great collection!
A true pioneer of exotic gardening-I like the number of species he is trying and his hybridisation techniques. This is how exotic gardening goes forward and benefits us all-a wonderful video Kris.
Totally agree. Testing the hardiness boundaries.
As someone who’s likes to push the limits of what can be grown where I understand the amount of work he has to put into having success. Great job👍
Brilliant video, I'd love to have a go of planting opuntia outdoors
Brilliant idea to get some other growers talking about their gardens and their "gardening journeys" on your channel Kris. Like a turbo charged Monty's viewers gardens on GW.
Thanks for watching and enjoying the video. I like the range of Agaves that Joel has planted out
@@YorkshireKRIS Yes Joel's done an incredible job, particularly bearing in mind the prevailing climate in the region he lives. Just goes to prove we should all keep pushing those boundaries.
Inspiring planting in a Northern climate. Brilliant video. Loved it
Great Kris
Many thanks
Another great video Kris. Arid plants aren't usually my favorite but this was really interesting and gave me a few things that I am interested to try!
That's good to hear. Lots of different plants mentioned
What an amazing garden, thanks for sharing with us.
It's a great to visit other people's gardens for inspiration
Where did he say he lived, I’m impressed! 😮 hello from the USA 🇺🇸
Brighouse West Yorkshire. Its a fantastic collection
for me Opuntia Phaecantha is one of the hardiest-it survives very wet conditions. Joel should be on GW
Totally agree
I wonder how this garden looks today...
You'll see in an upcoming video
I am doing a cactus raised bed from scratch do I mix gravel with soil or just use pure gravel and hardcore
gravel and hardcore then plant into a layer of pure gravel on top of this.
NICE GARDEN. WHAT PLANTING ZONE IS YOUR AREA?
Roughly 8 but here is a maritime climate rather than continental
