I did weigh 26.7 stone then l weighed 14 stone and 1 1 lbs, l am now i'm back on my journey back to 14 stone. I lost over 11.5 stone with some help from Slimming World, this channel is here to help every man and woman who want to lose weight and eat great food.

I enjoy the flexibility of calorie counting compared to slimming world. Agree with your points, enjoyed your video. I've been using Nutracheck the calorie allowances seem to have been accurate for me to be honest. I found once I got to target with SW before, it was difficult to increase syns like knowing how many more I could have ...ends up being a cycle of gaining then losing while trying to find the balance. Knowing my maintenance calories with nutracheck seems simpler.

Absolutely, completely agree
Really enjoyed this vlog and agree with all the points. Calories are much easier to track and with SW some things just didn't make sense... so for example a mugshot is only half a syn BUT it has over 270 Calories in it! Also a mullerlight yogurt is only half a syn but has 100 Calories. You might therefore think I've only had 1 syn but in fact, eaten 400 cals
Calorie counting=always hungry
Slimming world = if hungry just eat free food or speed food.

Yes, I see that difference to me is control. I am seeing myself starting to overeat. Too much variety on SW and the opportunity to really overeat portions, portion control. You mentioned the boxed meals, calories are counted for you. I track on SW but it doesn’t tell you when to stop.

Completely agree with what you say in the video! I changed from SW to CC only 5 weeks ago.....and I certainly don't miss SW! Man, I feel sooo much more free and relaxed, I love the versatility of CC, and I certainly don't miss the anxiety I always felt about eating out when I was on SW! I feel my relationship with food and the way I think about food is improving too!
I have been toying between CC and SW as I'm a previous member. Your points are very good and valid points. I'm going to start CC as I found when doing SW was eating the same meals, etc, and missing foods like pizza 😂 that my partner would have. Thank you for the video, Patrick ☺️

Personally, I switched from slimming world to calorie counting during lockdown and I will never look back.I agree with all your 10 points, I intend to stick to my calorie counting as I feel it rains mean from eating a whole bag of carrots to eating too, this is just an example.Best wishes to you take care☺️

I don’t think it’s fair to say one thing is better than another. What works for some people may not work for others you just have to find what works for you
I absolutely agree, these are what I find better, not why everyone will find it better. Also a few weeks ago I did a video on why SW is easier than CC. So I have given time to both diets in the same way 🙂

Parts & parts. No real weighing with SW but hate that you can't grab a sandwich 🥪 out, but SW steers to healthy eating 🤔❤
I've been using nutracheck and going to sw. I have 4 weeks left on my countdown, and then that's it. I've been loving calorie counting more. Thank you for this video. I do think that slimming world helps a lot of people and so many are successful. It just hasn't worked for me. This was also my 2nd time around.
I agree with all the 10 points, I did SW for a long time, then lockdown came moved to CC loved it, then come Christmas it was a free for all, and i just couldn't get back on it so went back to SW but not doing good, looking at going back to CC again

I started slimming world on Wednesday and I’m struggling to get to grips with the whole syns hex a/b thing. It’s confusing to me that something that’s only 100cals comes up to 6syns therefore can’t really eat it. It just seems easier to count what you eat and include the foods you enjoy
Hi Patrick when CC you also have to be mindful of other macros like fibre fats & proteins. Processed foods can be relied on too much if ur not careful when counting cals. However I love my goodies within my cals. I still fill up on the free protein based sw foods & try to eat as much veg as I can. I've ditched 99% of the zero fat stuff - I found them bloody tasteless & made me so miserable. I'm convinced they make u crave certain foods aswell. I would love to see the meals u make are they still sw based?

I get it, but maybe try it for a week or two and see how you get on?
I understand this, what I would say is that if slimming world is working and you are happy with the results, then stick with it.
If not you can't do any harm trying something new.
I want to switch from SW to CC as I crave constantly but lack of structure scares me with CC

lost about 20lb with slimming world then went to calorie counting and find it easier with an app on my phone

Patrick, I’m from Florida, American. Trust me, calorie counting is great on paper but when you are a hearty eater, this Plan is a deal breaker. I rejoined and lost 8 lbs in 9 days. It causes you to eat healthier and eat lots of speed and free. I don’t eat sweets and junk foods but SW isolates those right foods and it truly is super healthy. I could understand calorie counting if you aren’t too much from Target (Goal weight here). In my case, it allows me to eat right and focus on a list of foods. I’m an online subscriber. I paid for a year. At Target, I want to go to Group flying into Heathrow and attending Group, getting instructions face to face. I see they have a Maintenance plan ahead. Too much fluctuations with calorie counting. I would do better paying and sticking to this. A lot of advantages but I understand the expense. I’m retired, turning 64 years old in January. I’d like to hit Target by the end of 2023.

@@WeighIntime I live in Spring Hill, further West. As you know, we Americans eat too much in volume. SW has helped my slam on the brakes and eat easily within my restrictions. Actually the speed and free foods is easier for an American to ‘tuck into’ because we have access to a lot of fresh produce. Florida does grow a lot if it’s own crops and Washington State and surrounding areas have apples, other produce. Costco and Sam’s have a lot to choose from. What we don’t have are HiFi bars and Skinny Whip bars. I believe I can import the HiFi bars as an occasional Healthy B choice. Haven’t needed to obsess on calorie counting but instead lean heavy on speed and free with sensible portions plus a snack. Yesterday’s was a pear and non-fat cottage cheese. That’s real food. I try not to include much junk food in there.
Decided to reconsider my decision, trying out a 1300-1400 calorie approach. Had a bad week. Back to overeating. I see why I need to join you with calorie counting.
