  • I have done a lot of Spring fishing in 2021 so far. I've fished for trout, bass and musky. I've been on a lot of fishing adventures, explored some amazing creeks and of course caught a whole bunch of big fish. Pennsylvania has a lot of good creek fishing opportunities during Spring. I always feel at peace when I'm out on my fishing adventures. Whether I'm creek fishing for trout, bass fishing a pond or musky fishing a giant dam, I always have a good time and stay positive. Preserve and Protect!

    Yo I know exactly where that pond is! It used to be way more lowkey and less pressured, me and my buddies used to fish it all the time. Nowadays there’s a hole in the creek right next to it full of largemouth which has also been extremely pressured. Crazy to see you pull up there!

    • @EasternPaFishing
      @EasternPaFishing  Рік тому +1

      I used to fish it a lot before they built the "Y" I don't even go there any more. My buddy caught a 4 out of the pond a few years ago. Many of the bass have died, been poached or pushed put of the pond in to the creek. Used to be nice before sucks now.

    🙋
    I don't care if it's stock trout or wild trout, I just enjoy catching them.
    Right now with the weather being so hot or overcast have not been fishing for the last 3 or 4 months, I even went up to Cabela's and bought like $300.OO worth of trout bait and still nothing.
    So I was thinking about getting into bass fishing, never fish for bass before always trout.
    So how would I get into bass fishing for my first time and what type of line and what kind of lures would I have to use for a bass, there is a big huge canal in Allentown Pennsylvania and they are filled with
    Largemouth, smallmouth and rock bass.

    • @EasternPaFishing
      @EasternPaFishing  3 роки тому

      Hi Steve, I know little to nothing about fly fishing, but I do know it can be very expensive and isn't really for everyone. With that being said, I recommend purchasing the cheapest setup you can buy (thats what I did.) I'm not sure if they make the one I use anymore but, "in my opinion this should be everything you need to get started: www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/martin-complete-fly-fishing-kit-17mrtumrtncmpflyfcom/17mrtumrtncmpflyfcom?sku=18732604&camp=CSE:DSG_92700055661380300_lia_pla-926257865703&segment=&gclid=Cj0KCQjwyZmEBhCpARIsALIzmnK-7CTQEK7_BGIti1gs7HZEm8mMfLNA9KUcoAp1W9mBXgl9X8QdoNwaAvgOEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

      I started out fly fishing with a 20 dollar Walmart combo and caught a few trout on it. Once I decided it was something I wanted to do, I spent a little more money on it. But you really don’t need a 200 dollar orvis combo to catch fish. All I have is a 70 dollar okuma combo. One tip I have is that instead or using leaders just use a section of 6 pound mono because it is a lot cheaper.

      My sister lives there. I fished some of the streams that run through town for only a few hours last time I visited & I saw several large carp, a couple walleye and landed a few bass & panfish including a 3lbs smallmouth. I had a great time & from what I saw, there's some decent fishing to be had in the area 👍
