I've always been curious and wanting answers about this topic. When I asked my Pastor, he told me that the child's fate, wether saved or not, is dependent on the parents salvation. My heart's heavy and I just can't accept it knowing God is merciful and just, we can't even fully grasp that. This 11 min talk just clarified things for me. I'm thankful for Dr. David Bernard, his leadership and wisdom. What a great man of God ❤️❤️
14 But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” Matthew 19:14

Thank you for posting this! After reading through the entire Bible I had the exact same impression, but I don’t always hear it preached with the same amount of mercy.
This was good timing , i have been studying the topic of Original Sin, and PSA- penal substitutionary atonement, from both the Eastern Orthodox and Augustine viewpoints.
Babies, young children, and those individual with severe mental disabilities don’t have the physical capability to accept or reject Jesus. Therefore, God is merciful and grants them immediate salvation into paradise upon death.
Good lesson, I always receive this question concerning children going to heaven. One reason is b/c the Bible mentions "evil in their youth" several times. Many times children-youth were destroyed with family or destruction of colonies. Gen 8:21 is one always is asked b/c it states God did destroy youth, but only repented of not destroying the earth and every living thing. However, "every living" must not have included man or man child per say throughout the Bible.
Making my comment first before playing this video.. my own knowledge of understanding of the word of God.. about children.. is the mind of a child is probably closer to God than we can even fathom.. from what I understand the scripture says.. that's my own understanding. Is that a child or anyone with a child like mind is very close to God.. if we can keep our minds in all loving works towards God as children do.. then we would most certainly be a better population of species before our passing.. the child would be closer to God than we can imagine..
They are adults that have no idea there are sinning so will they be in heaven too? Reference check Luke 23:34 At 3:10 and everything else seems to be "conviniently taken" to support a well held belief You are held accountable if you dont know by the way luke12:48
I have a question for David K Dernard. He says that children who grow on pentecostal homes could be filled with the Holy Ghost at an earlier age. Does this mean that the children are saved because they are filled with the Holy, even without obeying Acts 2:38? Secondly, what about adults who say they have received the Holy Ghost, but resist Acts 2:38, stick ING to their baptism according to Matthew 28:19?
Accountability isn't just a physical age. It's all about conscious thoughts & actions. Just because we think somebody isn't intellectually capable of rationalizing sin doesn't mean it's true.
Will listen later. At work right now. Comment now. Lost a grandchild. Was In Nic unit. He was dying. All purple one day. I had made sure I dedicated him. Prayed for him. Don't remember which juncture but I turned and I saw beings come into that tall nic unit. They were tall and skinny. As tall as the high ceiling. White with grayish spots. Several of them. 4,5 or 6 They had come for him. I have info at house. I kept notes. I don't remember which day. But I think after. I went sleep in the waiting area. They told me next morning that a miracle had taken place. He was alive. They had not expected him to last the night. A miracle. He was no longer purple. Skin a good color. The day he did die my sister said, He's in a better place." When she said that I felt the Holy Ghost quicken me. Really made sure I dedicated my premie grandson. Had a supernatural visitation. One miracle and another I am almost positive remembering. Prayed for him over the phone and the epileptic fits stopped.
Thanks for the vivid explanation by way of biblical approach of the plight of children who died while still at the stage of innocence. I'm clarified. I could spare the same whenever I meet such scenario to comfort the bereaved for the demise of a child.
2 Samuel 12:22-23 “And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live? 23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall GO TO HIM, but he shall not return to me.”
While it's great that unborn babies do, I still have 2 questions: 1. If they automatically go, with no chance to choose, then how does "He doesn't force us"/"We must learn why sin is bad"/etc. work for them? 2. Can they earn any Judgment Seat rewards, or are they robbed by something they can't help (i.e., not living here)?
I have the same questions How come some children are predestined like jeremieah1:5, how come John recognised Jesus in the womb Luke 1:41-44 How come the bible says all man have sinned?
I can at least say, I believe a child that was lost in a miscarriage should be in heaven. The Bible says to enter heaven, we need to be born again, but if you weren’t born at all, you don’t have a chance to be born again therefore, I would say that child will be with Jesus in paradise.
This topic is a hard one to swallow. I'm apostolic and this topic has always been a difficult one to have. Either to disprove or prove, we all can't be for sure. I will say that the verses that settles it for me are these John 3:5 KJV Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Psalm 51:5 NKJV Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. Psalm 58:3, John 9:35, Rom 3:23, and... Proverbs 22:15 NKJV Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him. -which is the same as evil So anyone who is born of a woman by a early father is born in sin. And John 3:3 clearly teaches that EVERYONE must be "BORN" again. That means that anyone born must be born AGAIN. John 3:3 NKJV Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom of God." If God somehow does something different other than what he said must happen to enter the kingdom, then I'm ALL FOR IT!!!! However, I can only go off of what I read and understand.
1 Corinthians 7:14 KJV For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
There are indications in the Bible that those who died without knowing or accepting Christ will be resurrected and taught about Christ for the first time. Christ taught that the people of Sodom will repent in the Last Great Day.
The knowledge God has given Brother Bernard never ceases to amaze me.
He is wrong here. Babies do not go to heaven.
And wisdom.

yes but when does a child stop being a child, big question,
Yes please Lord may my baby be in heaven he's only two days old. I loved to meet him in heaven. Love you so much my baby.

Wonderful
Jesus said suffer little children to come unto me for such is the kingdom of heaven
I believe when à child becomes understanding of right and wrong then that child becomes responsible for the sin it has committed
under the law baby is righteous and will be with Lord eternally

Luke 23:34
Yes but then the child went to jesus without choosing so where its childs freedom to chose god
If babies go to heaven if they die, shouldn't the Bible say that somewhere? I wonder why it doesn't.
What sin did they commit to end up going elsewhere?

If Jesus died for the whole world than it seems he failed if even one person goes to hell
baby that cannot even speak he's not
