yo thank you, I’m trying to join my school’s esports team but my league does fortnite 1v1s /w builds, and i mainly play zero build. Thanks for helping with basic points and not going straight to the slightly more advanced stuff or scenarios and actually going to the complete basics.

However, I do realise that there are more advanced ways to ramp rush to opponents, so I’d really appreciate it if you made a video on not only protective but fast ramp rushing techniques I can do in both directions to challenge players at high ground or just get higher than them in a fight. I’d also really appreciate it if you made a video on how to use cones to stop people from cranking, because my friend just won’t stop getting above me and railing me, so I gotta stop that form happening
I use my D finger to also place stairs, cones, and floors (C, T, and X respectively) as well as open the edit menu (G) and pickaxe (F). I could change it, but then I would have to relearn, and I'm probably not going into comp anytime soon, so I'm sure I will be fine.
hey reid, i see that your mouse has that third mouse button, how did you bind it to fortnite? i have the logitech g502 mouse and it has a total of 8 additional side buttons but only the main 2 (the most common 2) are able to be binded. do you know why, any help/tips?
You need to download the Logitech mouse button and remap/change the other buttons to keyboard buttons. For example my 3rd button is bound to 0 on my numpad so it’s a bindable button

I'd use comma or period (c or v on wasd) and I'd hit it with my thumb if I didn't have a 3rd mouse button. I currently use comma and period for crouch and my AR weapon slot, but I'd be willing to sacrifice either of those for a build piece since they are more important

I play on controller I might move to keyboard but need a better setup but I should be fine I’m good in controller I was unreal in reload I was at one point top 50k but I feel like my skill is maximise and I did die a lot of times to creative warriors on keyboard and my friends are like top 20 k unreal and they are a lot better than me but they all play controller 2 of them play keyboard but I might switch but I can’t get the motivation to restart on keyboard and with my setup it’s hard to get good on something I haven’t got used to might be getting a new set up
i don't need to know how to build, i need to learn how NOT to build bc i have the "Creative Warrior" mindset so in ranked i barely build bc then i'm going to end up trying to quad edit and go for clip. (i can't quad edit YET bc i'm on 160 ping) but i know alot of piece control scenarios but in low ranks i'm in absolutely NOBODY build fights or box fights and if they do they're on HARD 0 ping and it becomes unfair. TLDR: I think like a creative warrior and i'm trying to fix it so i can play the game like a normal person.
I know exactly what you’re saying. I think you need to practice in creative maps that have a mat count. That way you become aware at how much you can realistically build without wasting all your mats before killing your opponent
@@reidtheninjai play some speed realistics and alot of the time i run out of mats because i'm doing too much. i used to want to be like raider 4.6.4 but then i turned edit on release off so it'd help me in a real game with peaks etc. i'm the 2nd best person mechanically in my friend group but i've got terrible game sense so i'll try playing more zone wars/ speed realistics on the weekend since i have school and i'm not allowed to play on weekdays. anyways, it's pretty hard playing console kbm on 160 ping but i'm trying ig
