chew!
Hello po. Nagtitinda po kami kasi ng sago at gulaman for half decade po.. ayan po ang teknik na ginagawa namin.. dahil continious pa naman po ang pag luto nito kaht eala na sa tubig kaya eksaktong time lang po ito para after lumamig ay wala na po ang white center na nakikita nyo.
