These ladies know how to live. Bless them and keep giving us hope. Life is to short, do your thing!!!
"I like to feel better dressed than other people"! What a great style statement! Very Inspiring ladies!
I'm 20. I never wanted to 'dress like an old lady' when I got old and these ladies have shown me that fashion has no age limit.
60 years on and hopefully I'll still be rockin' it.
(Seriously, these ladies are tres chic)
'You go girls'!! You are truly 'fabulous' and show that age has no bearing when it comes to style!! Truly original and individual!! Good for them!!
I'm 72 and I just loved the video. This is so New York - the attitude - the styles. I wish LA would take a lesson.
I am so grateful I have a grandmother who is one of these ladies. They are the people who give me hope.
I love the line at the end of the video, “Young women, you’re going to be an old woman some day. Don’t worry about it. Don’t sweat it. Don’t worry about getting older. Every era builds character.''
"I am dressed up for the theatre of my life every day, I get such a kick out of it!" YES!!! YES YES YES! I so often forget to dress for the theatre of MY life. These ladies have completely revitalized me. :) I love them.
OMG these women are amazing! I'm envious of their grandchildren having such cool grandmas!
This is exactly what this generation needs. Some virtuosity and respect of the woman who have been through, started, and set the trends and fads for decades.
I love it! I have never had the courage to even wear hats like we used to! I'm 71 and old enough to do what I want now like these wonderful women. I'm gonna start!
I'm so happy I found this when I did. They've inspired me and renewed my fashion spirit once again. So fabulous these women! They have hit it on the head with style!
women like this are what the world needs, i would love to be as funky and chic as these ladies!
Fabulosity is ageless! Can't wait to see this doc in its entirety!
We only go through this world one time, let’s make it memorable. You have to be happy with who you are and it will radiate thru what you wear.
I love how they just wear what they want and don't care what other people think of them. Me being a cosplayer and having my own style when I go to school I really respect how they think and how they wear whatever they want.
I've been waiting to watch this until today. God bless Netflix that made it possible here in Brazil!!!! It's a great inspiration beyond the simple mature ladies look, cos it's bigger for the glamour of being old and have style!! and love yourself and fashion!!! LOve it!!!
This is fabulous no matter what age we are we can still have style.
These woman were very inspirational. Love every moment of the movie.
these women are amazing. i believe i truly love fashion, but these girls live it. i think more people should strive for their spirit and confidence! AMAZING WORK. i cant wait for the movie
When I grow up, I want to be just like them. It's age - it's spirit! It's fire! It's imagination and creativity and I'm a NYer! I'm going to make false eyelashes out of my African grey's primaries!
What a hoot. Can't wait to share it.
Hooray for the old broads! Being one myself, this video is not only validating, but inspiring. Hey, we don't get ugly, we just get old...
OMG I loved this so much...I gave me so much courage and permission to be unique despite what people may think...Who Cares???!!!!!!!
Love the quote:
"There's no substitute for life experience"
This is wonderful. These ladies ARE fabulous. And,this helps prove that you can be stylish and artistic and creative no matter what your age...these ladies should be an inspiration to everybody.Have the courage to be who YOU are and, please stop this race to mediocrity that seems to be how most people present themselves!
So incredibly inspiring! I'm turning 24 soon and I often sweat about it, but these ladies change my point of view. Can't wait until the documentary comes out!
absolutely love the style and the spirit of these ladies! Style is inborn and these ladies proof that!
BRILLIANT! THANK YOU! LOVE THEM! I have so much to learn from them! I'm 56 and have great silver hair and am trying to find a new style...I think I just found it. THANK YOU!
I'll be 81 in December, and I dress the same way I did when I was younger. My mind is as sharp as when I got my doctorate and became an internationally known scholar, so why should I get fat and wear baggy "old lady" clothes? I wear skinny jeans, cowboy boots, business suits, skirts, blouses, as I did before the wrinkles appear. I'm too small for the outfits you show in your video, standing only 4'9" tall and weighing 85 lbs., I 've had strangers tell me I'm the hottest grandmother they've ever seen. Interestingly, although I have the ravages of time on my face and hands, people never believe I'm as old as they thought. I can see them give a start when I say I'm 80. So, ladies, if you live long enough, you get old. Revel in it and dress like a young woman.
+Elaine Chaika Thank you, what a fabulous, inspirational post! Youth is so over rated - I've got more confident with every decade, am approaching 50 now and would never want to be 20-something again, been there done that and I always feel to quote the song: 'The Best Is Yet To Come'. All women should make it their mantra!
Elaine Chaika I love old ladies and would definitely date them over younger women any day and anytime!
I hope you're still fabulous. Time goes by so quickly. My love to you. Keep on keeping on..
Happy next 85th birthday 🥳
I'm 44 and everyday I do my best to best the best woman I can be. It's just sad that fashion and beauty companies do not feature women of every age! The thing is as you get older elegance is the only way to go, perhaps they think it's boring! It's lovely to see these women!
I absolutely love this! I appreciate the person who was in charge of making this idea happen. I only hope to believe that if I am lucky to make it that far this could be a glimpse of my own future. It is so courageous and inspiring. These women dare to be nothing but their selves and embrace it all and I applaud and take notes!
Inspiring. I think of each one of these lovely ladies every morning as I put on my red lipstick...I bought a man's blazer the other day at a thrift store, slapped a beautiful pin on it. Lots of compliments and I feel great in it. Wonderful. Thanks, Alice!
I want to grow up just like these women! They have got it so right - god bless them and their wardrobes!!!
Years ago, I liked to wear nice clothes and look pretty. I somehow gave up and here I am 69 and finally I asked myself what happened to me? Nice to see this video. I need a huge overhaul. I could never get myself to get rid of my "old" outfits (lucky for me) I just put them away and I will get in shape and wear them again, only with a lot more bright colors. I'm sick and tired of this old me and trying to please everyone, except myself.

Do it!!! We want you want. you are a beautiful lady and you deserve to show that off!!!!!
In the process of trying to please other people, I hope you succeeded. I tried, but I failed to please people. I must’ve gone about it the wrong way.
@@nancyleader6967 You can never please people, they will find some other way to do so.
I am so anxious for this documentary to premiere in LA!!! I am organizing a little group of my fashionista friends to get all dolled up and go to the opening.
*When I move, I MOVE!* yes! There is nothing more inspiring to me than older women with bold fashion styles! I look up to these ladies ❤️
These ladies are inspiring! I tend to dress better/more out there than most people but I usually hold myself back from looking "too weird". I think tomorrow I'll push the limits :)
This looks fabulous. Great idea for a film. Looking forward to seeing the finished masterpiece.
I've been wanting to watch this for two years! I absolutely adore these woman and they are so inspiring because they don't care about what others think! :)
I love it!!! I can see youth in the souls of all these women. Although the body gets old, the mind and spirit can stay incredibly young and playful. Thanks for putting these ladies on film. Can't wait to see the movie!!!
Delightful!! Thank you ladies for BEing yourselves!
Love this I love the freedom and the confidence in these women Young at heart and looking good.
I LOVE IT!! I am so delighted with those stylish and brilliantly creative women! Hooray for moving the marker over about 2 standard deviations away from the black widow's weeds!!
...this is amazing. i kept wanting to write comments to quote these ladies throughout the video, but just everything they say is amazing. and the 90 year old with the orange eyelashes, oh my god! she's so cool! they're all so cool! I'm 15 and lately ive been in a funk because i hate that time goes so fast but now i'm not worried at all! these ladies have a great, positive, exciting outlook on life and i can only hope to one day be that cool.
I’m 75.. I love colour these women are astonishingly awesome? My lovely daughter bought me Ari Cohens books..fabulous!
Yes!!! we need to see more mature ladies of style!!
These women are at an age where their style has developed to the point where it is individual, singular and without another person's influence. Love, love them!!!
This is goals. Style has no age limit! I can't wait to be a fabulous old lady 💪🏼
such an inspiration i wanna be just like them when I'm older
This looks AMAZING. These women are so awesome. Good for them.
What a wonderful trailer, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!
My favorite quote from an elder friend: "Don't die until you're dead."
Wow, I love these ladies. They are so fun and young at heart. :)
"every era, it builds character" well said!!!
This is one of my favourite documentaries that I haven't seen.
This was sent to me...because I belong ( somewhat watered down) in this group!
It proves that more is better than less and colour is fun and young feeling..as well as uplifting!! Thanks for the show!
How fun is this! These women are so at lease in their own skin. Adored it - can't wait for the movie!
All my life being both artist and artwork has been part of my nature. I'm 62 now. These women are my sisters!
I saw the photographs in AARP bulletin so I clicked here and watched the trailer. I look forward to seeing this film. Inspirational for us all and very well done. Nice work.
This is amazing!!! These women are too fabulous for words and the fact that they don't give a shit what others think. THAT is the key!
I love their hats and their style and their attitude, viva la fashionista!
They inspire me so so much...Love 'em
I love, love this! Fabulous clothes - I had on a vintage suit the other day with a beautiful fur collar and got so many compliments; when you dress up, it makes you feel fabulous. I shared this on Facebook with many fashion designers and models that I know. THESE ladies are the ones who blazed the trail that we now follow - go, girls!
this is so inspiring and wonderful these ladies would make a great editorial spread!!! props to you all if only there were more people in the world like us!
Great trailer and such good music! Loved it. These ladies have the right idea.
What a wonderfully inspiring group of women. Bravo!
I'm so excited. I'm 63 and I love to dress. I will buy the book and get busy. I saw the ladies on T.V..
Hah Go Kevin go ! I'm 46 doing the same thing!
my god i love these woman!!! more people need to start thinking like them.
Love them. They are a true inspiration !
Awesome video. I am enjoying the freedom of being a creative dresser at 76 ❤❤❤
So pleased to see Zelda Kaplan in this. She's my idol!
Love it!
The lady in the black velvet dress who talks about the theatre is fabulous!
I am 15 and they got better style then my entire school.. admire their art and confidence! (=
Truly an inspiration..........my "style" has become stagnant and I'm motivated to get it back. Thank you
I LOVE THESE LADIES !! my mom even said she could see me being like them when i'm older
I love this. Now I understand why I dress the same way at 72. I was born and raised a New Yorker, I have lived in many places, currently Calif. You can't take the style of NY out of a New Yorker.. Love those Ladies
Love it! Inspiring, reassuring and joyful.
Absolutely love this trailer.
love the quote. "I am between 50 and death"..The philosophy of not giving a shit what any one thinks is inspiring especially if our actions hurt no one, promote independence, creativity, and make us all a happier people
They are BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love this. It is right on. We tend to BUY INTO the mindset of "societies' conforming dictates and concepts"! Throw it!!!!! Be who u r!!! Thanks for making this video and to all the woman in it.
I’ve seen women like these before online and in real life and they give me so much inspiration! I’m genuinely SO excited to grow into an older woman, because once I am then no one can tell me what to wear!
I LOVE this, and I LOVE these women!!
There is no tomorrow without today...TRACK
These women are fashion icons 2 me...love all of it
And I am kind of "snappy" myself...love fashion
this looks GREAT! so excited to be an old lady!
i'm so excited for this to come out!!!
These ladies are awesome. When I get to that age I can only hope to be even a fraction that cool!
Great to know there is life after 60 yrs of age. Keep it up!
They make me wish I'd known my grandmother; I'm told she was a beacon of such style. Everyone else in my family sees clothing as nothing more than something to cover their bodies with.
AMAZING! About time we glorified the wonders of age rather than endlessly worshiping youth
oh my god, so inspiring. i wish i could meet them all
This...is awesomeness! What beautiful women....who are ....who they are!
CLAP...CLAP....CLAP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this! Love these ladies, so independent and lovely.
Love it! Am so going to see it!! These ladies are fierce!!! :D
Iam fifty two and totaly dress like this I was a goth in the eighties and nineties, the 200's I went bezerk and mixed colors with my goth, i always dressed differently from everyone since high school i was always called names in H.S. and i loved it, i sure hope the older I get the better the chick i get, these ladies are absolutely FABULOUS!!!!!!🦇😘💗
I'm not scared anymore! I'm excited now! Aging is going to be so much fun!!! Oh, to have tea with these ladies! The stories they could tell!
Love, love, love these women!!! 👏👏👏👏and I want more!!
FABULOUS...BRAVO Ari! BRAVA Ladies!!! xoxo, R!
I love it, can't wait to see the whole documentary
I can't wait to see the entire movie!!! :D
I love love love this. I feel like I was born in the wrong era. I'm turning 50 and live in a very conservative area in Michigan....how do I own these looks without getting looks like I'm some eccentric kind of crazy?? I feel like I've been pretending my whole life, acting out what people expect me to be, or trying to "fit in", when all I really want to do, is don clothes like the ones in the video and hold my head high with the attitude of the beautiful lady that states "if other people don't like the way I look, I don't give a shit" (or something close to that) Help!! Any suggestions how to achieve this? I've never been one to really care about others opinions, but I also don't like to draw attention to myself. I just want to be the me that is hiding inside of me.
+Dawn Lueders You know I just turned 47 and feel I am only just becoming me and thank God now have the confidence to know what looks good on me and go for it! If you're in tune with your own unique plus points and know how to play them up (this is a work in progress for everyone) I don't feel there's ever a danger of 'getting it wrong'. I recommend Simon Doonan's book on 'Eccentric Glamour - How to Create An Insanely More Fabulous You' he tackles the subject with joy and chutzpah, it's a fun and inspirational read. And if you take a few risks with your look and stand out from the beige crowd then hey - enjoy the second looks you get from strangers - who wants to be invisible? Love and luck to you and enjoy the journey to a glamorous, fun and fabulous you! X
Don't wait!
I think the key is the play dress up like you did when you were a young teenager. Sort through your stuff and try on lots of different combinations. Hats are a great way to add a bit of interesting style. They don't have to be small evening hats! they can be Fedora or another classic hat. So many interesting more daytime casual but elegant, timeless, traveler, type of looks. Find a couple of nice light scarfs. Shoes that are a bit interesting but still comfortable. You do need to feel great wearing your clothes or they will be wearing you.
Just go for it!! You only live once!🌞👜👚👗👢🎩🔰
Fantastic. I have a fascinator I haven't worn yet and I'm saving it for the opening! I just found a blog that say's it comes out in April 2012.
